Feelings/emotions --> impact on everything

He's a Capricorn, but the problem is not him. It's me.. since the answer to your third question reads: it's a pattern in my life no matter whom I'm with. People I'm romantically involved with just have such an impact on me (Venus in Pisces), that I can't seem to be happy long as my relationship isn't going great.

Being an Aries impulsiveness and emotion are the strongest motivational factors for everyday life. When everything is fine with my s/o - life is beautiful and I feel empowered to do anything. When we fight however, I don't feel like doing anything but crawl into bed and be by myself all day. This can lead me to sabotaging my own life sometimes, which leads me to feeling unhappy and consequently mad and annoyed. This again annoys my partner and a vicious circle is created..
Can anyone relate? Any recommendations on literature, tips&tricks how to stay centered?
Omg this is soooo like me. My fucking emotions control everything and when my relationship takes a nosedive it affects everything else in my life. Out comes my self destruct button. It's really draining, and yes I completely agree that it creates a vicious circle. But for your own sanity you have to break the cycle; get off the damn roundabout.
I don't know about literature but talking with friends helps - guys as well as girls, in order to get an interpretation from someone that's not close to the situation. And definitely don't pounce on anything with a response you might easily regret. Walk away, breathe, then come back with a more measured response lol

I've been through this and IME the more I thought about it the more I realized I was suppressing my emotions because I would think "I shouldn't be acting like this" or I shouldn't feel this way." For the longest time I was always emotional until I learned how to deal with it and this is what I did:
The first step to dealing with your emotions is accepting them for what they are. This helps if you are completely honest with yourself and the more brutally honest you are the easier it is to get to the root of your emotions. No matter how weak or "stupid" your honesty or emotions might sound you have to be open to them.
If you find it difficult being honest with yourself the best way to find the truth is by exploring ALL possible reason you feel the way you do.
The first step to dealing with your emotions is accepting them for what they are. This helps if you are completely honest with yourself and the more brutally honest you are the easier it is to get to the root of your emotions. No matter how weak or "stupid" your honesty or emotions might sound you have to be open to them.

Lastly, you must confront the truth and be realistic about it! Meaning see it for what it is neither good or bad it just is what it is because at the end of the day we are all human and all susceptible to these emotions. Some are just better at handling it then others. The more you practice this the easier it is to understand yourself and define what you will and won't accept and it will be easier to not put yourself in situations that make you feel that way. Most importantly it helps you build mental strength and know yourself a little bit better.
At least that has what's help me cope with and understand my emotions. And honestly most of the time these emotions stem from insecurities. But it's ok! Because everyone has them but the more knowledgeable you are about yourself the easier it is to cope with situations that are not always ideal.

Yup, but there are 2 problems in this: first, I tend to get disappointed more often than any "regular" person, because I tend do expect too much from people or situations and second, the distraction part is easier said than done to me.. You describe an internal motivation for finding a new challenge and I don't seem to be able to overcome my sadness in an effective manner. By talking to others I can get externally motivated to get my mind off of the matter for a short while, but that's about it.
It gets really bad when I have to work or do college related stuff - I don't get anything done it's crazy and frustrating. I always admired men in the way how they can put personal bs aside and completely focus on work. I don't want to be the person, who can only function when she's happy, because romantic life won't be peaches and cream all the time.

.I used to go through this also but and still do to some degree. With my venus and mars in Aries I love to like someone and when things don't go the way I want it, it sucks the energy out of me. I have learned to minimize it at least long enough to be productive and then when I have some down time, my gem sun and Virgo rising analyzes it. Lol! The reality is, you have to find your own inner happiness....everything else is only a bandaide.

That is sooooo me too! Drives me nuts, you feel like doing nothing and just being depressed. I have noticed though once you let it go (its dead to me) I never go back. Its just hard for an Aries to let go on things sometimes. 😢

You know I've never had that problem with fighting the child-like behavior in me. I've always embraced that part of me! Nothing wrong with holding on to that child within! I feel that is what keeps the spark in my relationships alive because I'm always that curious child trying to explore with my men... because you know how child-like they can be too! And instead of being that mature woman thats always their mother if you let that child side out at least once in a while you become their spicy lover again! 😄
Of course there needs to be a balance. There are times when its appropriate and inappropriate. You don't know how many times I see men trying to have fun with their women and their woman reprimand them. Mood killer much? I feel like thats the kiss of motherly death sometimes.

Lol that's definitely true with the RIGHT men though. I've had experience with a Taurus and a Capricorn men being completely thrown off by this behavior, which made me feel stupid. You're so right however, it's best to accept, embrace and work with it, as it's a true part of us. Long as we learn to turn this behavior into spiciness instead of malicious tantrums we're good 😄

It is hard, always fighting your inner self. Very few signs understand an Aries, they look at us as (Control freaks, my way or the highway, Power and leading the world) but it seems they never take the time to get to know the inner Aries (playful, exciting, adventurer, loving, innocent) us. I think its cause whats on the outside, makes them fear us.
Some day I hope that when things are not going well, I can keep moving and not let it affect my emotions so much. I am working on it. It's really hard to tell your emotions to "grow up" when the rest of you is full grown......

I've dated a lot of earth in my day... Virgo rising... and when I say a lot i mean two and when I say day I mean recently LOL.

@emotionalaries... I completely agree about the whole misunderstood thing. People don't take the time to get to know us Aries and sometimes they think what they see is what they get. But the sooner I let go of that bs of people not understanding (and for the better) the sooner I was able to be my fully beautiful and unapologetic self.

Can only speak for myself but you might be similar, I've come to the conclusion I can't do casual. Attachment happens quickly and I can't date or relate to insensitive men. At all. There is no point and it would be a waste of time. So it's important to control sex drive and emotions to weather the wait until you meet a good partner. That's my weakness, I get a bit overheated and passionate and meet someone and then get attached hahaha. It's all that Aries fire I guess! I'm now just working on improving my emotions, soul, and body. I play sports, started lifting weights and am pampering myself (nice hair style , get manicures and pedicures, revamp wardrobe, going on exotic holiday next week). Aries is a bit of a vain sign and rejection and heartbreak can hit the self-esteem hard.

Hey we have the same Sun/Moon!
We Aries we like challenges and being winners. We are very competitive. Use that to your advantage. Look at dating as a game. The winner gets a lot in the end. What is the game you say? Well at least in dating it is he who cares the least gets to drive the train... and the more of a roller coaster you put them through the more fun they will have 😉
I'm not saying to play mind games or to lead people on. No.
I'm saying be yourself but unpredictable.

I'm bored with games and competing. And when I'm not entirely available I'm told I'm too aloof or busy or cool. I love the book by sheri argov and I'm not surprised she's an Aries but I don't think all that applies to men in the UK over the age of 25. Yeah. He seems pretty consistent with how he acts with his friends, but with me, one hour he'll be ignoring me, the next clinging to me, then griping to me about something, then ignoring me, then all over me...he is all over the place most days.

Same thing always happens to me if I'm truly disappointed for any reason.
Only thing to really shake that drain is to find a new challenge.
Not a new relationship just a new goal or cause and get after it. It doesn't completely help but at least you can focus on something positive which will stimulate our attention and use all that energy that otherwise would be used analyzing everything you've ever done while you whine to everyone else who will listen.

Yup, but there are 2 problems in this: first, I tend to get disappointed more often than any "regular" person, because I tend do expect too much from people or situations and second, the distraction part is easier said than done to me.. You describe an internal motivation for finding a new challenge and I don't seem to be able to overcome my sadness in an effective manner. By talking to others I can get externally motivated to get my mind off of the matter for a short while, but that's about it.
It gets really bad when I have to work or do college related stuff - I don't get anything done it's crazy and frustrating. I always admired men in the way how they can put personal bs aside and completely focus on work. I don't want to be the person, who can only function when she's happy, because romantic life won't be peaches and cream all the time.click to expand
