Virgos — Do they talk or don—t they?

If my girlfriend has one complaint with me it's that I don't talk enough. Indeed, I am true to the statement about Virgos, that they only say what they really feel is worth saying and have no time for small talk. However, as my girlfriend points out, all of the other Virgos we know are incessant chatterboxes who could probably out-talk most Geminis! The key difference is that I am a late born Virgo male and all of the other Virgos we know are early born Virgo females. Does being male or female, or being a first, second or third decan Virgo affect a Virgo??s ability to talk? My girlfriend thinks, because Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication, that I should have no trouble in talking. Indeed, I have no trouble in communicating with clarity, accuracy and succinctness when I do have something to say, but I simply don't believe in wasting my breath talking for the sake of it.

do you find 'being mute' a problem or does it bother you? if not, then the problem is in your gf... this showcase you're intellectually mature to speak only what is needed....

I know a Virgo guy at work who is a first Decan Aug 24th and he talks and talks incessantly, its annoying. A woman Virgo I work with ,who has an August birthday, also talks constantly. Both have good sense of humours but feel they have to talk to get attention. Now, I am dating a 3rd Decan Virgo who does not talk very much at all. I love this because he doesn't talk about nonsense just to hear himself. And you can see that he thinks about his answers before speaking. I joke with him about this because I find it refreshing. You know, the strong silent type.... Also, my ex Aqua would talk incessantly to anyone that would listen and I hated that. I am a Sag/Scorp cusper and the silent guys are damn sexy!

I say this to my guy all the time, that his actions speak louder than words...talking means nothing if its not backed up.

I know plenty of "talker" virgos who also back it up, though. One's sexy is another's trash/sneaky. It is what it is.

You are right Decan, didn't mean to make it sound like its all bad.

In the rare occasion I do 'talk' - It'll def be backed up with actions to follow.
Other times if the situation/ person calls for it, it'll just be actions.

Actions > Words anyday. Esp nowadays, shits like verbal diarrhea.

I'm a 8/26 Virgo with Merc in Libra as well as Merc Square Jupiter and Square Uranus. I also happen to have rising Libra and Venus in Libra.
I'm definitely not a talker. I have to speak to customers constantly at my job and can pull off "small talk" easily. But I almost go into a sense of auto-pilot. When it's a subject I love and/or know a lot about, I can talk someone's ear off. But I tend to stick with thinking ahead of what I'm going to say and if it needs to be said.

they say the first decan virgos talk the most its somewhat true for me but when i talk its very meaningful and deep things i say.

I find that either we talk too much or too little. I have never really witnessed an "in between".

Generally, most astrology reads describe us as "reticent" but even the quiet ones have the ability to talk non-stop once they get to know you/feel comfortable with you (I think we all have it in us) and even if we're not talking verbally, best be sure the non-stop chatter is taking place in our heads. I can literally physically tire myself out just by thinking. Some nights I have to meditate in order to stop the thoughts.

Put a Virg and a Gem together and the duo could def make "Guiness" for the longest conversation ever. I think they're the only ones who can keep up with us. LOL.

virgos only talk alot when they are comfortable with people in the group.

LOL...I'm with VV on that fact even if I'm not talking....theres a lot of it going on in my head (very tiring). I have to feel comfortable for me to really talk....other than that I'm pretty quiet

I know two virgals that talk all the time about nothing, just small chat, which is fine, and then they ask me why I don't talk as much as them. *shrug* I don't really get that, but whatever. They are both 1st decans. I don't know if that really affects it. Is your mercury retrograde? That may influence quietness.

My Virgo doesn't talk much either but his Virgo dad.. will not stop talking!!!

One of my Virgo girlfriends is pretty quiet.. another, again, chatterbox! She
could go on and on and on and on.. insane. Those are the Virgos I know.
Either quiet or torture.. I mean.. chatty lol

Virgo sun Virgo mercury friend wants me to stay on the phone with her but she's saying basically NOTHING and having a sag mercury I can talk a mile a minute. It's really annoying.
