Cancer and Taurus... do you think our relationship with each other is overrated?

never been with a taurus woman romantically but my oldest daughter is a taurus. we seem to clash all the time and i thought i would have more problems with my youngest daughter who is a gemini.

It was not a personal question... I am curious about other people's perspective of Cancer and Taurus relationships. It doesn't have to be a romantic relationship, it can be a friendship.

Cansir... Cancer and Taurus do seem to clash alot. Although we have a very strong connection and have alot in common; I wonder... does the likeness cause frustration? I noticed that some relationships with Cancer and Taurus are so intense that it's either really good or really bad. But neither of them seems to be able to let go of the other.

UnusualC... I assume that you were never attracted to any. Is it that they turn you off some how? Or you just never gave them a second look?

My take on it is maybe we both get scared of the possibilities....I say this because I notice for me, I find that I am usually attracted to guys that astrologically speaking I am incompatible with.....I guess it is the opposites attract theory?

I dated an Aqua for 5 years and although we loved each other, we were very different.....Not differences that couldn't be overcome of course, because we were together....

Now comes along a Taurus, who I've never had any type of interaction and feel this chemistry/connection like never before?I felt understood without saying much and then the interest although not all, but a lot were the same

I think because people are so used to settling in relationships, it may come as a shock to them when they meet someone who could potentially give them what they are looking for in a mate.

Maybe we clash because that may be what was the norm based on past relationships, so when we see tranquility in the new one we wanna run from it because it is seems foreign to us..Or look for excuses not to get involved to begin with.. Almost like its too good to be true, so we gotta shake things up a bit?Or too much of a good thing is not really that good...

Do you think that the match is overrated though?

Personally I think that the Cancer and Taurus combo is one of the best matches. Each possess all the right qualities to keep one another happy and alot of unlookers can sense this intense connection. However, after speaking to alot of people with both signs I found that alot of Cancers are in search of a Taurus and Taurus in search of a Cancer, both thinking that this is their only and best match. Yes they are aware that there are others compatible, but with all the rant about the Taurus and Cancer relationship... they often fall curious and want a taste of the pie too.

But are we really? I just want to know... Cancer when you are with your Taurus do you feel like there is no other... Taurus when you are with your Cancer do you feel like there is no other? Or is it just the hype making us so attracted to eachother?

Put two and two together with what? It was a general question... I asked nothing about my own relationship. I specifically asked if the Cancer and Taurus relationships are overrated. Am I the only Taurus and my guy the only Cancer?

Communication is key with us... if it is not there... there will be many clashes.

However, sometimes Taurus bluntness can be too harsh for Cancer, while Cancer's beat around the bush attitude can annoy Taurus... hence the importance of constant communication.

Understood but that's not the point.

I'm not concluding all Taurus women are compulsive liars. This could've been any sign really.

It's just this particular one was and ironically I opened my heart fully. I got burned.

From an astrological standpoint she never liked to be teased. Always wanted open communication even though her side was always ridden with "half truths". Very sensual. Very stubborn. Simple dresser but not shabby. Your typical Taurus.

Friends thought we were polar opposites but that in a weird way we balanced each other out. One's weakness was another's strength. I think from a spiritual standpoint we were compatible. From a real world standpoint I'm not so sure. I never got to see the truth. That's what hurts the most.

Well that's her fault not yours, it's unfortunate because you seem like you had such a great connection, but you'll find another 🙂 You win some... you lose some and not every misfortune is a disappointment.

Its the loyalty factor with us. It is so strong from both sides (friendship or relationship), that makes us so understanding of each others' faults. I have never been in a relationship with a female taurus but they have this magnetic aura about them that pulls me in (I don't know how other cancers feel about this). I think the likenesses (in faults) are what cause the disruption. What you don't like about others is usually because you have the same fault, and don't recognize that about yourself (especially when you're criticizing someone else for it). I am usually best friends with Tauruses though, my best friend has 2 taurus kids and I 2 scorpios LOL. They either play really well together, or they're at each others' throats. Either way, they're kids, so they get over any difficulties in their friendships fairly easily. I get along with his kids better than most kids. As for the grown-ups, we usually tend to have similar views, appreciate the same things (aesthetically), value relationships the same way... I'm starting to think that when we fight/argue/disagree, its because we're the first earth/water signs (in other words leaders... we all know what happens with too many leaders).
