Okay, maybe I should've posted this question here early but what the hey, better late then never 🙂

I'm looking for a third job but I need it to be a 'night' time gig -- only because I have two jobs during the day and school.

Here's the problem -- I'm unsure where to look. They aren't advertising night jobs like they do Morning, afternoon and evening jobs.

So I need suggestions, what can I do at night—

haha - Aqui, the Aquas I know have given me that advice when seeking part-time job during studies...while all the cappies I know at uni have worked few jobs while studying...

Aqua has preference for intellectual achievements, Cappy has a need to be secure financially while doing anything else - not much to be said to deter them IME...and their grades still come out great !

So Sweetie,
babysitting?
telemarketing/telesales - the 24hr offices?
Escort service 😉 - lol at your other posting on scorp boards
security guard - very quiet, you can study as well
Hotels - so many possibilities...

All depends - what skills you have, some are willing to train, etc...if you google night jobs...

What are you willing to do? A lot of the previous jobs mentioned are location dependent.

Bartender: Depending on where you apply you might get it. Some places will be thorough and some won't. Not to mention you might have to learn how to mix a few drinks unless it's a pub and all you have to do is pop open a bottle and pour draft.

Janitor: More work than you're asking for. Again depends on where they put you too. You might end up at a retirement home or you could be cleaning up somewhere 30 miles away from where you live. Think about this one carefully.

Cab Driver: 24 hour service and you're going to have to drive for endless hours and compete with everyone else working your hours too. Not to mention if you don't make fare you get next to nothing. So if you think you're going to be cruising around in a cab then you've got no fucking idea what you're getting yourself into. It can be an extremely dangerous job if you're thinking of driving up into the seedier parts of town in a cab.

Security Guard: Most places have a training fee now that are worth more than the uniforms they provide. Not to mention the need for CPR training. At the end of your shift you have to write up a detailed report and file that shit. Boring as hell and you might have to walk up and down a few flights of stairs every hour.

Everything else mentioned is good.

Don't short change yourself, cappie. Put school first, and tighten the purse strings. If you get a night job, then when will you have time to study? If you must get a third job, then get a job where you can study and work at the same time in the evenings. Maybe work at the university library?

I don't want to short change myself Aqi, but I'm in a bit of a pickle. I wish I knew this school like my previous but I bearly know the campus yet. Working there would be great actually!

Bartender: I have a license to bartend because I use to be a waitress. So this could work ...

Janitor: That was like my first real job, so I'm familiar with this. I have a sucky boss though, she didn't like paying me lol

Cab Driver: Hahahaha, my driving's not good enough for this, I'd scare the person to death and I know it 🙂

Security Guard: This would probably be a good job to study on too -- I wonder if I could do my math homework —??

Good stuff AL.

Oh Cappy, are there other schools around? High schools, etc? You could offer private tutor/mentoring service for subjects you were good at...I tried this myself...

Then maybe make some flyers or advertise some more on the babysitting gig...it's what you know, you have references, word of mouth, etc...

GOOD LUCK - Try not to stress too much - ha !

AL, IME - in my experience, the cappys came out with ok grades - I'm currently in a no-win battle with 2 cappy family members about not working to just focus on studies but it seems they do worse with no job ! How's this even possible?! 😕
Plus there're folks (not caps) that never worked and grades still fell behind - it's the ability to prioritise/manage

SB ! 😉

Cappysweetie hehe I am slow but I finally got it!!!!

hahahaha, no problem Aqualeo, my very familiar with the realworld along with college life. Yes, I'm looking for a 3rd gig to put some eatra money in my pocket. I want to buy things, like healthy food and clothes. I can't do that with just two jobs -- I know, it sounds insane but the way things are in my state, three jobs is average really.

Do I want to do it? No 😢 Will I do it to pay for stuff? Yeah ...

Yeah, 3 jobs would drive me insane!

Though I may have to take on a second job soon...Or I might have to find a job.

F**kin' economy!!!!! Stealing away all my hopes and dreams

Yeah, I've actually worked three jobs before (I forgot all about that) -- but thats when I was young and flexible -- plus, it was only for the summer. Now I'm not sure, but I think I will have to do it anyway, although I now feel that its a bad idea.

I thought you already had a job OFA? What happened :O And don't look at the economy as stealing hopes and dreams, look at it as making us rethink what we really need to do, you know?

Well I do have a job, for now. Now I suppose it's up to fate whether I get to keep it. I will be bummed if I get laid off because I love my job and it's the only I ever have But stupid MGM Mirage thinks laying of hundreds or thousands of people is a good solution. Whatever man!!

But as you said, I do see it as if I do get laid off, maybe there's something different in store for my life. Or if they economy gets cleared up, perhaps I'll get re-hired. It's happened before, but I could swear, lay-offs were more necessary (seemingly) around 9/11...

Oh, so they are laying people off there. Okay, I see. Well, just to calm your nerves I would look from something else really fast just in case the worse happens. Its better to always have an ace in the hole right?
