So my Cancer has been going through some real tough times. I thought with this month being crabbie month things might get better for him and they were for a bit. When I came to visit things were amazing and they stayed that way for awhile even after I left (we're in an LDR). But recently he lost his second job because of this stupid bitch complaining about him. Not to get into too much personal detail (you never know with the internet now a days)... things have been real shitty for him, losing both jobs, totalled his car, and worst of all his fathers failing health. I don't want to make his life worst by telling him how shitty it is, he knows. I just want to be there and be a strong support system for him. So my reason for posting this is any cancers with similar experiences? This is definitely more for me to make me feel better, to hear "Oh I went through the same thing as a cancer and now things are a lot better." Also any words on just what you think would help in terms of being there for him. I know its definitely something I can do on my own I just want to see if there is anything that might be missing from my end. Any words of encouragement and help would be much appreciated.

Well, I can identify with the father's failing health. That's big. I won't post publicly here, but being there for him would be big.
Totaling the car? Don't go there. Its a "thing", and unless he is a shallow individual, he'll handle it.
The jobs thing....be a lending ear. Crabs are tough when it comes to career and money, but they do like to bitch about what is going on. When they talk about that subject, in a sense their minds are working things out.
You can PM me about the father thing if you want.

What I learned from my experience since I always try to somehow cheer my lover up by encouraging him and saying things like "don't worry, it will all fall into place, just hold on", these things don't really work so I just let him talk, let him vent and try to be there for him as in being a positive influence and don't ask something from him ( as in ask for more attention on you, etc since I'm sure he will retreat to his shell)

I am a Cancer and when cancer season comes , mostly in early july, I tend to be sad and lose my sense of humor and fun. I become very serious and at times I feel my energy has weekend. This phase usually goes away by August. In regards to what you are saying about his occurances this month and being a Cancer I would advise the best way to be there for him is to give him some space but show that you are still there no matter what. so dont bother him for attention but give him some when he needs it. Soon when he gets over his problems he will appreciate your devotion
