Looking for honest advice on Cancer Guy

I've been reading this forum for sometime and have really enjoyed some of the answers here. So I'm hoping that i can get help with a Cancer guy i just started dating.
He has Cancer sun, rising, mercury and mars, virgo moon and venus.

We met online, he was very quick to ask to meet for coffee. We started talking on the monday met on friday. Our coffee date was three hours long. I never laughed so hard with anyone. Before we were done we had our own inside jokes. He drove me home, even the car ride was natural and like we've always have done this. When we got to my place he got out of the car, gave me an amazing hug and kissed me. Perfect end. Half hour later he texts me telling me he enjoyed our time together and was worth being late for work for. (which i had no clue until he told me) we texted a the rest of day into the evening. The next day was my bday, he was the first to text me and wish me a happy one. I went out that night, he we texted most of the night with each other.

Since then we made arrangements to see each other, he had to cancel once for work, the other because he was sick. He seems to have started opening up more to me, tells me his plans for the weekend, opened up about a health issue, started asking me about my migraines, their triggers and what was causing me stress etc.... Aside from a few days we texted almost daily. Of course he's predictable in his unpredictability lol I can see he read my message but will take hours to reply, or I see hes logged on but didn't open my message till hours later. Sometimes he replies quickly etc.... he's taken a pic of something that reminded him of me and sent it. So we were supposed to again get together this past sunday and a family member needed him and he canceled. Saying that he owes me big, to please not give up on him, that he knows he must sound like a broken record by now and to please give him the chance to make it up to him. i joked about the rain checks he owes me and i said yes i'll give you a chance to make it up to me. what do you have in mind. He said to tell him what it will take to make it up to me, he owes me BIG. So I said something on a saturday night, lets do something traditional like dinner and a movie. And if he's lucky I'll let him pretend to yawn and put his arm around me and maybe even let him hold my hand. I said big would be doing something this weekend coming. and that is too big than at least a coffee this week and dinner/movies next sat. he replied that is sounded great definitely coffee this week and dinner/movies sounds great. I told him i need to know in advance so i can get a sitter for my kiddo. didn't reply to that. we text a bit, again my text was last, (he most likely fell asleep he works very early) I saw that he was on message platform when he woke up but didn't bother reading my message.

So is he into me,? Stringing me along or what? your advice would be appreciated. thank you

Your first date reminded me of me and my Leo partner although we got down to business the first night „. That was a first for me lol.
I don't know much about different moons and shit but there is unfortunately definitely something he is putting off. It'd be nice to have an update to the situation if he has messaged back.
I for one couldn't give a shit what was wrong if I was ill or a family matter I'd still make time to see the other half.
Just a question though, did he know about your child beforehand because if not he could be too scared to take on that child. Don't worry though, happens a lot.

A male friend of mine said that when a man says "please don't give up on me" it means he has other women around and you're on of his back up girls.
I'm just trying to figure out if this is a cancer thing or or player thing. I can see it being both very clearly and that's why i'm confused. lol

He sounds a little like when I started seeing the gal I'm with now.

I'd keep at it at this point.

And no, contrary to what your guy friend said, I didn't have other women in the picture.

Lol...poor thing. I read that title and my first thought was "well, you aren't going to get that here"

What you will get are a bunch of bitter women going on about anger and denial and grasping on to any bit of hope that they will survive the Cancer trial...

Oh boy lol

i just want to know if it's a cancer thing or a player thing lol i can see it being both so i'm stumped. Also, i'm a little put off about not setting a date to go out, so it makes me wonder if he actually intends on following through. I'm just trying to get some perspective.

Thank you, we did meet on a dating site and i know he's still on there, i mean i'm a realist i know we're not "there" yet. I don't know if he's dating others, or just chatting or just bored and it being a habitual thing he does. Apparently this is a new type of addiction i hear lol

I don't know if the cancelations are legit, i'd like to think so. He even made a joke saying he could lie and tell me it's all part of his plan to tease me lol I told him all that would do is make me believe he's not interested. he said haha good point. I would have thought that if he really wanted to make it up to me like he said he would have secured a date with me. not doing so makes me feel like hes stringing me along.

my first thought was that he was being vulnerable and showing me he likes me, but then again we met on a dating site, i know he's still on there. We're not exclusive, and even though he's had the opportunity to set up a date with me, he still side steps it. so it's hard for me to know what he's about.
