Leo (July 23- August 22)

I know a few female Virgo/male Caps that work. I don't think the opposite work out very well

I think it has so much to do with your chart. I'm a watery/earthy (muddy) Gem. I'm soooo very attracted to Caps and Virgos but either they're a blast to be around or very, very boring! I find myself attracted to a Taurus every now and then as well...
In the end if a man is not overly jealous, intelligent, can discuss a variety of things (has to be able to keep up with me) and make me laugh...we'll hit it off no matter what his sign is.

Most of the Aquas I know (not many though) are in relationships or married to Geminis. I rarely meet married Sags, actually. Then again, I know very few Sags.
Interestingly enough I WAS married to an Aqua! Would have worked had he not decided he wanted
to save the world instead of his marriage. Ah such is life... I read so much here about how
it's so hard to tie down an Aqua man--I've dated 4 or 5 married the last one--and they all chased
me! Smitten with me in a short time and chased me for quite a bit too... I just don't see the
mystery...

That is precisely why aquas prefer gems over libra and vice versa. Libras are made for cancers. Lol.
Taurus has great potential but I don't feel its "best" for a Cancer. Love them though.

Taurus (April 20- May 20)
Best: Scorpio. Your downfall is complacency. However, Scorpio, the sign of mystery and intensity, knows just the way to motivate you. He can lay on the passion that inspires you and also makes you feel secure.
Knows just the way to motivate? Almost the opposite, well, personally. We either gift each other with the best laughs of our lives or we drain each other. They're huge homebodies, current 4 ones in my life at least. Always with some excuses for staying in. Too lifeless to motivate this pleasure loving Taurus.
Capricorns and fellow Taureans make me wanna get stuff done and feel great about doing it. Libra males, Virgo females and Leos. A Pisces and an Aries. Cancer and Scorpio suns I know tend to make me feel mentally tired. I don't know how and why my closest friends always tend to end up Scorps, I guess opposites attract regardless. But I sure need time to recharge my batteries in company of earth or air before hanging out with them again.

Aqua's have a high divorce rate, Libra's are the sigh of partnership.
Libra's need a considerate partner. Not Aqua. I could see why it wouldn't work.
This does not make them perfect for Cancers though.

From my limited experience....
Aries and Gemini always get along great in my experience. I know several successful Aries/Gemini marriages. Also, Aries and Aquarius because they are both so independent. Aries and Taurus, I'll agree, are one of the worst matches. Especially Aries female and Taurus male. She will be way too pushy, bossy, and impulsive for him. He will be too boring, conservative, and homebound.
Sag and Taurus actually works well if the Sag is ready to settle down. Sags crave the stability and faithfulness that Taurus brings after they have travelled the world and slept with half of it, only to come home empty-handed. Scorpio and Taurus is more about animal magnetism, but there isn't really long term compatibility, especially if they meet while younger. Capricorn and Taurus is a great match if the two can ever meet. I agree that, on paper, Sag and Gemini would seem like a really fun partnership.
Scorpio/Pisces never seems to work. I've seen some Cancer/Libra relationships actually work. Libra won't allow Cancer to be as emotionally selfish and manipulative as they might get away with in other pairings. Libras are good about creating boundaries. They don't take any shit from their partners. Cancer seems to be attracted to Libra's cool way of carrying themself, and Libras do seem to be able to avoid offending Cancer's sensitive nature moreso than other signs. Ultimately though, I think Cancer has no really good matches other than another Cancer. They can both baby each other in a way no one else will. Libra/Libra is a great match; I agree there.

I vehemently disagree that Libras were made for Cancer. In fact the exact opposite is true. I find that Libra's were made for Virgos. Both seem to be loose on the morals.
Not that I can say that for all Libras or Virgos, but that's my conclusion from reading these boards.
3/4 of the people on these boards have loose morals, including quite a few cancers...we all know how you feel about libras and virgos, enough already!! lol but you are right, cancers are not at all for libras for about a million reasons.
i guess this is really supposed to work though.i ran the birth date of a cancer man i knew on the cafeastrology compatibility chart, and it basically said we'd be a perfect match, but i find him nauseating in real life. lol i just can't see it. and my cancer girl friend was dating one of the shittier libra men and it ended pretty badly. she's one of the good cancers/people too.
i disagree that we'd be good with aries people...might be good for them but not for us. libra/libra can work but personally, our men are too frustrating. Lots of water in my chart so maybe that's why.

this is all absolutely true of my friendship with a cancer woman, but it seems like it would be much more difficult with the men.

Male Cancers are not quite as manipulative as female Cancers. Firstly, the females generally don't even know how, or that, they are manipulative. They just feel things and these things seem true to them. Until life serves them enough lemons, their crybaby state of consciousness that they spend their younger years in doesn't have the impetus to reflect on the emotional state, and analyze it objectively - determining whether or not their reactions are justified, could they be projecting based on past damage, subconscious or conscious, etc.. Libras are really good in all these areas so they are a big help here, especially because Cancers tend to copycat their partners to an extent.
The male Cancers have an advantage in being reflective/objective, as they spend their adolescence already repressing and fighting against a good portion of the overpowering emotions. None of that is too healthy and you'll get an occasional DJ, but it does allow them to wield at least a *little* more control over them, and get to a more objective place where they can compromise better in relationships, at an earlier phase in life.
