Are Aqua Mercenaries Underestimated in Communication Skills?
Aqua Mercenaries are often skilled communicators with strong reasoning abilities, but they may be less discussed due to their reserved nature. Their communication strengths include clarity and understanding, making them effective in conversations despite being less prominent in discussions. Their reputation for good communication is often overlooked because of their subtle approach.

It's arguably the best merc to have so I don't see it being underrated. I find to be concise with brevity while still encompassing simultaneous meanings.

Well, it's not underrated by me...and apparently not by you either, but I hardly ever read about them being noticed in this respect elsewhere.
Gemini and virgo, both being ruled by mercury, might have something to say about aqua being number one, but I would personally put them next to virgo, tbh.

I agree with the first house. I also think the sun and to some extent venus could be responsible. Merc or venus retro may "make" a person shy and sometimes some Saturn aspects, methinks.
Was thinking: the self critical aqua mercs, could it be that many of them are cap suns? I'm a cap sun and I thought my communicating skills were awful when I was young. I'm still very self critical, but when I was younger, it was to a degree that I sometimes wouldn't speak at all if I wasn't 100% sure the sentence I was going to use was grammatically correct and the intonation, and the...you get the point.

Mercury in itself, as I understand it, doesn't handle what a person wants to say unless it's about logical arguments and such. If you feel they are not willing to talk to you about their innermost feelings or facts that are very personal to them, that may be a moon thing or maybe a sun thing, for instance.🙂

Not that I've heard many people say aqua mercs are difficult to communicate with, but I rarely hear them mentioned at all when there's a discussion about good/bad communicators.
I have never met an aqua merc I couldn't communicate with well and I have barely any aqua in my chart. I find (the ones I've met) their reasoning skills to be very good and they are also really good at communicating whatever it is they want to communicate.
What did I miss? I'm a cap merc, btw.

I like Aqua Merc. I'm generally found of Aqua placements, though some Aqua Moons I can't stand. One of my Cap friends since first year undergrad, had this placement. Very understanding and I think sometimes, he softens his approach. He did sometimes take a second to speak his mind, which is not something unusual for a Taurus Mercury lol. He also disappeared without a word though lol, but that's probably more Cap Sun. 😛 I'd agree that they have good reasoning skills.
And pre - @AfternoonDelights22 , I would have also said I have never known an aqua merc I couldn't communicate with well. 😛 Or maybe they just kept it quiet lol, in which case this does more credit to Nights than anything else. 🤔

My ex had cap Merc. When we wanted we communicate quite well and it was always calm and constructive.
Overall tho she was very hard to reach and we didn't have the best communication. Too earthy.

I'm not a fan in most cases. I have a close friend with this merc and he is the only one I've come across that I can tolerate.
