Cap women and their clan(kids)

Her oldest is missing. She(Nicole Murphy) actually has five.

Kyle Richards and her crew of all girls.

Tameka Raymond(rnb singer Usher ex-wife) and her crew of 5 boys. Please send positive energy, or pray, for the the one with the glasses btw. He was in a horrible accident today and is in critical condition.

I would post some personal pics, but nah lol. My Cappie grandmother had six. Three boys and three girls, and she was a single parent.

I watched a total of four about a month ago and I thought to myself *I could definitely handle being a mother with this many kids* It almost seemed easier to watch four of them together than the one I usually watch, which is my niece.

I think I want a few of my own, but I need to get a few more things in order before I'm ready to have a child. Since I was younger too, I would feel that if I had a kid I wouldn't really care if the father was around. That's not good lol. I think I could handle 3-5. What about you all?

Man sometimes life can be so unfair. Ive prayed and prayed for the little one but they made the decision today to take her son off of life support. I pray that she(Tameka) and her family finds peace someway somehow.

I found it strange that she wrote a letter about her sons a few years ago and of the five he was her most difficult pregnancy. A few weeks ago she described him as her most helpful son on twitter, and someone who worked with her said they had an unbreakable bond.

The whole situation has been so sad. I know the type of person she is and if she doesn't cling to some type of faith this situation will destroy her.

Leaning towards zero kids BUT I'd be open to adopt.

same here..plenty of kids to adopt. other than the environmental degradation which happens to be a related problem, one of the next biggest problems humans will face is the fact that world population is in a cycle where it doubles every 35 years..so within our lifetime (2047), there'll be 14 billion people on the planet

I love this.

This is an awesome question. I feel like it's easy to just want kids. It seems as natural and part of life as marriage and having a home, death and taxes, but not as well considered for many. That my fly in many peoples faces, but I really don't think it is considered as much as it should be. Honest opinion.

That said, I think I want kids, but damn what a huge commitment. It's unfathomable. I have absolutely no idea what it will be like and I think that's what scares me about kids. I'm a wuss lol. I believe I'd make an awesome mother. I adore kids and kids adore me, but it's just that commitment that freaks me out. And not only that, but assuming I'm married and considering having a child... you have to go into parenthood with a certain mindset or run the risk of tearing your marriage apart because you couldn't stay astride each other. If I really wanted kids, I'd have to marry the right guy for me AND being my teammate as a parent. I mean gawd... it's hard enough finding the right guy for just lil ol' me!!!!

^^^^This! The commitment is what terrifies me! Plus I don't want to choose the wrong person to share the responsibility with me. I want 1 set of twins. They run rampant in my family.

The thing that terrifies me most is money. I remember being on yahoo answers and a pregnant 26yr old Cap posting that she has 16k in savings and was scared it wasn't enough to care for her first child. If she continued to work up until the last months then that's enough but I'd panick like that too. You never know what life may bring so my biggest fear would be going without.

Aww, thanks for posting pics Capgirl! You and your son are adorable!! How old is he?

Four sounds about right for me too. I know it would always be soooo fun at my grandma's house because of my dad, my uncles, aunts, cousins, their friends etc. Hardly ever any drama, just laughs and good times. That's the plus of having a big family.

An update from this...

I havent thought kids too much anymore. At this point I doubt Ill have any, which imo is not a good or bad thing for me at this moment.

I'm in the same boat inana. I don't mind one bit either... Funny I was looking in the mirror the other day and was like damn do I really wanna mess this up? Kind of a vain and selfish thought but... I justify that every time I watch the news.

Ha! After stressing a bit over someone I looked in the mirror and promised myself Id never go thru that again because I felt last year in general changed my appearance. II went thru soooooo much last year. t does sound vain, but stressing over life or a relationship is Not worth it....not when it starts to mess with looks lol.

I posted examples of the Cap ladies that had multiple kids and bounced back though. Nicole Murphy has 5 and her body is amazing.

My two were enough. They fought like cats and dogs. Drove me nuts!!!! I'm too old now, I'd have to hang myself if I got pregnant. lol!!! (that is a joke by the way). Although I think the experience would be awesome with Mr. Aqua and I wish I could have done it with him, I don't want any more kids.

Still makes me sad that I missed out on having children with this amazing man. 😢

My husband is a cap, he wants at least 4... Unfortunately after having had 1, I'm unable to have anymore children... Now he wants a surrogate. I'm fine with this but I've always wanted to adopt, myself. I think adoption is a beautiful thing. The only con to that is the possible psychological issues. Because of that, my cap doesn't want to adopt. :/ what he doesn't realize is that psychological issues are everywhere. Just because the children are from our genetic pool does not mean they won't have some sort of defect. Genetics are a funny thing.

It's been hard but I finally got him to say "maybe" recently, when in regards to adopting. Wish me luck ha.

I have one beautiful daughter, she'll be 1 in May. 🙂

I work in healthcare. Genetics does come into play with psychological issues (bipolar, schizophrenia, etc.) as well as hereditary issues such as Marfan's syndrome, spina bifida, chromosone abnormalities, etc. Just saying. He may have a valid point. The psychological issues usually don't show up until the children are older.

No biological kids. I can't stand babies/young kids. They require too much attention and are frustrating. With that view, it would be good for me to not have any for the child's sake as well. Haha. If anything, I might adopt an older child. Like, 5yrs+. Anything younger than that is no bueno. I like the idea of adoption, too.
Inspired, I actually just looked up some kids up for adoption, and my caring pisces side kicked in. All the kids were cute and awww. I'm being sucked in.

I work in healthcare as well, so I fully understand the significance of this context. My husbands family already has some evident psychological disorders, however. 2 of the 4 children were diagnosed with a form of psychological disorder. So, my daughter already has a good chance at possibly acquiring something with age... This is partially why I say, genetics are funny. No one in his family has had any disorders previous to them, at least nothing that was detectable. I guess I was more upset at the fact that he isn't willing to think about it, especially when he himself, carries some "off" genetics.

Besides, from what I can see, 9 out 10 people in this world will have some form of gene or genes that isn't/aren't preferred, whether it be physiological or psychological, they exist.

Who am I to say a child doesn't deserve love and happiness because he or she was born with something they cannot change.

A lot of the parents at the hospital I work at have adopted these kids with genetic birth defects. It takes a special person to do so. Perhaps he's afraid he couldn't handle it. I wouldn't be to be honest with you. I admire pe

Mental Disorders are a thing of this society. If your will is to adopt and even you have some knowledge backgound about the problems, go for it.

Try to exlain your husband that we all have disorders somehow, with alot of love they will pass or be dismissed.

Not easy to adopt, but not easy to have our children also, love solves it 🙂

Mine will be 2 this oct. And he is a little devil sometimes, No mutable, all fixed.

I would go for what are the signs and not the disorders lol

No he's not here on DXP. I mean here in my house. Lol. He doesn't want the commitment of having a child. He is fine with the one I already have but he doesn't think he'd like to be a 24/7 parent.

for some reason i was thinking he was scorpio rabbit. lol gotcha. well making babies is so much fun but a huge responsibility. maybe he will change his mind in time.

Mine is a Scorpio Tiger. 🙂
He sees what it's like when we have my son here, and he enjoys the freedom we have on our time off, which he realizes would go away if we had a baby. He's very sensible.

Another Cappie clan....the Braxtons. They have their own show. A funny hot mess, but reminds me a lot of my family....Caps seem to have funny families lol. Evelyn Braxton has six just like my Cappy grandma. The similarity between their family and mine is that all of their children seems to depend on their mothers opinion or final say. My father and aunts run everything by my grandmother and it seems toni, tamar and the rest do too.

Small clip of how silly they are lol.
