i watch these two cappie youtube gurus all the time, and it's funny, but within the past few days both have posted videos of their collection. one is showing her shoe collection(she's into fashion) and the other, her makeup collection(she's popular because of makeup tutorials).

i thought it was odd that i found both collections a bit.....excessive.

i just knew that shirley would have a good ten pair of shoes or less, because it seems she wears the same shoes a lot.
and I thought the same with Lauren. Someone even commented that she seems to be a creature of habit, and gravitates towards the makeup and colors she likes, so why so much?

i don't have any collections, but I do find that there are certain things I like to have around, like books, even if I don't put them to use smh. i buy books, and its the first thing i'm ready to spend extra money on.
i also tend to buy makeup and i don't wear it.

i don't know the point of this post lol, i guess i wonder if we can sometimes have spending issues or issues with things we don't need. maybe it's a silly thread since they make their living off of fashion and makeup, but still..

Yes, that counts. 31 different blends? Why?

Those shoes were the only different ones. Thats what made things so weird too...its like she had 10+ of the same style shoe, even same color, just different places she bought it from.
I like tea. They taste differently. One day I might feel like this blend and the other day that blend. There are black teas and green teas and red teas and white teas and Oolong teas... Idk, I'm weird, I guess. 🙂

Yeah, there were not a lot of variety among those shoes...

Id talk of different blends i like and why.

I like a Teavana blend but thats expensive, so when I dont want to buy it I use the cheap bigelow and experiment. I like to mix vanilla chai and orange spice.

Not sure what teas you use or blends, but i know im always thinking of something that would be good with vanilla chai. Id be interested in suggestions of good blends personally.

I tend to collect items because when I like something I get obsessed. And I like to stock up on things.

I collect scrapbooking supplies, I will buy whatever is latest and greatest, and then I only use a small portion of the things I buy. I just go overboard.then after a while I tend to sell it all and buy new.

Right now I'm into Jamberry nails. I've bought 8 sheets in a month, and I can't wait up buy more, but I am on a budget these days so I have to wait,

I had a shoe problem for awhile. I collected ones that I thought were pretty, but I never wore them. I always wear the same few pairs. I'd save them for a special occasion but I'd never have an occasion to wear them so they would sit and eventually I sold some.

Same with purses. I have a hard time resisting a cute purse. I do change them out somewhat frequently, I honestly can say I've ised every one in my collection. I'd like more, but I have a hard time justifying the spending these days.

I do purge items very frequently because I'm afraid of ending up like those people on hoarders.

Must admit that I'm not much into vanilla tea, usually, so we may not have the same taste. But there is one blend that I really like with ginger, cinnamon and cardamom. Then put some cayenne pepper powder on top and nibble on a piece of dark chocolate on the side, and you're good. But that's just me. 🙂

I use Luzianne tea bags.

1/3 tea, 2/3 water
Never heard of that. Exciting. Thanks! 🙂
I can't imagine not knowing about cold, sweet tea. Lol!

I have heard if sweet tea(...and drank it) but not of Luzianne tea bags. The tea I have tasted has been store bought, though, and too sweet for my taste, so I'm gonna try this variety instead and since I'm making it myself, I can add as much or as little sugar as I want. 😄

Well HappyCapper, ever looked at ? It's a community for tea and is filled with numerous user reviews. Some can be quite interesting to read so I figure you could do a Youtube channel with the right sort of presentation.

I might have a similar number of teas. Never counted them but they fill two cabinets. 😛
I collect mechanical keyboards and keycaps. 🙂
Since I sit behind a computer each day I started looking into more comfortable and more ergonomic setups and then I got sucked in to the customization of the hobby.
Suffice to say I have a keyboard in front of me that is more expensive than the computer or phone that most people read this forum on.
Oh, and there is a small 25 x 10 cm box to my right with roughly $ 500 worth of keycaps. Retail that is, aftermarket they would be even more expensive. 😆

Ah well, that's what happens when you get into the enthusiast/collector level of most hobbies.

Thank you! I'll definitely look into that site. The YT - channel may have to wait - tbh, if I were to make a YT-channel, I have a couple if other ideas about things I actually know something about, because, as I said, I love tea, but I don't know anything about it except for what I like. 🙂

So you're also a tea addict? Ah well, you can never have too many teas, now can you. 😉

Ah, so you're a keyboard nerd too? Awsome! May I ask you a question about keyboards? I have a close friend who has a huge problem with his wrist - what keyboard would you suggest he use? I'm not asking you to do any research, just if some keyboard-idea would suddenly happen to pop into your mind, perhaps you could inform me? He has done a lot of research on his own and found some great stuff, but it could be better.

$ 500 key caps? WoW!

It really depends on the sort of pain he has but I would suggest taking a look here first:
- GH Ergonomics Guide

Because in my experience better posture can make a huge difference if you know what to look for.
A basicTenKeyLess (TKL) board will help with your wrists because your mouse hand actually wants to be in the place where the numpad is.

But there are more exotic solutions like:

Ergodox -

Maltron two-hand 3D fully ergonomic -

Here is a good collection of links:
