Do you let astrology affect who you date?

How goes it ladies and gentlemen? I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I never ate so much and sh!t so much in my life.. Anyways I wanted to ask some of our great contributors if you choose your relationships and friendships based on his/her sign and other placements in the chart.

I honestly dont care what sign the person is. I dont form relationships based on this astrology stuff but i know some folks take this super seriously. I think in the end being different from each other is what makes us grow and learn and makes us overall better people. Love, friendships and marriage after all are about sacrifices.

I truly believe there is a reason as to why we can feel some type of way for a person yet they have an "incompatible" sign.



So folks, be honest, do you choose your relationships based on the persons sign? cause i see some folks on here like "Oh Em Gee he has aries in the 6th house, if only it was in the 4th then i'd date him" i find it ridiculous but it is what it is.

It's a useful tool to help strengthen your relationship.
A lot of people think I'M NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THEM FUCK EM.
what does that say about you?

Relationships you often compromise so why not understand their nature not believe they do is to spite you.

I wouldn't say I'd indefinitely choose not to date certain signs/placements, but out of experience I know what types I'm more compatible with.

If someone happened to be a sign that I'm wary off I'd just bear that in mind while remaining to interact with them. Hasn't happened much so far, again because I probably don't attract these type of energies to begin with.

If it's the narrow minded aspect of it that troubles you, that's fair enough. But people will always have preferences from looks to characteristics, so why shouldn't that also present itself into astrology?

In theory my ex was far more compatible with me than my Virgo is, but that didn't work out quite as well as it should've. He was a sag moon like you, and honestly made me very wary of sag moons for a long time.

But you bastards are too charming for your own good, damnit. 😛

lol im sorry to hear that about the sag moon.. I like my sag moon but also hate it.. I like the fact that as a leo sun, the sag moon lets me be a bit more flexible and level headed. Im not as stubborn and fixed as your typical leo would be and i like that. On the other hand I sort of have no filter and im pretty sure thats due to my sag moon. I know earlier in here I thought I was a scorpio moon since I didnt have my exact birth time websites kept saying I was a scorpio moon and pisces rising but I knew it didnt add up. Im too care free in relationships to have been a scorpio moon, Im not possesive or jealous at all. I have no issue letting someone walk away.

hell yes. i will use astrology to disqualify someone. Same way id use their weight, height, education, credit score, etc.

no libra/gemini moon no matter how hard that aspect pluto or if they stay in the 8th house.


this is a hard no.

I avoid Cancerian men.

I don't. But I wonder if I should; it'd save a lot of heartache.

Absolutely !!!!

Not just romantic relationships, either. All relationships.

And I discriminate in many other manners also .... how much money the person makes, what kind of neighborhood they come from/live in, how they treat their family members, sexual orientation, how often they quit jobs, who their friends are, do they drink a lot, and many many other categories.

There are certain people I surround myself with, age is a huge factor. I won't care to associate with people under a certain emotional maturity level and certainly astrology is a big contributing factor.

If I notice you start acting like a cunt ... then I'm going to make judgment calls on you, so that I can sort out how you came to this reality, you're living.

I am new to Astrology, and I only used Cafe Astrology for myself and it's interesting. I even introduced a person to Astrology. I don't preach, but I may share a few things in someway..Sometimes I will ask when your birthday on a normal basis ie co workers especially if we get along. And we throw parties for them, but only look it up if I haven't met that sun sign before...

I don't really care what sign a person is I do ask for their birthday after a while, but for some reason mostly Sags and Caps always come looking for me.

When I see in first date negative behavior based on some signs in their charts, then I stop the communication.

Examples:
Pisces man with Virgo SN braught another man with him to our first date. (Story: we were on the same party of the same friend. she's told me he was depressive about his divorce. After the party she called and asked me if she can give him my number. he got my number and called to say he is with his friend somewhere etc.)


Leo man with Gem Mars wanted to go a second party with me and several other Girls. I did not go. The other day he texted me. I knew he was multitasking. We met once and we stopped the communication. One year later he saw me on an event, he was all smile. I was nice too. But I think he then remembered where he knew me.

The one Libra man, I don't even know what he wants. So I stand and talk with him a few words.

I use a dating website which like most if not all of them allows you to search by zodiac sign. Each time I go on it I usually start by searching on Cancer then Taurus then maybe Sagittarius as I have Sagittarius rising. I am least likely to search on Gemini, Leo and Aquarius but if I should happen to spot somebody from one of those signs that I liked the look of I would still contact them.

I don't date Capricorns. Even if I don't ask I find out fairly quickly if the guy is one of them, and am quickly reminded why I don't. Astrology doesn't rule my life but has a lot of truths to it that U just can't ignore or you'll be sorry.

Changed my mind. I'm gonna just say no to the following combo:

Sag sun
Pisces moon
Sag Venus

I meet this combo again and again. It a no go.

And how about the universe just quit sending me men with this placement:

Sag venus

It's a red flag to me now. Scorp sun, Cap sun, Sag sun, never fails.

So not even the pisces moon is enough to balance things out? but yea I can see how the sag venus gets to you but sag sun doesnt?

no scorpios they dont stimulate me mentally and the sex is not all that im confused how they get the sex sign title anyway

I'm almost too good at jumping to conclusions, so I try to hold off on finding someone's birthday for as long as I can. Curiosity killed the Mercury-ruled individual.

If they turn out to be an asshole, i'll look up their chart and go, ohhhh, that's why.

The weird thing, though, is that when I look up a chart of someone I recently met I always end up confused. I met this dude a couple months ago and I SWORE he was a taurus, but he ended up being a Sag/Scorpio moon. I don't really care too much about placements/compatibility though, a lot of the stuff is based on personal preference of aspects and not trines or sextiles.

to be honest, i can just "tell", it's kind of "psychic". although i've been in bad relationshps in the past, it's just meant to be. to grow from it. But i'm glad i'm taken, still knowing about astrology just more or less CONFIRMS. it's the energies in the chart that i can just tell by looking at someone, or listening to their music, or watching them act in a film. I can tell usually "energy".

for example, two Cancer Sun males, with Gemini Venus.

you'd think they would have similar energies, but NO. they don't.

both are SINGERS/both are in the music industry too.

Yes. No air signs for me. Especially Aquarius and Gemini. I don't care what's in your charts, nothing can change that fact that you are of a certain sun, and thus, by default, are more inclinde to have said qualities. 😉

No. I have biases against certain placements, but I would never not date anyone because of their chart. I tend to separate the person from their chart, since I view astrology as something fun and not to be taken completely seriously. If anything, I'm always super excited to look up a person's chart and then look at their placements in a positive light. I never think 'Ohhh...that person has a cancer sun...I don't think it's a good idea to give them a try'. That person has to show me that I should be worried for me to think stuff like that.

Because we're annoying. We're sensitive, emotional, needy, clingy, childish when we don't get our way, and most people just can't handle that amount of awesomeness.
