Synastry is how you relate to each other, composite is how your relationship works with each of you and how it presents itself to the outside world. Synastry is taking each individual's chart and comparing them against each other. Composite takes the individuals placements and creates a completely new chart for the relationship.
That's why they say that composite doesn't mean anything if you don't have at least some kind of relationship with the other person because it isn't either of your charts, the relationship is a third distinct "person".
+1
Synastry is how two people interact/ receive each others energy. It is how you make the other person feel...
Composite is how you work as a team. It's a third entity in the equation. Eg. Whether you are a more secluded couple who stay in and avoid company(12th house heavy composite) rather than a couple that go out, or a work related friendship, power couple or not, financial status, highly sexual team etc,.. can be seen from their composite chart. Of course synastry also will have a similar theme...
But without a good synastry and transit/progressions that brings a couple together, even an amazing composite won't give you a solid relationship.

Also something stood out to me in his chart-
Natal saturn retrograde in 7th house capricorn , which is my sun sign .. Kinda worried me . Can someone interpret what that could mean ?
He also has natal uranus, neptune retrograde in 6th house cap
And natal pluto retrograde in 5th house scorp.
I have Natal pluto conjuct venus in scorp, moon in 8th house and pluto transiting 1st house til 2022.
I got out of a bad relationship in the beginning of the year . It was one of those never ending , toxic , long term on and off relationships . After the break up Ive pretty much kept to myself . Moved away and started new , plus im a single mom of 2 so its very rare for me to even get a chance to date . Anyways I met this guy about 2 months ago and within the first 15 min of meeting we totally clicked . Ever since weve been meeting for lunch almost every day and hanging out on the weekend . When we first met we were very up front and straight forward and the past week Ive felt some distance and when I asked him about it he kind of brushed it off . So naturally I had to take a peak at his chart . We recently went about a week without seeing eachother and barely spoke but when we got together it seemed as everything was normal if not better . Im just hoping im not wasting my time getting attached to someone who doesnt know what they want or is not looking for something serious . Right now im giving him the benefit of the doubt thinking hes not the best communicator - which he has said he has a hard time expressing his feelings even though he has showed me pretty much the opposite . Didnt mean to rant on haha thanks guys
