Aries & Depression

I know Aries needs independence like they need air. They need to be able to do what they want, when they want, how they want, & they need to be able to do it yesterday without any delays. But on this planet that type of freedom is reserved for the few that can afford it. Most people have to work everyday to survive. Have responsibilities & just don't have the resources to do what they want, when they want, how they want to yesterday. Most people do what they can do rather than what they want to do. The majority of people are stuck where they are & it would take a lot of work, effort, continuous focus, & patience to be able to change that.

Does that lead to stints of depression for Aries? The fact that you might sometimes feel "trapped" in your current circumstances & don't know how to break free?

Yep! I don't like working in an office with rules and regs unable to run the show like I want. This gets me depressed... a lot. I have to work myself into a positive state by using affirmations and self talk in order to get through the weeks sometimes. It's rough but I need a paycheck. And right now I don't have the focus or discipline to pursue my own business which is ultimately what I need and want. It's often a tug of war between what I tolerate and what I have a passion for...

I asked because I thought about Aries characteristics & realized that life might be especially hard on an Aries. An Aries needs to be free & independent, but that type of life style is not available to most people on Earth. And on top of that you have to have a lot of patience to work towards that freedom. Another thing Aries doesn't have. I see Aries as the go with the flow type. The path of least resistance. I've also read that too, but when life stops flowing & the path of least resistance becomes stagnant I could see how that could cause depression. And I've personally seen Aries get depressed from situations like that. I also heard some Aries talking about depression on the boards & was wondering if this was something you had in common.

I've also seen that Arians are idealists. Like Lovely said they really want to leave their footprint on this world. Make a change & have some type of purpose, but it's not always that easy for them to do that.

Not sure if this thread is still being followed but as an Arian I will add my 2 pence!

I am definately an idealist......I always look for the good in people and expect the best from them because I give nothing less! Yet people let you down...friends....new friends. Maybe its the idealism/ naivity of an aries but it really hurts when countless people let you down....its not that we are that social...we are quite content with our independence and alone time....but then when you reach out to people and get knocked back it can take a while to get yourself back out there. Alone time becomes really lonely and depressing.

I too want to be self employed but currently work in a menial job. Tolerated it because I have nice colleagues but the company directors (im their P.A dont ask how I fell into this role) did something really underhanded in my book and gave some "p.a" projects to another colleague. Feels like a kick in the teeth and I dispise the directors immensely. Once someone offends an aries there is no going back! I am biting my tongue and trying not to be ice cold, whilst I find another job. (they are the type of ruthless people to sack you for speaking out!) If I didnt have a timeconsuming hobby outside of work I would be suicidal as I truely hate this job. But I know at a time like this I am lucky to have a job....it pays for my hobby too!

My skin has been rather problematic lately which makes me very depressed and anxious I have become a total recluse and single for what seems forever. I am attractive but lack confidence when my skin plays up. This too makes me suicidal (not actually, but feel very desperate at times!) Again, I have a hobby that keeps me going

Final thing I can think about that makes me depressed is animal cruelty. It burns me up to think about it and makes me soooo miserable that the world is so fucked up! And I cant really do anything to change the world!

So I think aries can get depressed easily as we are so normally upbeat and positive but then the world just lets us down in so many ways!

We Aries are suppose to find where boundaries can be broken through, like Star Trek etc.

I like office rules and regulations at times cuz it gets me grounded, but abused authority especially in the office pisses me off like no other. I tend to not to be chill around my bosses in life. For some reason female bosses can get me to do my work though, not sure why haha (I guess I respect them more).

Yeah when I feel trapped and powerless I get wicked depressed. Doesn't usually last long though, most Aries have a very quick emotional rebound time.

What your all saying is true but i think a rise in mental illness for aries is coming as well. But, i do think its other people that help make them depressed. Im abit busy right now so cant comment much but i will later 😄

The past few years Astrology was working against us to keep us in panic. The Saturn in Virgo got me really depressed and overworked mentally about many things. Environment and the people around us (work, school, family) can do a number on our emotions. I definitely think we Aries deserve a GOOD boss at work, it doesn't suit us to piddle around in work drama, when we are so creative and active in places we want to excel at such as work etc.

I tend to get depressed (and it could be just me) over work issues with a boss, and usually I track my depression back to that relationship.

Negative people are the end of me. I can't tolerate their attitude, feel I need to tell them they are wrong about life, and definitely have to keep myself away from negative people if I am to recharge.

With our great capacity to love and do good and think positively its a shame we ever get down, but alas maybe that is for us to struggle with.
