depression, destructive tendencies, tearing down to build up again, fear of abandonment, fear of being broke and or unable to take care of ourselves, over-work, unable to relax, fear of not being successful, anxiety, perfectionist tendencies, not feeling worthy of love. we need someone to give us a back rub and say baby, everything's gonna be ok, i got your back 😛

Dark side? What dark side?
It's not like Cap Men have a sadist mode or anything. Nope.
Won't see us tormenting our wannabe harems with our aloof indifference.
Crushing ad bankrupting everything in our way.
Humiliating anyone that dares stands against us.
Drinking the tears of our crushed foes.
Being a sociopathic success monster that unleashes their hatred on the world and through hardcore mating in their office and boardrooms. Nope.
...if you see him where leather pants and a silly tie, I'd run if I were you. Cause Goofycorn might get you.

Closet homosexuals.
Just because we make other me kneel before us, kiss and shine our shoes and address us as "Sir/Master/God" doesn't mean were in the closet.
We just like crushing their hopes, dreams, pride, dignity, self-respect and image like the cold hearted sadistic bastards we are (not). 😄click to expand

The worst for other people to deal with is the times of depression. Because there is nothing other people can do about it and that mood really affects the people around them.
Coming of as cold and heartless is another one.

Do you guys mean to be cold and heartless? Or is it only during depressing times?click to expand

I don't think we necessarily 'mean to', but we aren't the most empathetic of people -- especially if you've landed yourself in a compromising position due to your own stupidity.click to expand

We basically have a shut up, suck it up, deal with it, do what needs to be done and keep moving philosophy. We expect it of ourselves and we expect it from other people.
Like, people that just want to get attention from their problems, I have no patience for. Either do something about it or quit bitching. I'll help them make a plan to solve it, but if they don't follow through, I'm done listening. I'll be flat out honest about it too. Not at first, but eventually.click to expand

I think their dark side is more along the lines of you not being a good asset anymore. It could be depression, their own ambition to succeed, or simply the fact you suck. This is what makes them come off as cold or emotionless. Ice will thaw over time, even in a elusive hard headed sign like Capricorn. If you really matter to them, they will come back as their charming passionate self. Most likely with more money and power as well.

^^^this.
Also, I can be very black and white, matter of fact, and blunt about things.
Actions have consequences. So if you were In the wrong, I won't back you up. Too bad for you.
If I love you, I will tell you the blunt, honest truth. Sometimes you need to hear it.
If I don't, I will stay as far as I can from you. You will be left wondering why I'm not your friend anymore.click to expand

Are these bouts of depression common to all caps? Is there anyone here who doesn't go through this?

we do have that backwards aging going on.
Crying cause you can't work at 6.
Mid life crisis at 16.
I'd think a fiery Cap might be able to avoid that.click to expand

I have a Moon in Aries ( as fiery as it gets )and even thought I??ve managed to control the bouts by not doing anything stupid, and reducing the time they last to an hour max, those bouts are just a part of who I am. It helps me see where I'm not being congruent, where others are taking advantage, and what needs to change. ALL CAPS GO THROUGH THIS. Its Fucken Saturn punching us down.
Ok thanks. I asked because I've been with my bf for a year and I haven't ever noticed him get depressed or need space. He does have a gem moon and a sag mars which could account for that. He's also told me that when he was younger he would lock himself in his room and listen to sad music for days at a time. So maybe he's learned to shorten it like Lucriu said? A year isn't a very long time. Maybe this will only happen to him once every blue moon and I just haven't been around long enough yet.click to expand

As a Crab who generally has bouts of depression, what kills me about Caps is you don't do anything about your depression or your status, i've lived with a cap with pisces moon most of my life (my brother). I even researched and wrote up places he can get free therapy...and he just ignored it.
anyways i heard st johns worts helps in improving your mood, i'm going to try and see what happens

Thank you everyone for letting us know 🙂
In my experience, the "dark side" is indeed real...It's when my Cap needs to be alone for a while to think. So far (10 months), it's been about a night or so that he needs to be on his own until he can get out of the funk. When other people are around he will act sulky, negative and take it out on them. Bad company, I don't think he can help it 😢 It's odd because when I get in a mood, I try to be nice to other people because I'm aware that I'm in a bad mood, and don't want to shit all over them. I guess Caps and Saggies are just different. Perhaps I should take a cue from you guys...and retreat to plan my course of action.
My Caps dark side is triggered by work stress and relationship doubts. In the future, I will try to make myself scarce in those times, and check in from afar to reassure him that it is OK. There really is nothing anyone can do.

^ There's not much you can do, just keep a full life and be patient if you want to make it work. Sad to say but I think you should find your emotional support elsewhere when he's in a dark place 😢
Starting to see why Cancer is Cap's opposite sign... They just don't wear their moodiness on their sleeve unless forced to be around people when what they want to do is take refuge for a while.

What are the dark sides of a Capricorn? We know the good sides, but I'm more interested in seeing what I'll be getting into. Is the other side so scary? And if so, what are ways to cope with it? How should your SO act when you're in visiting this "dark" place? Thank you!
