Aries gal too strong

I don't get it . . . I tend to attract mostly Leo guys but I don't really care to be with them. I like the earth and water signs more but for some reason I think I scare them off after awhile. I am patient with them and let them do their thing without being possessive because I like my space as well. I have venus in Taurus and mars in Leo so what can I do differently? Are Aries girls just too much for a earth or water sign to handle?

no matter what you do, you ram unconsiously, you can't change who you are. Earth and Water are way more patient mentally and physically so even your mannerisms give so much away.

---What you consider ?strong' is the aggression (can be physical or mental) that Fire reacts with when Water or Earth is patiently trying to express or when they see the patient manner/passive aggressive as manipulation, which it is sometimes.
--- Air reacts by going silent, extra detached or disappearing acts?so you hear most say they're cold, etc?
--- Earth digs their heels in and refuses to bulge and if you hit fire with stubbornness, they just shoot off in every direction even more aggressively
--- Water whimpers a little so others see it as weakness or over emotion and impatiently leaves

--- Like in abuse situations or relationships, everyone gets abused or manipulated at some point right but the reaction's different.
------Fire shouts out the most so many think Fire signs have the most abusive relationships, but they don't?they can't actually bear any form of darkness or pessimism? even if it's not that big a deal 😛
------ Air detaches, starts another life elsewhere without your knowledge
------ Water and Earth reacts similar, they think it will get worse before it gets better or something like that *shrugs* but always present a happy public front ? behind closed doors, another matter.

I think Earth has the same attraction or pull to Fire like Water has to Air.
I.e.
- Earth wonders how Fire flits about with foot never seemingly touching the ground (if they spend too long, earth tries to change fire too much ? turns into nagging and fire feels suffocated)
- Fire wonders how Earth manages to stay so grounded (but never has the patience to attempt to figure it out or listen to the seemingly constant criticism)
- Water wonders how Air manages to appear so detached (has enough patience to attempt to flow with Air, attempt to figure it out but gets drained as they're actually trying to change while Air flits about the same)
- Air wonders how Water is able to have an emotive response to most things (not enough patience to understand, dismissive as they recognise Water trying to flow which they interpret as Water trying to change them)

From my experiences and observations,

Air and Fire speak similar language ? IDEALISM.
- They both express idealism ? Air's objectively and Fire's subjectively
- Fire's emotional Air so reacts way more than Air and more personal
- Air's more detached and less personal
- Air helps Fire to engage objectivity, detachment and impersonality
- Fire helps Air get more personal (self) and realise their own emotions
- This is done without both realising as done optimistically and playfully so there's no bitterness or feeling that one's trying to change the other. Both restless so there has to be elements of shiny objects/fun before you can get through.
- Both have more live and let live attitude so won't stay around authority for long

Water and Earth speak similar language ? REALISM.
- Both are realistic but Earth's more objective and Water subjective
- Earth objectively gathers data to help realistic pursuits
- Water subjectively gathers data to help realistic pursuits
- Both very patient and think tangible so can attempt to guide others to their way
- Earth helps Water get more objective and not react so personally
- Water helps Earth realise their emotionality or trust their intuitions
- Both have a more pessimistic or the ?world needs correction' type of attitude
- Hence, both are holders and promoters of societal standards so similar outlooks

For Short term,
- Enough fascination to hold any sign together
- Enough differences to learn from the other ? if you many difference, you get distracted from the relationship and focus on mending differences

For long term,
- Heavily charted Air/Fire better with another Air/Fire with tiny sprinkling of earth/water for reality checks
- Heavily charted Water/Earth better with another Water/Earth with sprinkling of air/fire for some optimism

I don't know if I would see this as a good thing, something to be proud of if it leaves you alone, unpartnered with the ones desired/attracted to.

Think of it in reverse ... if you were among a person you couldn't stand to be around because they were too aggressive (intrusive upon others business with intentions of control = aggressive) .. do because of it, you didn't want to be around the person.

It's not a matter of not being "able" to handle, as in capable .. it's a matter of not standing the personality type, and so moves on to a person who is likeable.

I know for myself, being a water person, that this has been the reason for avoiding any person.

I can handle being with them if I chose to .... I just didn't like the person so chose not to relate.

And this would be true for all people. If you like a person, then relations come easy between you because you like the person. If you don't like the person, then relations between the two are strained because you don't like the person.

It has nothing to do with capability ... it has to do with wants.

If a person doesn't want you .... then they won't deal with you.

i haven't read all the above posts but I have venus in taurus and like you, i prefer earth signs as well. shockingly i'm not usually the one being dumped either. also, an earth sign has you beat in the patience department any day of the week no matter how hard you try lol. if anyone is going to put an aries in their place it's an earth sign. they've got that silent, serious, "I'm in control" thing going for them and i'm moooooore than happy to go along with it 😉

it's been my experience though that the breakdown of these relationships isn't that one person is too "intense" but the awful communication. i think aries are very poor communicators and act very childish at all the wrong times and earth signs shut down and can be VERY uncompromising.

also, i don't think earth or water signs find aries too much to handle per se. i think they're just more reasonable and know when to put an end to something that they know is not going to change.

Yes I do believe patience is one of the hardest things for an Aries to come by. We want everything yesterday. I guess I may look into a fire sign next time because maybe they can handle the Aries impatience and drama.
