Well the same thing happened with my ex; when we were in our early 20's. He said the same thing; and then when everything was falling in to place for him; and career wise he was confident enough and felt good as being the provider he came back.
So yes; depending on how deep his emotions run for you; he will be back.
In that period me and my ex remains friends; support each other as far as motivation and so forth.
Even now; we are really good friends.
I suggest you move on.
Honestly if a guy uses his life is in shambles excuse he'll use it again when it's convenient for him.
Even if he comes back, he's shown you he's a flake..
Sounds like an excuse to break up with you. Sorry. 😢
He's trying to be nice and do it in a way that won't hurt your feelings.

So I've been dating this Capricorn for 4 months now and things were going really great. However in the last week he started to push me away and he finally broke up with me because he's feeling "tired, stressed, burnt out, depressed and needs to sort out his life first". He basically gave me the whole "its not you, it's me" speech and how he cares about me very much and doesn't want me out of his life but thinks it's best if we are just friends now while he figures out his life and what he wants.
My question is, is there any chance he will come back to me? Should I stick around and be there for him and be friends or have I been permanently friend zoned?
