How much do cancers hate secrets?

So we've been dating for over 2 months now. We've pretty much moved in together, like we always spend the night together (and most of the day) just at each others houses, and we bought a lizard together 😛

Anyways, everything is really really good. We don't get sick of each other, we sort of just do our own thing together (college students). No one has said "I love you" (that's gonna be his job).

The only thing is sometimes I hide things from him. Just on my computer. I really love to write and I'm working on a book right now, but I'm super self-conscious about it, and I only let him read parts that I've edited a billion times. Also, I'm keeping a journal of our "moments" on my PC I want to give him in a few months/years if we're still together. I can tell it irks him a lot when I refuse to show him what I'm writing. He says I shouldn't be embarrassed around him. But I am.

Is this something that will eat away at him? Sometimes when he is texting our mutual friends he won't tell me why just to try and bug me back and "show me how it feels". He does it jokingly and I know their not talking about anything special (sense we only all hang out together anyways), so it doesn't really bother me that much.

I'm just worried that me being secretive hurts him.

i think you're ok. if i were in a similar situation, i would only care about a secret that is more substantive to the relationship. the rest would be teasing for the fun of it. he would probably feel honored if you shared it but i dont think it is something that would eat away at him.

lol I hide that too. But I do this more to... release certain emotions and things about me, because I don't want to tell him EVERYTHING yet, you know?

My Cancer is like that too. He wants to know everything. My solution: I don't even bother to let him know when I am keeping something to myself because when I used to he would think it was something it wasn't and let his imagination go wild. Sometimes even though I'm sure he believed it was what I told him I guess he still didn't want to feel that I could have any type of secret from him but It's in my nature to keep some things private especially in your scenario Bri. I like showing the finished product but not the mess leading up to it.

ADVICE: Dont EVER Lie or hide shiiiiiiiiit from us, We WILL Find out. Than we will feel betrayed. The worst thing you can do to us is lie, we always find out and we always know. And we hate when people keep secrets, we are a secretive nature ourself, but how do u expect us to share ours when you are not sharing yours??

Hmmm, I don't know that I feel that way. My husband and I are both Cancers and I think we both keep a fair amount of things to ourselves. If it was something detrimental to our relationship, then yes I'd hate it if he kept a secret from me, but as far as just our personal thoughts and feelings I think it's perfectly healthy to keep some things to yourself. I don't expect him to tell me every inner thought or action, and vice versa. Maybe it's because we're both Cancer and we just understand that we each need our own personal space and thoughts. Not sharing doesn't mean we don't love each other, but I think it means we trust each other completely and respect each other enough not to play guilt trips or make each other feel like we're being stalked lol.
