Pros and Cons of being an Aries...?

What is your favourite thing about being an Aries, and your least favourite?

What I like- Has to be my ability to get over my problems almost immediately and moving on! This is the best thing in my mind, no dwelling on things, not stressing over things that have happened in the past! I can't imagine what it's like to be constantly thinking about my problems. No thank you!

What I dislike- This is hard because I love being an Aries. I would have to say... The inability to control what I say when I'm on the defense, and how quickly I go on the defense. The nasty shit that comes out of my mouth at times, really embarrasses me, and makes me feel like a bad person.

I love the fact that I'm honest and true to facts no matter what, I have no friends, but I'd rather be alone than in the wrong.
I see my zodiac counterparts (Libras, Scorps, Sags) and they will accomodate facts to please everybody, it's just weak and hypocritical and just really ugly.

Cons: sometimes people will simply not like us just because of our strong aura. I've had people dislike me before I even opened my mouth or within hours of meeting and knowing nothing about me. They'll mistake our quiet confidence for arrogance and they'll hate when we speak up too, because we won't soften the blow for them when we finally do speak our mind.

Then again, some people will appreciate it.

I like that I'm honest (sometimes too honest) and that we are action - oriented. But I do sometimes omit because I don't see the point of wasting energy on people who wouldn't understand me or who doesn't want to know the truth.

I never liked the lack of patience that we have. Impatience have done nothing for me except kick my butt.

It's more to do with the way I say things actually, not so much what I say. I go on the defense because I feel like I'm being attacked, this only happens with certain people, and those people are usually quite nasty, but the way I deal with it is to make them feel bad before they make me feel bad. Obviously I feel terrible afterwards, but at the time? I genuinely think I want to hurt their feelings as much as I can.

PROS:
- This may sound weird, but I honestly think Aries' na??vet? can be good sometimes. I know too many people who over-analyze and overthink themselves into inaction because they believe that's what ~adults~ are supposed to do (I'm guilty of this myself.) Aries, on the other hand, just goes out and does what it wants, never having considered the possibility of failure. Obviously, this can land us in hot water at times, but it's a great trait for living a colorful life and not getting sucked in worthless, boring bullshit. 😆

- Straightforwardness! Other signs are too damn complicated for their own good. I often laugh at Scorpios, Taureans, and faux-deep Sags who think everything needs to be complicated to have meaning. Sometimes the simplest and most straightforward way is the best.

- Also--honesty, independence, intelligence (Aries' intelligence is NOT appreciated enough! We do rule the head after all), adventurousness and dynamism/being action-oriented.

CONS:
- Impatience, obviously. However, I think impatience CAN be made productive by transmuting that energy into work. When I'm impatient at how slowly things are moving, I focus my energy on what I can change instead of getting frustrated and worked up over what's not progressing quickly enough (and anything I don't have the power to change).

- Defensiveness. This is actually an embarrassing trait. Arians can take things too personally, too quickly and refuse to hear what's actually being said. I'm definitely guilty of this, and while I don't regret standing up for myself, I do regret not realizing what's an attack and what's not. Sometimes taking a moment to breathe and think can actually be good 😆.

- Getting into worthless trouble for the sake of being ~bad. I know a lot of male Aries they just do stupid shit like stealing and hanging with bad crowds because they're attracted to the danger of that lifestyle. I hate seeing Arian gifts wasted on dumb shit like that. We have the traits that lead to insane productivity and innovation; it sucks when people don't use it for something worthwhile (not necessarily "good" but worthwhile). Fucking around with gangs and lowlifes with no ambition is not worthwhile in the least.

Best: Being honest, loyal and self sufficient.

Worst: Being impatient, quick to temper, inability to ask for help due to pride.

All of the worst have either improved or are getting better with age though. 🙂

CON of being an Aries: The jealousy/envy of other Aries women who conduct themselves in a very boring fashion. Boring lives, so they look for fights out of boredom on the internet. When someone wants to seriously give them one, they get even more boring. Turns into a very boring fight, too. No wonder they look for fights for their boredom.

Pisces 😢 Sometimes I love it though. Occasionally I have problems focusing, but the Merc in Pisces helps me visualize really well as a way to problem solve. It just doesn't help me with the whole being direct thing.

I have Pisces merc also Venus and Mars.
I have no problem being direct, but that might be the Scorpio rising acting together with Aries sun, giving me the idgaf override. Lol

😆. That's interesting! I technically have Pluto in Scorpio at the very edge of my 1st house but it's so close to my second house (and Pluto rules my 2nd house) that I just interpret it as Pluto in the 2nd. I can see some shades of Pluto in the way I project myself, but my moon is much more closely conjunct my ascendant that it takes precedence. I have to really dig deep to call on Plutonian energy.

At least your Venus is exalted in Pisces! And I generally like Piscean energy. I don't think it's given enough credit for how imaginative and inner-directed it can be. All that Pisces energy + your Aries placements is a killer combo!

That sounds frustrating! Aries and Libra, ouch. Sometimes I'm actually quite good at walking away, because I know my rage is coming so I literally just walk out the room. I'm glad of this after the argument, but at the time it almost pains me to walk away. So I kinda get where you're coming from with this. 🙂

Yes! It physically pains me too, but right now it's a habit since I've done it so often, which sucks. I've definitely learned the hard way that no matter how much people rag on Aries for being short-tempered, suppressing anger is absolutely NOT the way to go. I've actually had symptoms of depression because of the way i've repressed my Aries energy. It has made me resentful of my Libra side, but I know that's not the problem. The burden is simply on me to make these two energies work.

If there's any benefit to having opposite signs in me, it's that I've seen both sides of the proverbial fence, and I can conclude that I NEED to be an Aries. That might sound crazy because I am an Aries, but I've struggled so much with, honestly, a bit of self-hate. I used to be an uber-Aries where I'd fly off the handle all the time, was super direct with people, and didn't suffer fools for a minute. And while I'm not proud of how reactive I was (that feeling is actually what led to me wanting to be "nice" and sort of changing my personality), I can't deny that I felt better about myself back then despite bouts of loneliness. I wanted people to understand me so badly but at the end of the day, I still had some pride in myself for doing what I felt was right. I felt like I had integrity.
