Celebrity Apprentice: Cancer vs. Aries?

Don't know what the hell happened with the previous thread. Shit started to post before I could finish (maybe it's all the wine I had last night)!

Anyhoo, anyone watching this season's CA? First episode aired this past Sunday, March 6, and it was hella good (the drama that is).

Made an astrological(?) observation and wanted your thoughts on Aries/Cancer work relationships.

Well, the first is Star Jones (Aries) and Lisa Rinna (Cancer) who have seemingly already started to butt heads. However, I noticed that Lisa seems to be a bit jealous of star and was acting extremely two-faced and bitchy (i.e. telling Star to her face that her flyers looked great and then saying the complete oppposite to the camera in the confessional booth and trying to throw Star under the bus in the boardroom, etc).

Next is Richard Hatch (who is an Aries and the first winner of "Survivor", and a fk'n creep) and Jose Canseco (Cancer and former baseball player) who are also already locking horns. Jose has taken issue with Richard for bullying childhood actor and hearthrob David Cassidy (who also happens to be an Aries) and I can't say that I blame him. However, I can't help feeling like the Cancers are somewhat intimidated by the brash, direct, assertive/agressive, personalities of the Aries and are basically looking for anyway to take them down.

I know that Aries and Cancers are both cardinal signs and I always wanted to witness firsthand what a working relationship with the two would be like and now I think I'm getting a sweet and slow build-up of what it would be like if a hurricane and a volcano came face to face. The tension between the two is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

So tell me Cancer folk, am I off in my observation or do Cancer/Aries relationships generally tend to be stormy especially if the two don't like/can't stand eachother? Do you find that the two of you tend to push against eachother? What has been your experience(s) in reference to working relationships with Aries?

Also, please keep your rude comments to yourself. If you can't handle a conversation about the dynamic of two signs (whether you are an Aries or Cancer or neither) then stay out. These are just my observations and it looks to me like Aries and Cancers tend to rub eachother the wrong way.

Thanks Cancerguy. I know there are many Aries and Cancers that get along but it seems like when they don't, it can be an explosion of epic proportions.

I'm a Cancer sun and Aries moon, and within myself I always have a pulling back at forth. The need to be adventurous and then the need to be at home ALL at the same time lol. One of my best friends is an Aries and we are actually a lot alike, very independent and logical people. I do think at times there could be conflict, but her and I both know when to let something go if we are arguing. The biggest conflict I can see between Aries and Cancer is that Aries aren't known for their attention to detail and pampering other people (at least none of the Aries I've ever known). Emotionally I think there could be issues between the two just because they deal with things differently.

PurpleDiamond I totally get what you're saying. Sometimes I can be emotional at work, especially when it's not personal and it's just business. It's taken me years of practice to let go of the emotion and just deal with the situation in front of me. I think all Cancers can stand to learn a thing or two from Aries, and vice versa 🙂

So you've got the best of both worlds I see. LOL. Cancer Sun/Aries moon eh? Why you must be an interesting one. It's nice that you and your girlfriend know when to pull back when things start to get heated. No, Aries aren't generally known for their attention to detail and I can see how this would piss a Cancer off especially since Aries are often thinking of themselves and Cancer's tend to be so considerate of others.

I'm a Aries and I have a Cancer gal as a associate. I would have made her a "friend" however I do find some things you posted to be true in how we relate to each other which is why she will not be promoted to "friend" status. I think my Cancer gal is a bit envious of how strong I am mentally and my no none sense approach to everything. I don't allow emotions to cloud my judgement and that is where we tend to butt heads because she's so emotional about everything. I have to watch what I say and how I say things to her because she's going to take it so personally instead of just taking the logic behind the message for what it is. I don't sugar coat, I just tell it like it is however its never with the intent to hurt someone's feelings but I'm going to be honest period. I'm not the type to tell you what you want to hear or babysit your ego. I would never be able to work with a Cancer so even though I don't watch that show, I'm pretty sure there's no doubt drama between them.

Your experience with your Cancer associate is exactly what I am seeing being played out on CA. The Cancers are acting as if the Aries are intentionally trying to offend meanwhile the Aries are doing/saying what they want without any regard for anyone else. LOL. Perhaps everyone can benefit from knowing a little about astrology. Ever since I got into it, I understand much better how/why my personality fits with some better than others. Who says it's all hogwash?

This is the first season of Celebrity Apprentice (or any Apprentice, actually) I'm watching, only because the cast is hilariously eclectic and the previews look great.

It looks like there's another cardinal battle coming up between Gary Busey (Cancer) and Meatloaf (Libra). The previews show Gary just standing there while Meatloaf screams his ass off at him, but then there's also a clip of Meatloaf crying and saying, "I'm so sorrry!" (presumably to Gary). People need to cut Gary a lot of slack. He has brain damage from a motorcycle accident, hello? But he's still hilarious and more clever than most of those tools, and seems to have a big heart.

Girl please do! Trust, you will not regret it. Every Sunday night on NBC from 9-11pm. It's so damn good that when it's over it doesn't even seem like two hours have passed.

Hahaha, I agree on all counts! I had no idea Richard was an Aries (or gay) when I watched him in the first episode, but I couldn't stop thinking, "WOW, what a diiiiiiiick" throughout the episode. It doesn't surprise me that he's a crook!

I also didn't know Nene was a Sag. I kept trying to find out what her sign was, too! Hahaha. I also can't wait to see the episode where she tells Star that she will "take her down"! LOL

BTW, according to astrotheme, Trump has Moon in Sagittarius and Leo rising.

Yes, Nene is a Sag and I wasn't surprised at all. I love it when in the opening interviews Star said "now who do you think can argue against me?" That's a baaaaaaaad bitch right there. Unless she absolutely does something to be brought up on charges in the boardroom, folks should think twice before they F with her. So far the models Hope (Scorp), and Nikki (Virgo), have been pretty quiet. I knew Nikki had to be a Virgo the way she perfected that Pizza (LOL), and Hope just looks like she got some shit brewing underneath (classic Scorp!).

I think John Rich (Cap) and Star might just be the last two standing. They seem to have the most business saavy of all the rest and Latoya didn't impress me in the least. *rolls eyes*

Oh I knew 'The Donald' had to have a fire moon. He needs his ass kicked. 😉

I'm gonna start a thread in the Television section so that we can discuss the episodes weekly. If you'd like to swing by and comment, feel free.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to piss Star off. She just has this "I'm 5 seconds away from snapping" aura about her. That's probably why Lisa Rinna said she liked the flyers to her face even though she hated them, hahaha.

I understand PurrHiss. I guess for me it's that the gays I have been able to easily pinpoint had more of an effeminate vibe but I just don't get 'effeminate' from Richard, and most importantly, I KNOW THAT NOT EVERY GAY IS GOING TO COME OFF THIS WAY. I guess it's just what I've been used to.

As for Star, I think she snaps in a professional way (if that makes any sense). She strikes me as the type of executive that would pull her subordinate to the side and say "hey, is there a problem?", "Is everything alright?", versus chewing them out or disrespecting them publicly in front of a bunch of people (like Richard did to David..FK'N LOSER). She actually did this with Lisa right from the beginning and said to her privately "hey if there's something you need to say, just tell me straight up" (paraphrasing of course). This is why I couldn't understand why Lisa was acting so two-faced. However, at the end of the day, it is still a contest and the goal is to be the last one standing so many players take a passive-aggressive role with their PMs so that they can throw them under the bus in the boardroom later on in hopes of getting rid of them (especially the ones with the stronger personalities like Star).

Latoya is a FK'N hoot! That moment was classic! I was like "Authors girl, not Artists!" Shiiiiiiiiit, she needs her brain back A.S.A.P.! LOL.
