Yea you're right, given their traits Sags and Aquas are supposed to be like soulmates, but there's something off about that pairing. I like aquas but something's just weird about them, something that makes me not trust them. They probably feel the same about me.
I've also noticed Aquas tend to be more into Cancers even though they're not considered astrologically compatible. Leo being another common match. Aqua/Cancer, Aqua/Leo relationships always seem so toxic imo, but they happen often, and last longer than you'd expect (if they don't lead to marriage).
I'm guessing Aquas just like how vastly different Cancers are with their endless affections and emotions, maybe it teaches Aqua to be more affectionate? Maybe they like how vulnerable Cancers are? Makes the aqua feel more secure and in control.
And I guess they like Leo's generosity, as it appeals to the humanitarian nature in Aqua.
I'm an Aqua and I have 4 close friends that are Sag and my mom is a Sag. I get along great with them in any other relationship but a romantic one. I find Sag men to be players and flaky. I'm not big on Cancers. I've only dated two and they were too dramatic for me to be guys. I do want someone who's more able to express emotions and bring intense emotions out of me since I'm so closed off with my feelings. I think Aqua women like Leo men because they are social and they'll spoil us. @SagiScorp I'm an Aqua and I've only had long term relationships. It could be that will all my placements being mostly Cap I'm an extremely earthy Aqua. My first love and I were off and from college until adulthood for 7 years and he is a Taurus with a Scorpio Moon. My soon to be ex husband and I have been together 9 years and he is a Pisces with Aries Moon. However I'm really interested in a guy I've been platonic friends with for 13 years and he is a Virgo with a Libra Moon. I'm not sure how he and I will work romantically but we are great friends... I think we are both too aloof for each other.
this question is so weird, because it doesn't seem to have a depth of understanding, because it's always more than sun sign;. I mean, if you are watery you wont be able to do anything with anyone you don't feel anything for unless you feel love for them. so there has to be a connect. and if you're earthy you need to feel secured, so you look for a mate that is going to have the grounding. I didn't even feel incompatible with the ones I was with because it felt right being with them, with exception of the 2nd. it felt off, and he lacked empathy and feeling. he was moved only if there were old people and with extreme weaknesses. but he had a sense of cruel justice and that blinded him and he lacked a lot of empathy. with a weaker person/individual he could overpower them.
@lisabethur8 I know that Sun Signs aren't the only indicator of someone's personality that's why I asked for other placements. I asked the question based off of my observations of my friends relationships based on Sun Sign because I wanted to know if there were other placements in their spouses charts that affected the chemistry. It was more for research purposes as I'm new to getting deeper into astrology passed the surface.

i've met two other Aquarians born in the 70s also who initiated stuff with me but i was very standoffish. one was 2-14-74...ish. could've been 76. the other i don't remember but he was around the same year with a Jan birthday. GREAT connection. i can't describe it. i attract Aqua men like flies...the one here w the Jan birthday met me at a bar (same as the others) and I disregarded him for awhile because i don't really like being approached at a bar. my ego loves it but i always feel like it's under false pretense. anyways i was being reserved and cold until he brought up Chuck Palahniuk...RANDOMLY! I love Palahniuk! one of my favorite authors. a satirical writer. i dove right into that convo super excited and really intrigued by him. later he told me he "sensed" that the convo people around us were having didn't stimulate me. weird! my connection is always strong with Aquas.
i'm still dealing with the Aqua/Cap moon. it's on and off and has been for about 2 years. he never goes too far, but he's just not ready for commitment. i get it and don't push the subject. when he's MIA i let him know if someone else asks me out (happened recently- was actually the Aqua/Cancer moon that was short-lived). as soon as i let him know he was over there trying to get my attention. took me to a brewery a couple times. he's not good at cute dates, but i don't really like the cute dates. a quiet, small-town brewery is sweet/thoughtful enough for me. he had a beer ready for me and all. most standoffish man i've ever met, but it's mostly an act. i know he cares. he shows me in subtle ways and when i confront it, he's either quiet or downplays it. he used to say he wouldn't be able to show me affection because he's a cruel person. i told him he only acts cruel but he's not. so to tease him whenever he does something nice or cute, i go "wow! i forgot that this is what cruel people do." he laughs or tells me to shut up playfully. we have this really odd connection. not sure how to describe it, but i don't think we will ever fully walk away from each other...i think we feel very safe together. & we both have this innate understanding for one another.
if he ever "says too much" (emotionally involved), he's very embarrassed and turns pink the following day or is even avoidant. i always act nonchalant like i don't notice, & i never bring it up. he doesn't like being vulnerable, & i get it. i pretend like everything's normal and then he slowly emerges/feels safe again. i know he cares even when saying it verbally makes him uncomfortable. he's my light and my grouch

I'm sorry for messing up your username! We are going through a divorce because he's lied to me about so many detrimental things. He became so possessive and insecure because I'm doing well and becoming successful but he doesn't make as much as me nor does he have the ambition to try.... We are on two different levels. I pay most of the bills and take care of our kids. He has put his hands on me in the past... Not a lot but he has and apologized. At first I was just going to separate but then I found out he used some of my information to secure financing for something I didn't agree to and now he has tarnished my credit without my knowledge. This was hurtful because I've stuck by him through so much! Enough was enough!
