What's your reaction, both internal (gut) reaction and external reaction when you see your partner upset/sad/frowning and you don't know why?

Do you assume it's you? Do you try to make them feel better right away? Do you let them be?

I will show my absolute concern if my partner is upset & try to discuss the problem with her. If she is too upset to talk, i will just be around to keep her company 🙂

I always assume that its because I'm not good enough or did something that didnt meet his expectations, so I try to get to the bottom of the problem & fix it if it was my fault. If not I'll comfort him and be extra sweet & nurturing like cooking his favorite dinner, bringing his coffee etc

I will be genuinely concerned especially if she is happy go lucky type. And try to see if something that is bothering her can be worked upon together.

But then, I do it for all my close friends. 🙂

I hardly see him upset/sad or frowning. He is Scorpio sun with Cap moon. His expressions never come on his poker face especially when he's under workload or stressed. He has the spirit of a fighter, " I can do it." I have been to his workplace and seen him working personally. He works hard and takes pride in what he does. I support him unconditionally. I don't stand between him and his work. His schedule is very tight sometimes but I don't see him complaining. I get so much inspiration from him. Although he never complains and refuses to show vulnerability, he shows a lot of affection. I know my affections have calming affect on him.When he does get frustrated once in a blue moon, I leave him to calm down for a bit. He gains his composure back. He looks for straight up affection, I give him that plenty. I don't assume the worst when he's very silent. When he has issues with me, he expresses it and confronts me head on. We discuss and solve it. I never feel clueless around him. We both always have solution to the problems and are mostly on the same page. We're both water dominant so our needs and expressions are different. Even if he comes back home from the tour at 2 in the morning, he knows I'll greet him with a kiss and a hug. He knows I'll be there for him no matter what.

As a cap moon, I can relate to your man and I think I'm quite similar. I'm sure you know by now how to recognize when he's upset by something and it appears you instinctively know what to do. There are very few people who can read me when I'm upset (most people don't know) and it is greatly appreciated to know someone can read me like that. Then, on the other side of the coin, when I am upset enough to show my emotions, those are the people that get to see it. No one else does.

If my aqua has done something to upset me I tell him about it directly as soon as it happens, as well as exactly why it upset me (even if it doesn't make sense to be upset over a particular matter). He is so sweet and will apologize, then he makes such good efforts not to do it again. Even if he doesn't apologize (because he didn't feel like he did anything wrong), he still makes efforts not to do it again. I notice!

There was one time, two weeks after the tornado damaged my house, that we met a 2nd insurance adjuster at the house (the 1st one didn't do a good report). Mold had already started growing on the ceiling and I was very upset by this. I was trying not to let the adjuster know how irrational I was feeling, because it's expected when you have holes in your roof and the rain poured in, whether you tarp it or not, there's still moisture that gets in that causes mold. Anyways, aqua could tell how upset I was and he was so supportive, laid into the adjuster and told him to stop dragging their feet, etc. He verbally confirmed and validated my feelings. I didn't even have to tell him how upset I was, he just knew.

@TrueCap, I have been with him almost 5 years now. He is very comfortable in my company. My Cancer Moon has that warm and nurturing quality that caters to his Scorpio sun. The Cap moon does make him far more calm than the other Scorpios I have encountered. He has this very strong independent aura but I know where his vulnerability resides.That instinct comes from a water moon to feel things on a deeper level. I have learnt to read his silences,his subtle hints,his complexed personality. I take care of it without him vocalising it. He becomes his happy self again so I know that I didn't embarrass him by making him say too many emotional stuff,lol. I saw his true romantic side when he was courting me and trying to win me over. I have seen the real side. I know no one will ever see it except me. When he said, " you're my home". There was everything he wanted to say in that one sentence.

Awwww. He's so lucky to have you and so lucky you understand him like that. I'm sure he realizes it!

I would not assume anything I would drop everything and ask them what's wrong and try my very best to make them better and help with the problem .
