It's no coincidence that they look like scales, the kidneys are a very sensitive organ that deals with social contact. We meet people and socialise, so we drink, when we connect with someone, we evacuate liquid (urine), so the kidneys require balance, harmony with others in order to be healthy.
Libras traditionally depend on others to function, they need others to feel good, they need to feel wanted and to be pleasant.
Take the opposite body part /sign, the head/ Aries. The idea there is to "ram into", metaphorically and physically. Taurus, the neck, made for ingesting, taking pleasure in life, also the feeling of self-worth.
Gemini the hands-agility. Lungs -energy.

The archetypes are super obvious and work in every sense. Why are Aries represented by the ram and why do they pioneer, and tend to injure their heads a lot? Why do Taurus tend to have large necks and traps like the bull? Why are Geminis so quick and agile mentally and physically? Hepatitis, and liver inflamation in general, is a very piscean thing. It comes from excess of all sorts, spicy foods, alcohol, drugs, sex...all the "sins" that Pisces like to secretly indulge in. Hence the glimmer in their eye.
