So, I've bounced around through our college changing my major from psychology to art in desperation of finding my desired career. Every time I feel that I have a passion for something it slowly dissipates until I'm uninterested.

A lot of my career ethic reflects my Mercury square Jupiter aspect and my hardest aspect is my moon square Jupiter. I relate to both of those very much. My MH is in Sagittarius so is that why I'm so influenced by Jupiter?

I'm really interested in getting into advertising. I actually considered that long ago but abandoned the idea until now. Would that be a good choice based upon my placements?

lol...."changing my major from psychology to art"

Do you want to be a waitress forever?
Lmao I initially wanted to be an art therapist so it made sense. My university doesn't offer advertising so I'd have to major/minor in art/marketing to get the skill sets needed. The plan never was to be crafty but to rather learn the basics in creative expression (color wheel, concept, balance, etc).

Idk...seems psych is easy money. Lotsa people with issues and noone to talk to willing to pay to lie in some couch spreading their guts to some stranger.

I get you with advertising though, i found that appealing as well.

Psych is competitive as hell and the only way you make money is if you get a masters or Ph.D.

You need to base your degree on job demand. Interest plays a large role, but you need to be realistic.

Writing/art was my thing before I went to college, and getting a degree in one of those would have been fun. However, it's not realistic, nor is it stable for a career. I steered myself toward healthcare since it's more stable and has a demand.

Psych is overdone and everyone and their dog gets into that anymore, it seems. You gotta get a PhD to even practice and can only do basic counseling with a bachelors or masters, if I remember right.

I was originally majoring in athletic training. Loved it, still do, but the job market for it is total shit and the politics involved is bullshit. I swapped concentrations and have to focus on getting a masters as opposed to just stopping at a bachelors like I would have with AT.

Let's be real here, a good choice would be something that you can actually use and get a stable job from. Not something chosen based on your sign.

This is the one perk of taking all the stupid general ed classes in college- you can dabble a bit in various subjects and see what you like. I contemplated psych at one point too, but after taking an intro to psych class, I said fuck it. I hated that damned subject haha. When I took nutrition, I freaking loved the subject and have been constantly considering maybe doing that for my post grad. The only kicker is that damned year long internship. Blegh. ...and ochem. Omg the thought of ochem terrifies me. 😢

Also, if your school doesn't offer what you're interested in, transfer to one that does. You shouldn't be limiting your degree to the limited selection your school has, tbh.
