I was reading that people with their sun in the 8th house are very intuitive and tend to have psychic abilities. Then I read that people with mercury in the 8th house tend to be paranoid and suspicious. I have both in the 8th house. Is this why I can't tell the difference between my intuition and paranoia? I can be very intuitive at times, but I'm also extremely paranoid. Anyone have sun and mercury in 8th and have this issue?

Intuition is the ninth house. People often mistake intuition as a water element attribute, intuition is in fact a fire element attribution. Through intuition we commune with the 'Devine', however you subjectively define the 'Devine'.

Intuition literally means in late Middle English (denoting spiritual insight or immediate spiritual communication or to commune with the 'God'). All spiritual communication and practices are found in the ninth house opposite the earthly subjective and heretical communication and practices of the earthly man kind.

In Astrology the 'house of the God' is the ninth house. The Sun, the material manifestation of the 'Devine' and the planet that symbolises man kinds soul is the element of nature of which we are to receive the message that the 'Devine' wishes to convey.

However, the receptacle of that message is the opposite Moon, which also signifies corruption of which the intended message becomes corrupted and as a consequence we receive a subjective message that is no longer whole, understood or objective. Each man proceeds to decipher the intended message in his or her own subjective terms and here we find a divide amongst man kind. The schematic below is based on the "joys of the planets", from the planetary joys you will understand how the ancients viewed the world since the joys were one of the original hellenistic concepts of Astrology.

The Sun, the 'Devine' finds his joy in the ninth 'house of the God', in the ancient philosophical mysteries the Sun is the Greek diety Apollo sending his prophetic messages to the opposite third house, there the feminine priestesses the Pythia at Delphi intend to receive the prophetic words and intuit what is intended but ultimately that which becomes distorted and misconstrued due to the nature the Moons attribution of corruption. The Moon is the Omphalos stone or vessel which literally means "navel", the navel of the earth being the Mother earth of nature, the Moon.

Look to your ninth house and ruling planet and the connection to the Moon to seek the quality of your intuition. If your Moon is weak you will likely corrupt intended intuitive messages and misread others body language.

it's hard to decifer what's paranoid and what's gut feeling but I'm starting to find a balance...
Yes! I'll have days where I feel like something is just off and something bad is gonna happen, and it does. Then there's days where I have the exact same feeling, but nothing happens. People will tel me to trust my gut, but there are times when I'm wrong, and I just end up feeling stupid ?

Hmm interesting. So why do most astrologers consider water elements highly intuitive and not fire?

Not paranoid but I have problems with anxiety too.

I have Gemini Mercury in square to Virgo Moon (0º)

Mercury also square Pisces Mars (0º)

One of my ex-psychologists told me I was HSP (highly sensitive person).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensory_processing_sensitivity

I think Pisces Node square Mercury (0º) also greatly affects my nervous system. For example..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myoclonus

I hate this stuff, happens at least once a week and sometimes it creeps me out because the pulls are a bit too aggressive. I went to the neurologist years ago (I should probably go again) and luckly they didn't find anything abnormal. My brother also seems to have the same problem and he has Virgo Mercury square Gemini Node 0º and square Sagittarius Moon (5º). I've seen him sleep, he jerks and even talks nonsense during it (somniloquy). Rarely wakes up unlike me. He's quite anxious and nervous too.

Always suspected I was God and now I feel good having it confirmed.
