I'm convinced that the year we are born in makes up our whole way of being--other than out Western signs...
I've read about ideal marriages and it's no wonder my parents were married for 41 years (up until my father's passing). My Mom's a goat and my Dad was a Pig---the perfect combo.
Read about Chinese signs--you'll come upon some vital information.
Where is the info.....? Where do we go? I think I am to be involved with an OX...I am a Rooster...now also remember...there are 4 qualities within each animal...wood, fire, metal and ....uh oh...one of the other chickens plucked out a few of my rooster hairs and I can't think...I'll go and strut awhile and hopefully the answer will appear 😉
Freebird... so far I do not have a perticular site you can learn from but until I do, i will send it your way. As for now, just type in "chinese astrology" in the search engine. You will get a plethora of sites.
chinese I was born under the sign of the monkey, there is more to this than this sign stuff. you should pick the year you were born and at least read it. interesting.
I agree with Sloane, i find the Chinese signs are more piognant. I am an earth rooster and i fit the bill almost perfectly. I am a libra (as if you couldn't tell by the login name!) but i don't think i fit the typical description. While i have some libran qualities like a sense of fair play and i love the concept of justice, i think i am more virgo or capricorn-like and the rooster is akin to the sign of virgo (i read that somewhere). Besides, oriental things are so much better than eastern.
But i was also wondering if the compatibility with tigers only extend to dogs and horses. I mean..in the western it says that fire and air signs get along, so cant i get along with dragons and rats also? since i heard dragons are aries and rats are sag's. So..yeah.
Luz---buy this book. It is called --oh sh**, I can't rememeber--it's a black book--paper back and fairly thick from Suzanne White. I think it may be called "The complete Western and Chinese astrology Guide". Or something to that effect. You will learn about yourself and others. Worth the money. It comes with a guide too to let you know who you're compatible with and not. PS...my sister is an aquarius tiger. She'll never marry, needs to be alone, is VERY independent and if you piss her off--watch out!
My mom is definetly not like a horse at all, she's VERY cautious and likes to head in a straight line. She's not a very social animal.(she's a capricorn)
wait wth. "Surprisingly, Horses tend to feel a bit inferior to their peers, a misconception that causes them to drift from group to group out of an irrational fear of being exposed as a fraud."
Hmmm, that's new to me Luz-- I haven't read that about Horses either--where did you get that source? Some astrologers are better than others so you may have been reading from a not-so-accurate astrologer... Sloane PS--I love Horse people--get along great with them and they are hard workers! Just like the animal--they are hard working people
I found another site which is a bit more descriptive.
This is for Fire Horse
People born during the Year of the Horse have a pleasant, amiable, easy going disposition which guarantees popularity and a large following of friends. Blessed with good humor and geniality, they are extremely comfortable to get along with for they have the knack of instantly putting people at their ease.
Charming and cheerful, the Horse is an extremely likable character. Hard working, self-possessed and sharp, the Horse skillfully acquires power, wealth and respect. However, the Horse's sometime-appreciated frankness can be tactless. The Horse's impatient pursuit of success may become selfish and predatory. Horses can be obstinate. In truth, they are more cunning than intelligent, and they know it. This is why, despite that air of assurance, the Horse lacks confidence in himself.
Above all, the Horse is cut out to be in politics, a career which could bring great personal satisfaction with the opportunity to grind his own axe. He could be a winner here, for he has the facility to sway the crowd.
He is very quick-witted and he is right in there with you before you have had the chance to finish what you were saying; he's on to the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it. This permits the Horse to forestall any arguments that anyone can dream up.
With the Horse, movement is everything. Freedom and independence are as essential to Horse-born people as the air they breathe. A low boredom threshold, both in terms of interests and friendships, is characteristic of those belonging to this sign, and adds a whimsical quality to the otherwise level headedness of these folk. Consequently, they tend to act on impulse, and this means there is an element of unpredictability about them.
Like the symbol by which they are represented, Horse-born people are high-spirited and lively. Their vivacity and enthusiasm make them very popular. With a deft sense of humor, Horses are masters of repartee. They love to take center stage and delight audiences everywhere. Sometimes rash and willful, they can be prone to rapid changes of mood and, although seldom really explosive of temper, when they do see red, it is not a pretty sight. Those who have suffered a Horse's rage will never feel quite the same about him again, for his fits of temper are inevitably a bit childish. If he wants to succeed, he has to master them.
Resourceful and self-confident, Horses approach all things enthusiastically. Quick-witted and mentally alert, they are quick to catch on and efficient in all their undertakings. Because of this ability, this dexterous and incisive mind of theirs, they can make accurate judgments and sound decisions instaneously. They are particularly skilled at handling money, very often in business dealings following their hunches. When it comes to intuition they have a sixth sense that is quite uncanny. Unfortunately, as the Horse is a creature of changing moods he's liable to lose interest suddenly in things he's taken up, whether it's a love affair, a single deal in business, or a whole career. He'll start again with the same determination, and he'll enjoy an equal success. He can make it in any career that demands neither solitude nor meditation, for he is an extrovert and he needs to be surrounded by people who approve of him and flatter him.
Due to their dislike of inactivity, Horses get involved in many sorts of works outside their chosen trade. Good with their hands and attracted to art, they are skillful craftsmen with a talent for innovation. --Below here is where it shows about "THE fire horse" everything up above was just general stuff-- The first and second part of the Horse's life will be full of ups and downs. He will leave his home and family while he is still young, and this will bring its own disappointments
Thanks for that Luz....I am the Horse....and what's more being born in 1966...makes me the Fire Horse..... it's probably me to a tee.....wish I was entering that third peaceful phase but I ain't yet! A x
Oh G-virgo - hook me up, pal....hook me up......although on second thoughts.....two horses together....whhoooaa there!!!
Plus got a confession G-virgo to make - only date younger studs....they got to be 10 years younger than me - get my drift:-)!!!!
I reached my peak at 30 and haven't come down since....
Alas the men reach their peak much earlier:-) - but then maybe your brother and I can exchange our peaks together:-)!!! If he's a horse, he's bound to be well - hung:-)!!!
HEY, EASY TIGER LUZ....EASY!!!! Funny thing, Luz, my guy is a fire tiger too!!! (eh, does that make you aged 29 like he is??) and we are supposed to be exceptionally compatible.....however, in western astrology terms, I am aquarius and he is virgo and we are not supposed to be compatible at all!!!! - oh my....it all gets very confusing if you are to listen to the "experts".....so just who am I to believe....those dam Chinks or those dam Westies!!!!!!....
As for you finding your horse!!!......staddle that horse, hold on to its mane for dear life - you're in for the ride of your life:-) Ax
ROFL, WELL my boyfriend is a Sag and I'm a Taurus/Gemini..according to astrology we are not suppose to be compatible? =\ but you know what, we're GREAT for eachother and us knowing this counts. And the same for you too Alana 🙂🙂(my b/f's a wood ox by the way :x moo.) damn the astrology!! screw that butter when it comes down to the real personal stuff 🙂 But i really dont get this compatiblity with elements. What do Fire get along with? Hmmmmmmmmmm
Hey alana , what if i told you that my brother is a cappy ? Would that change your mind? That's right , you told me already. You don't date men past 30 lol !!
And another thing alana.Did you say that you date guys 10 years younger than you ? Well i'm 22 .Is that too young for you ? Not to meantion, i was born in the year of the rooster.
Thanks for that info. Luz.....glad to see that we are not taking all this astrology stuff as if it's written in stone or blood!!! and that we will or won't get along (if THEY say it:-)!!!!!:-) Glad too that you and your sag. guy are so happy........sag. guys are great guys....I knew two....they were both party animals.....one was very quiet...the other was the biggest flirt on the planet but they both had great hearts and I got on so well with them....both of them have returned now to Romania but we all keep in touch....the flirter is still flirting from his cell phone in Romania:-) - god bless his little cotton socks:-) Didn't realize you were 17 year old Taurean (you young bull-ette!!)- only a young nipper!!! A babe!!!! But hey what a babe:-) Ciao for now Luz alana x
G-Virgo.......bottom line is I want your brother and I want you!!!! Why - well, before I met my present Mr. Virgo, I was with Mr. Capricorn - he was so lovely, so quietly beautiful and he was a great lover - I am always smitten by caps:-) - they just do it for me:-) OK, so he's a little older than my norm but I am willing to make exceptions in this case:-)
And I want you G-Virgo...why, coz if you are anything like my virgo guy.....you are as near as perfection on earth as I am going to get.....bet you are quite modest, charming and more than quietly beautiful:-) with a great heart....(critical and fussy too...but heck no-one is perfect)!! 22 - that's good enough for me:-) Once had a 17 year old by accident - but let's not go there!!! 22 - is just ripe for the picking:-) Seriously though, so nice to be acquainted.....so, so nice my virgo pal. Bye for now GV A x
You know.. I think Aquarius's and Capricons are naturally attracted to eachother! My bestfriends are Aquarius and Capricons. They really love eachother o.o;;
Oh GV just seen too that you are a chinese rooster.....bet you can be quite C.O.C.K.-y!! too behind closed doors:-)!!!! if you get my drift:-)!!! Enough said.....let's keep rollin, rollin, rollin!!!!
I started to poke around looking on Astrology.com about my Chinese sign. Appearently, I'm an Earth Horse. After reading the bit about the Earth, it sounds a lot like being a cap, and I can relate to some of the things mentioned. Though some of the aspects of Earth and Horse seemed to contradict each other, pretty neat stuff 🙂
I got your message Alana !! And yes i have a good heart. And no i'm not C.O.C.K.Y. at all.chickeniness is a big turn off for me.Just easygoing and caring. If only you could come across the alantic ocean to see that.I know you're from Ireland.
Hello my libra friends. I am wondering if any of you (or any other signs reading this thread) have had an identity crisis. What if you have been in the same career for years and feel fed up and sick of it? Sloane, how did you go making the transition f

I was re-watching a great french comedy called "The Visitors" and it came to me then... What women want from a man--no, it's not money or someone to care for them...
I can't speak for all women -- I know this but I can relate to one sentiment
