I have EXTREME commitment problems and I've been noticing it gradually throughout my teenage years. Elder aquas will I grow out of this or will I be FOREVER ALONE

You have problem committing or people have problems committing to you...or you have problems committing to other people,because people have not been committed to only you in the past?But w/e the case it all starts with trust..imma tell u from experience..NO relationship will go anywhere or far,if you both cant trust each other...you gotta find sumbody you can trust, dnt worry about past failed relationships if that person hasnt givin you a reason to hold back...& most importantly you gotta be honest with yourself about your feelings on who's causing the rifts in the relationship & why..I feel on the being alone part tho..its really hard to find REAL people these days 😢

omg yes. I have trust problems and idk. I just find being with someone and committing myself to one person weird lol. I guess I'm afraid of getting close to someone and then have them later on put my high hopes down. 😢

Yeah I think u should look @ ur chart..& find out more about urself..it might answer some questions about urself & help u deal with that..idk lol my moon sign is Aries..so i know exactly wut u mean about committing to 1 person!..BUT to me once u find that person..that SPECIAL person..its hard to let that go..so worrying about commitment & all those feelings of fear of whatever just go away...dnt let past failures dictate ur future..thats one of my biggest hurdles ive had to deal with in life,so i know what im talkin bout lol hope that helps.........

& WTF is that blob?i dnt think ive ever seen anything like that lol & 1 more thing..we all I think..or atleast hope will find that person i think its jus a matter of how far ur willing to go to find them..🙂

I used to resist commitment. Turns out, it was for good reason.
The key to committing was simply finding the right fit while others were settling for less and perpetually second-guessing important aspects of the relationships with their girl/boy-friends. Which looked entirely bleak from my perspective, so I avoided it until I was fairly certain I wouldn't be doing the same.

I agree with you. I think that might also be whats up with me. I don't like settling however at the same time, I deep down believe no one's gonna be good enough.

the sooner you discover who you are the more accepting you will be of yourself and those fears and worries will melt away.

cafeastrology.com is a great one. it breaks down each aspect. once you identify them, you can wander around the boards and get some really great insight.

I did chart before but I'm doing it again and this time I'm gonna read to find. 🙂

I agree with Dunce. In my observation of Aquas, they have tendency to let their past failures dictate their future. Whilst, being gun shy after failure is understandable...it is not healthy to get caught up in past mistakes. The only way to learn is to put yourself out there. You will experience failures in relationships. But, consider it failing forward to what you are really looking for out of a partner. I would warn against the Aqua tendency to date "charity projects". This will backfire on you more often than not. 🙂 And can lead to some heavy-duty resentment on your part. Other than that, go out there and socialize with people. Whatever happens, you will be alright.

I am but after a while things get too serious and idk if I can handle it Dx

What exactly is it that you think you can't handle about commitment? Is it committing to the wrong person? Letting someone down?

Its all of that and getting bored with the person or hurting someone. I think I'm on my own secret journey to fing perfection but thats not realistic.

You are correct. Perfection is not realistic, but more importantly it discourages personal growth. Perfection is the very hallmark of stagnation and in my experience Aquas detest stagnation. Things are always constantly evolving. As far as hurting someone...if you make it a priority to be honest with another person and treat them with respect then that is all you can do. If things are not working out then you let them know. Fight for the relationship if you feel that it is warranted. Then, move on if it is not what you want.

But, avoid doing the Aqua disappearing act on someone. That is more hurtful, then telling them the truth and walking away.

At age 18, there are so many interesting avenues for you to pursue outside of relationships. 🙂 The fact that you are willing to address this issue within yourself at such a young age is a good sign. I think that you are going to be fine. Good luck on your journey!

you are young. commitments are for people over 25. of course this is not true. but i rather you focus on school before worrying about boys.

you're so right. I concentrate on school a lot and I guess thats what also why I hold back because I know things are gonna change but then again I can't help but feel like once the excuse of school and reaching success is gone taht i'll still keep running. bleh idk anymore 😢
