We hear a lot about aspects involving the ascendant and the midheaven, but what about the descendant and imum coeli? I haven't been able to find much in the way of descriptions for these. Are these angles just less important in the chart?

My understanding has always been Ascendant/Descendant comes hand in hand which is why you don't see the latter covered much seeing one is how we portray ourselves to the world the other is what we hide. So then the axis here when focused on the descendant becomes our own relationship with others which then requires a synastry chart which is probably why it isn't as widely covered.

Don't quote me on that tho lol.

Have you read some of the IC stuff from astrofix?

I did end up finding a few things on astrofix last night but they didn't seem to have what I was looking for. I'll have to keep digging. Thanks for the help. 🙂

I had to count degrees to find my own. We know that 90 degree angles create a square, 45 a semi-square, 120 a trine, 60 a sextile, and anything in conjunction with the ascendant will automatically become an opposition to the descendant because of the 180 degree difference and so on and so forth. I'm a little embarrassed about how long it took me to figure that out lol.
