So I'm on my way home from class but stopped in the ritzy Neighborhood my university resides in to look at some stuff on my IPhone. Next... thing I know a cop pulls up next to me. I roll down my window..

Officer:"What are you doing"
Me:"Just looking some stuff up on my phone... is there a problem officer?"
Officer:"Yes your parked in front of someones house."

Whaaaaa—? LOL, I was just think.. since when has it ever been illegal for me to be sitting in MY car, minding MY own business, parked on the side of a street? I just said w/e officer and drove off. But now here's the icing on the cake. When I get home I got out of my car and noticed another cop car just pulling up to the stop sign at the intersection in front of my place. It struck me because.... he had his music blaring. Since, when do you see a police car blaring music with the windows rolled down much less playing music at all!? Anyways I go around back and I notice another police car coming up the other street and they slowed down as they neared me and just stared but drove past. I'm like god man w/e fuck you police. As I go around to the front again to go inside my place I see another cop pull up to that same intersection coming the same way the first one was with the blaring music.... and then another coming from the opposite direction and ANOTHER from the south!! NOW, I'm thinking.. omg there is some dude they are after in the neighborhood and I better get inside and lock the doors so I do. I see lights flashing out front and I go to look but it only looked like the cops had got out their cars to converse with each other... so I just got on the computer and forgot about it.

Five minutes later my brother comes in. I said yo man watch out those cops are after someone in the neighborhood. My brother tells me YEAH IT WAS ME!!! LOOOOOOL what! He said he was the guy they were frisking down in front of our place when the lights where flashing———.... he said he tried to pull out his wallet to give them his identification to prove who he was and that he lived at this residence but they requested he allow them to frisk him first to make sure he didn't have any sharp objects!!!!!! my brother is like *sigh* sure go ahead. My brother wouldn't hurt a fly trust me ^.^ Apparently someone in the neighborhood called the cops on him because he was walking in our neighborhood wearing a HOODY!! They said they also have been having problems with solicitation as well... obviously a euphemism for drug dealing I just couldn't believe it really. My brother is about to go to law school he's been accepted to Tulane, Baylor, etc. and now he's a drug dealer with insidious motives because he's wearing a hoody in our neighborhood.

Just makes you wonder about that Trevon Martin case. Honestly....

Yeah I think had they just stuck to the facts about what actually happened it wouldn't get so unclear about who dun what where. Kid had no gun. As far as I remember he didn't have a weapon. So... even if you wanna argue that a fight ensued since when is called self-defense, with a gun no less, to kill someone. Their is no way in a fist fight either of them could have killed each other.. and the one more likely to have the upper hand was obviously the older person (well you would think ^.^)

Anyhow, my brother decided to look at it in a positive way. He said it made him feel safe that at least the police take stuff like that seriously... but said "Will I ever be able to walk around in a hoody?"

it's all about the FEAR.

if scared people have guns: shoot first, questions later. Vigilante style .

It's like the wild west. (no rules, no boundaries) They'd do better living back then, because innocent people die back then too. Humpf. What's the difference NOW? probably NOT much.

Ever see that film/movie, "The Village"?

It's based on fear. People afraid of what's out there, because it's a world of baddies.

Yeah me too.
I dunno not that I wouldn't stop in front of a gas station or wherever I just figured it wouldn't be a big deal. Why should it? There are people who park there cars around my property all the time. How was the cop to know that that wasn't my house? Honestly, I'm just playing the devil's advocate I guess with that sorry ^.^

Yeah my bro's fine just think the apprehension can get a mighty bit out of hand. If you never wear the hood for when it's cold what's the point in even having one ^,^? I never really thought of the hood as a stylish thing... but ehh that's me
