I've just realized I'm doing the crab walk a lot lately. Like almost as if it's my New Years resolution. I'm just so tired of guys trying to control me and the relationship by trying to pressure me more or less to move faster than I want to. In the past, I've gone along with it just to keep them happy, but not anymore.

I know this dance all too well because I'm an expert at it unfortunately 😄 If I feel a man in hot pursuit of me I run: avoid him by being on my phone more when in his presence and being quick in conversation with him. A capricorn called me out on it once "I know you running from me".....gasp i became a sprinter after that. unfortunately this is something that is so hard to overcome, like am i supposed to just stand there and let his man prowess trump all over me?!

What the hell? I mean how are you even supposed to deal with a Cancer? Damned if you chase, damned if you wait..
I am a cancer Sun and Mercury and I definitely do the sidestep.
If a guy comes on too strong and makes it super obvious that he's interested before I know for sure that I am interested I will sidestep - until I make a decision one way or another.
If I am in the beginning stages of a relationship where it has been determined that there is a mutual interest and then I start to feel that his signals are inconsistent I will sidestep - until I see consistency or walk away.
If I am in a long term relationship and start to question feelings on either side I will sidestep - at least long enough to think things through at my own pace.

Lol I would say I am pretty back and forth with my emotions even after a year of dating someone! I never know how I will feel the next day and if I still even want to be with them. I'm still working stuff out but I can agree with "crab dancing" that Cancers tend to do 😆

Having been dealing with a Cancer lately, I noticed that I ended up doing the Crab dance myself! I am Taurus sun, Gemini ascendent and normally I would be quite straightforward and open about my feelings. Definitely not a Crab dance type of woman!
This time around though, since the Cancer guy is most definitely doing a Crab dance, I feel like not showing my interest openly and pulling back, because I am afraid not to be reciprocated. It is retarded!

Three months, with breaks forced by this guy's frequent business trips. Now we are back at the office after the Christmas break and the Crab-dance is on again.
He stares at me, hangs out around my desk for no reason (but generally does not dare to speak directly to me) and he awkwardly waited for me in front of the elevator to ask me how I was and inform me that he really liked all the pics I posted on social media during the holidays (stalker much..?).
I predict he'll message me again within a couple of days.
I told myself no more Crab dancing in 2017 but I just can't resist..

I am a bit old school and I tend to assume that if a guy is into you he'll come get you, and if he does not come get you that means he does not want to.

I get it... But the whole reason for the crab dance is to protect our feelings so he is scared as well. Someone will have to brave through this...

The side step waltz? You becha. I am never direct with a romantic interest. I flirt by doing nice things and using playful sarcasm, and using any windows of opportunity to give them a compliment. It is actually really quite easy to know I am interested without me having to spell it out. I simply act in a way towards her that I do not towards anybody else.
Now getting the ones that I am interested in to be interested in me? When I figure that out, I'll let you know.

^^ Yep, don't go cold when he does and it won't take long to see how he feels. If you stay consistent and we like you, we will stop going cold. If you stay consistent and we don't like you we will avoid you completely.
