OMG my Virgo male has had the flu for the past week and a half and its blazing hot here where I am (in Oz) and OMG what a sook!!! He has forgotten all things in life except to eat, drink, sleep and whinge!! I offered to help him with whatever he needs yet he keeps saying "Im looking after myself and cooking"...WTF?? now if I were sick he'd not even bat an eyelid and make me open the front door to let him in.

Ive also noticed other Virgos (mostly females) become totally different people...like they are the sickest and have it the worst...OMG. No Im not being mean either, its just hilarious to watch.

He even admitted "im a real sook when Im sick" but no acceptance of help? strange!!

Ive not seen him for almost 2 weeks due to this flu and it must be pretty bad for him to take that much time off of work.

Is it normal for you to push people away when they want to help? His excuse is "I dont want you to get this"...and thats fair enough coz I dont want it either but sheesh!!!

Otherwise we're doing ok I guess (if I could see him)

OK so I shouldnt feel offended then - phew!!! Yes he said he "will survive"....so Ive left him be and hope he bounces back as the bright happy chap he normally is.

Thanks all, I thought it was something I did but given I havent seen him for 2 odd weeks I knew that wasnt the case.....wow, didnt know Virgos were so distant when not well - I almost took it personally that he didnt even say hi on Friday morning (normally when I get in and log on he's right there with his "good morning yada yada"....I thought it extremely strange.

Ahwell I'll shrug it off and wait til he's over it 🙂

Thanks all

It's even worse if you have a more permanent disease. I have ulcerative colitis (look it up. it's similar to Crohns) and I didn't get help from anyone for like, six months, preferring to struggle with the illness. Turns out that when I did go to the GP, I was in a preeeeeeetty bad shape and they had to rush my appointments for colonoscopy and I got a call like days after visiting the GP that I needed to see a specialist and stuff.

We have some sort of pride about asking help... we're easy with others being sick, but when we're sick, all hell breaks loose inside us...
