Things I have learned about Cancers.

As a Gemini with my entire chart being Gem/Scorpio, I find myself especially drawn to certain signs, but at the same time I can really get along with anyone. My favourite sign by far is Cancer. What's not to love? 🙂 Things I have happened to take note of:

1. If you have to ask the question "Should I leave my Cancer alone?" the answer is YES and BACK OFF!
2. If you don't have a thick skin, this is not the sign for you. Cancers have an uncanny ability to care about you to no end, look after you, comfort you and coddle you...they also have the ability to execute a zinger that will knock the breath out of you. I find it quite amazing actually. Endlessly loving, but can take you down a notch effortlessly. (I told my boyfriend when we started dating that he's lucky I'm not a delicate little flower, because most girls would kick him in the nuts for some of his "jokes").
3. If you can't tell whether your Cancer is serious or joking, ask them. Seriously. Don't walk away wondering if the last thing they said was supposed to hurt as much as it did. I will say now though that 99% of the time they make an off colour remark about something you've said or done, they are just teasing you!
4. If they do mean the horrible things they said to you, they will either be endlessly apologetic, or tell you to suck it up and get over it. This has happened with every Cancer I know. Maybe this is where my thick skin came from...who knows 🙂
5. As much as they like to pretend they don't care, they really, really do. They will sit on it. They won't speak about it. When they see you, the look in their eyes will make it obvious. Don't prod. It will come out eventually.
5. That tough outward persona they show the world? Yeah, it's a front. Who could blame them really? Being sensitive leaves you open to so many hurts and disappointments in life. I just wish it didn't take so long to break down the wall!
6. Cancer man sits in his shell and cradles his feelings for ages. It could take him a year to 'fess up to how he feels about you. If you are wondering how to prod him in the right ways so that he will take a peak out of his shell, you're going to have to be blatant. I don't think showing devotion/emotion necessarily scares the Cancer guy away. I think it leaves him with much to think about. Give him time to mull it over while he hides. Don't ever stop prodding though!

@ crissy 42o, i have to say numbers 5&6 rang most true for me. last night i took a risk and confessed i was jealous about the number of girls my cancer has on his fb. i find it so hard to open up. i just decided i wasn't going to talk to him.

well he noticed something was up and didn't let me get away with it. he was a little upset, offended maybe but he took control of the situation...reassured me. it's the first time i've ever been emotional with him in the 6mths we've known each other.

a little something tells me the jealousy issue stirred something up inside him...but something positive. gawd i love cancers! lol

The older I get, the less I feel this way. They have such a delightful sense of humor...and the more I always feel good to be around people who don't blast me with more emotional energy than I already have. It is so intense on the inside already that to take on more is overwhelming.

One thing my Cancer boyfriend has said about me is that I never fail to make him laugh, and even though we both have very different decision-making processes and ways we go about our lives, those differences intermingle and create something really unique 🙂

Glad to know my observations helped and entertained you all 😄 I have had so many Cancers come and go in my life that I feel like I know them better than any other sign.

Gems are fun to be around, i don't know why you guys feel like there is a secret rivalry between gems and cancers, especially since being semi-sextile to each other most cancers and gems are likely to have personal planets in each other.

that intuition you say gems don't have - in progressed astrology gemini evolves in cancer, so it all comes with a little time and patience.

the stereotype is that gems are all fun and games but the ones i personally know in real life happen to be very hard workers too. i've never seen a lazy gem, at least no professionally.

Well some air sign 'geniuses' here happens to think of us as dumb, unintelligent emotional puddle lol. Really it becomes very hard to get along with people once they start forming judgment in their head before they get to know us more.

I have no problem with the sign itself, most air sign people I meet here are cool. These judgmental idiots are the ones I have issues with. I agree with MoonBunny that silence is the best answer, I don't see why I should respond to their idiocy.



you dont think you are being a little sensitive? (this coming from a pisces moon!) people are going to judge, no matter what signs, and gemini is just more vocal that's all. i wonder how you would do with sagittarian bluntness lol it's not as if cancers don't judge other people for whatever reason anyway.

let them think what they want. it's their loss if they want to write off a whole slew off people born within a 30 day period without really getting to know them. just keep doing your thing, whatever it is and don't worry so much when other people run their mouths 🙂

TBH I'm not talking about Gemini... it's some people in their sister air sign that I find very annoying (again I have no issue with the sign, just with some individuals that happen to be born under that sign). I'm not being sensitive, sorry if I come off that way. I know this is an astrology site and generalization can't be avoided here, still I find it a tad annoying when people come to some specific signs and say "oh you're a Cancers (or Pisces or whatever), then you must be sensitive (or emotional or wishy washy, whatever the sign's trait is). There is no freaking way that you don't behave that way, since you are born at this day this month and this hour!"

Actually I used to be good friends with some Sags and we got along pretty well (we fell apart because of distance). I'm fine with blunt people; ignorant and small minded people are what I can't stand.

My gosh my claw is showing up, I am bitching now lol... Ok, I'll calm down. 😄 You are totally right though I am trying my hardest not to get into a silly internet argument. I'm just going to do what I do best, treating those people like air lol.

it's ok. 🙂 you are frustrated and is understandable. Not everyone will underestimate you just because of astrology, so just keep your chin up and keep trucking on. If you keep a positive attitude you will be surprised the different type of people you'll be blessed to meet, or even how some others can transform. you might even find a transformation in yourself. let them make their judgments and watch the surprise on their face when they find they are mistaken. 🙂

I'm with the cancers on this one on the gems. I have a gem friend with a cancer moon that I get along with amazingly, and the mental rapport is awesome. Still something about his mental process of how emotions should and shouldn't be really rubs me the wrong way.

Cancer men are SO GOOD In bed!
I had two Cancers in my life..both are very passionate
But the last BF (Mr.Cancer 2011) was superb in bed...he can deliver waves of ecstasy..over and over again..makes me shiver just to think about it. It was AMAZING. Best love making I ever experience, it was PARADISE. Wish I can have it for life.



I love that all the cancer men I've been with in the past can pull all nighters with me. The current one, however, not so much. He tells me 'whatever you want baby' so that's a start. *shrugs*

Cancer men are unpredictable, aloof, indecisive and confusing. But they are very protective, jealous, loving and loyal. They definitely are the only sign that can make me feel over the moon, very romantic & passionate lovers indeed.
Thanks to the wonderful Cancer guys that made my life colorful & gave me beautiful memories 🙂 also..help me become more mature even through the not so nice experiences. I'm moving on 🙂

AGREED!!! a scorpio sting is NOTHING compared to the blow a crabby cancer can deliver. After a while you sort of expect a scorpio to supply some sarcastic, crude remark and it tends to lose its power, but an upset cancer can unleash hurtful statements that tend to the change your person within due to their sheer force and bitterness.

cancer here. On the geminis ,I get along well with them on a conversation level, I mean I can debate with them or talk for days ,I can talk about what I hate ,what I like, what I feel about this. It fun but I love dicussion. All air signs give me that conversation I like. Don't no why I'm like this and I have a mercury cancer which some how conflict with the need for conversation because some days I'm a shell .but the thing that stops me with gemin or air signs is the flickleness (if that a word) the only how they feel is when the feeling is new to them. Forexample a coworker gem and I was talking about how a nother dude lose his job I was trying to get her to understand the guy point of view ,she was unable to see it cause she never went thru that in her life. She was cold about the situation,I was more waying both sides making apoint. A year later she was court in the same situation but she felt like her situation was different.
