i read that in Japanese culture this meant that a spirit was holding u down looking at u.
talk about scary...
I've experienced this 2 or 3 times. Mine differs in that I couldn't wake up right when I wanted to. I always went to sleep afterward because I was exhausted from the experience. It is quite scary.

that is the same for me when i wanted to wake up i couldn't as well
LV, I forgot to mention that I felt like I couldn't breathe; almost like I was being smothered. Did you feel the same?
@Ovi_Spring,
Is masturbation the only sexual act that brings about this experience? If so, why?
Thanks Ovi.
One more question -
Every blue moon I will have a dream and in the dream there is this man - he is quite stunning and I've never laid eyes on anyone who could look so perfect IRL. He makes love to me and I always climax. The strange part is that I climax for real not just in the dream. Now, I know boys/men have wet dreams but I have never known women to experience this. So, am I simply having a wet dream, unbeknownst to me, or is this something on another level—?
Oh, I almost forgot - I hardly think about sex before I go to sleep and therefore not aroused. So, I don't know why I would be having a sexual dream—

LV, you know what my Granny (God bless the dead) once told me to do after I shared my dream with her? She told me to put a cup of pure water by my beside. I never did it and dismissed what she told me as an old wives tale. Besides, I have the dream so infrequently that I'd have a cup of water by my bed year round - I'm too much of a neat freak for that :-)

I like your way of thinking!
Ovi- It is all TOO real for my comfort. I feel - moisture, skin, heat, penetration, shallow breath, quickened heart rate, and my hips keeping the rhythm. I don't like being weirded out behind a dream, you know?
I thank God that no one was in bed with me after having such a dream; they would've taken me straight to the looney bin after seeing me dry humping the bed - Oh, boy.
2-3 years ago I had once a similar nightmare, where I've felt unable to move, only my hands could I put in front of me as defence. I dreamt that I've been sleeping in my bed and when I woke up (in my dream) a ghost was looking down at me, and I wanted to push it away. I woke up from the dream screaming, and my hand was held out in front of me...
It was frightening... very frightening...
Since this dream I often dream of ghosts trying to get into my flat, but not through the wall, but trying to open the door. The more and more I've dreamt that, the ghost became more and more realistic, and in the last few dream they were real persons.
Does anyone have any idea what this could mean?
Perhaps I don't want definite persons to step into my life, or into my flat?
Thank you Jane_Dragon!
I've read some articles about it, and... well... you could be right!
I was/am quiet stressed out during the last few years, and I never had such dreams before these tiring years.
