Sun in the 8th house - Anyone?

What would be the main traits, pros and cons of this placement?

8th House Sun here.. But my Moon and Asc are in Scorp, so it sort of amplifies my 8th House Sun energy. Hard to exactly pinpoint what the 8th House Sun is doing on it's own due to the other influences.. But, main traits of Sun in the 8th are:

- Private and secretive person (you like to keep your personal business personal)

- Strong interest in the mysterious, metaphysical and taboo.

- Heavy theme of death, either overthinking "what happens next" or losing important people in your life to death at an early age.

- Endowed the gift of intuition, deep dreams, and depth of empathy for the suffering of others.

- Always seeking to better understand ones self.

- Tend to be the rock for others, the one your friends seek consolation in and look to for strength. However you won't share much of yourself personally. You're a listener and an advice giver.

- Constant struggles with trust issues.

- You're a natural healer and enjoy helping others less fortunate. However you will tend to attract those that those that are weak or suffering. Often you attract others into your life that are draining and these individuals can easily suck the life force from you.

- You will naturally absorb the energy you are surrounded with, that can be good and bad. It can cause you a great deal of mental, psychological and physical stress if you are around too much negative energy.

- You'll have a strong presence.

This sounds like me except I have Sun in 9th (but close to 8th). However, I've got a stellium in 8th (Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) in Capricorn.

I also have an 8th House stellium + Moon, Asc & Pluto in Scorp. That always makes it difficult for me to pinpoint the influences on their own, I feel they sort of just amplify one another.

I relate more to the Capricorn of me, but it is sort of wild that I have so much Scorpio energy. Pretty much unequivocally the two heaviest and "darkest" signs I have coarsing through my veins lol. Over the years I've found myself to be fairly polarizing and tough to deal with. Sometimes I wish I was lighter sign and placement wise, because I think and feel with so much substance it scares people often.

And add control freak also. But that may be more of an 8th house stellium thing right now. I'm going through the toughest situation of my life that is out of my control and it is bugging me out, which is against my Capricorn nature.

I have Uranus, Neptune and North Node in the 8th house plus Moon in Scorpio.

I can relate to all those traits but I've been learning that I can't rely on my intuition.

But I'm really sensible to the environment.

I have 8th house sun too. I relate to all your bullet points except the first one and sort of the 8th one (I don’t attract emotionally draining people). Lol at your third bullet point about death; I remember when I was 8 or 9 years old I made my mom cry because I asked what happens after we die. #NeverAgain

I can heavily relate. Scorpio & Capricorn are my 2 dominant signs as well. The Gemini Sun, Merc & Jupiter helps out a lot though.. Allows me to bounce back from dark or hard times easier than others. I am sorry that you are going through such a tough situation right now, but with those two energies driving you, I have faith that you will find your way through this. We are tough! 😄

Thanks! I know I will too, but it doesn't make it any less stressful. The softest signs I have in my chart are a Cancer Jupiter (retrograded tho) and a Sag Mars, which is still fiery.

Ahh, Scorp Moon like me! I have Sun, Venus, Jupiter & Chiron in the 8th plus my Moon, Asc & Pluto in Scorp, so I understand where you are coming from.. It's a lot of the same influence.

You don't feel like you can rely on your intuition? Has it led you astray too many times? Or are you more like me where you struggle so greatly with trust, suspicion and paranoia issues that you don't know if your intuition is real or if you're just being paranoid? I often deal with that, so I understand. However, in hindsight, my intuition has always been right, and if I had just paid attention to it from the beginning instead of pushing through things thinking that I could conquer them, I wouldn't have had such a hard time trying to decipher what was paranoia and what was my intuition.. I ignore it for too long sometimes and that's when it starts to get confusing.

Wow, we have a lot in common. I've tested my paranoia/intuition a few times and I've learnt how it Works for me. I guess yours is accurate because you have Pluto/ASC so you're the personification of Pluto.

My Pluto is in the 6th house, what shows a need to work on my Plutonian " abilities ".

I have Saturn in the 9th house, so I spend a lot of time studying how the universe Works, at least for me.

My intuition is Always forcing me to do something that will benefit me in the long run. I've Always had a bad feeling towards an ex-gf and I tried to " caught her " so many times and 80% of the time I was wrong but them, I've looked back and saw that my intuition wasn't telling me " She is lying to you, she is a liar " , It was telling me something like " This feeling is showing that you don't trust her. Why are you with her if you don't trust her?! Work on yourself ".

From that point, I've changed my mindset, read a few books on the subject, went to a psychologist and guess what?! My intuition is slowly fading away.

Signs just show " How " and not exactly what happens...

Scorpio is about desire/intensity - So a little doubt about something can turn into paranoia or relying on your past experiences can be seem as " magical intuition ".

Today, I can say to you that at least for me, it's better to check the facts than trusting my guts.
