Mayflies.

They hatch from rivers and streams and live only one day. Just long enough to mate. Then die.

In fact, the genus for most mayflies is Ephemera.

This is even more depressing than studying for my exam tomorrow.

That's my favorite word. No lie, my friends get so tired of me incorporating it Into out convos! I love it idk why.

I purchased a cropped sweat top fro Zara with this word on it. Before then I had never heard of it.
