Both. Since the Gregorian Calander didn't account for a leap day, January 20th is one of the few days that lands either at the end of Capricorn or at the beginning of Aquarius. I know this because I am a January 20th birthday and I find personal traits from both. I consider myself an Aquarius but I don't smack people around for calling me a Capricorn either.

I'm a Jan 20 baby 🙂 to answer the initial question tho, it really depends on time, I think if id been born 14 hours earlier I'd be a cappy.

As oppose to descriptions, not sure. I have a best friend that was born Jan 19th same year and we have both distinct differences and odd similarities. I also have a few friends who are tru cap, whom I can assume keep me around because I liven the mundane.

I had a gem ex that wanted to know and hooked me up with a full blown horoscope, I think the only planet I have in capricorn is venus, all the rest of the major planets are Aquarius and Leo. I've had friends say I'm hard to describe and when I think about it, I can't even think of a place to begin.... ;p

Whenever I interact with him, I just feel like he is pulled in two different directions.
It's almost a painful experience dealing with him, because it's obvious that he's fighting with himself.

He is just very indirect, I do think he tries to talk about things, but then just skirts every issue, makes up stories, and you just know it is not the truth. I do think he has good intentions.

...that pretty much describes every guy I've ever met from Pensylvania. I have several besties that live there and they all - to some degree - act exactly as described lol

my ex of five year's birthday is january 20th. i used to wonder this same question all the time, then realized that he definitly had qualities of both signs.

My cousin was born on January 20th,once i got into astrology it wasn't clear to me how he could be a cappy. He's super outgoing, loves to go out and try new adventures, likes to drink and doesn't do good with following orders. He enjoys helping people in need and is affectionate by action not words. He also doesn't like quiet settings or people so much..i tend to keep to myself from time to time but once you get me going it's hard for me to shut up (Scorpio,Sag Cusp) so hes always gotten along with me, but interestingly enough my aunt who was born just 5 days before him,get's on his nerves because she's very reserved,calm,quiet,structured..i love that about her but he gets bored.

I do see some cappy influences however,he likes some form of stability and at times tends to be strict with his Sag daughter whenever she gets too crazy. He's not afraid to show affection to his wife in front of our family, but then again he is a bit of a flirt when talking to women, even if he may not realize it and claims to "being friendly".
