@cowpuncher - productivity, work and money take up too much of my time already so I do everything I can to leave it behind once I walk out of work! My free time is mostly spent working on game mechanics, eating, watching cartoons, and sleeping! lol

Eating... I keep telling the other signs we are very partial to dining well, and they seem to think I'm full of crap. lol
Game mechanics? huh? Do they have some Xbox game where you are a race car pit crew now or something? Changing spark plugs? Wouldn't surprise me any more than the "Rock Star" games actually taking off. Guess I'm old school, I believe in buying a guitar and playing that. lol
What cartoons? Most of my favs are old. Underdog, Super Chicken, and George of the Jungle still make me as happy to watch as they did when I was 4.

My biggest weakness is dining out. I can cook and I've been told I can cook very well (ok, by the hubby, so only one person), but nothing beats eating out. To say I love food is an understatement.
Game mechanics - You just gave me an idea, that is bad! lol! Actually I do a lot of number crunching on how to maximise damage output from my game character on World of Warcraft and Rift. I still do play games like Centipede, Pac Man, Super Mario Bros as well as old pinball machine games. 🙂
Cartoons - Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Danger Mouse, throw in some Pixar films and maybe a few by Dreamworks.

*starts twitching from anxiety* SO. MANY. CAPRICORNS. why are you all trying to be me?! *slams face into pillow*
I had no idea I was actually trying to be you. I was popped out of my mum clueless and, well, clueless. But anyways, HAI CAPMUSIC! I play piano. ... Poorly.
Love Ren and Stimpy! And I agree with cowpuncher, away with the politically correct junk!

Ooh, hey there, fellow Cap female gamer! 🙂
I'm a former WoW player myself, so I know exactly what you mean about the number crunching (and how much spare time it eats up)! I was in a guild where min-maxing was not optional, so the time I spent trying to squeeze every last drop of damage I could out of my main for each spec was crazy (not to mention researching new fights and PTR stuff). But it was really rewarding when it all came together. 🙂 What class(es) do you play, and how are you finding the current content?
I've never tried Rift, but I'm still debating dipping into Star Wars: The Old Republic. Other than that, I mostly play FPSs and a few RPGs these days via Steam, and am just loving not having to deal with some of the more... *ahem*, "disagreeable aspects" of the gaming community!

Hahaha, Sanyar. I just meant on the capricorn aspect 😛
Ren and Stimpy anyone?
Ren and Stimpy was love. 🙂
I'm mostly into my '80s cartoons. Defenders of the Earth, Mysterious Cities of Gold, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Thunderbirds 2086, Visionaries... it's a pretty long list. Thankfully most are up on YouTube (even Inhumanoids)!

Not to hijack, but yes i'm a musician. Or, aspiring I guess you could say. Like 5 songs done total.. so far.
I'm a musician too. 🙂
A while back an artist friend posted this up on Facebook, and I really wish I'd seen it back when I started, as I may not have been so self-doubting and frustrated with my own work as I was. It doesn't even matter if your work is fantastic from the get-go, most of the time our own harshest critic is ourselves. It may not apply to you at all, but I just really think it's good advice for any creative person when they're starting out (especially if you hope to make a career from your work). I've also found it to be true in my case. 🙂
I have literally hundreds of tracks in various stages on my old HDDs. I'm still kinda floundering and frustrated with my personal work from time to time, but the "gap" he mentions is certainly closing. Slowly, but it is. 🙂

Hi Five10FiftyFold!
My main is a warlock, my alts are a Death Knight (dps spec mostly, tank spec 2nd), priest and a druid. I've tried mages and I literally would fall asleep playing them. Death knights' rune system is setup to be confusing just enough to joggle my mind and keep it from wanting to fall asleep. As for the current content, I love the quests and new dungeons because of the heavier involvement of Warcraft lore. The cutscenes are nice too! 🙂 The raid content was a bit meh to me.
Rift is a cool game, need to get back into some time, SWTOR is interesting too but during beta testing, my experience was very distinctly up and down, not sure what to think about it.

Hey, what do you play Five10fifty? Guitar player here, too lazy to be very good at it anymore though 🙂
Piano originally (well, technically violin, but switched to piano when I was still very young). Now I mostly play with sound synthesis, field recordings and anything I can make a sound from (including some traditional instruments from time to time too, whether I can technically play them or not), as well as programming and production (although I don't enjoy that side so much, but it's necessary). I studied sound art and design at university, so got pulled into the whole experimental/noise music scene. That scene gets a lot of stick though as much of it sounds very easy to make, but in order to make actually good, engaging and interesting experimental or noise takes either a lot of natural talent or a lot of training and discipline (and I'm not saying I have either).
I seriously envy you guitarists! I've tried to play since I was 12, but I have almost zero aptitude for the instrument. I'm not a great deal better at bass, either. I would seriously switch almost any of the natural talents I have to be even a mediocre guitarist. I understand the laziness when it comes to practising though (or rather, not having the time or inclination, which I guess you may mean as well 🙂), as I've been struggling to fight through that the past few years myself. I think the worry is that without practise your ability starts to slip, and, given that you're talking to someone who wishes she could play guitar, I urge you not to let that slip too far!
Can I ask which guitarists you admire? Not being one myself I'm probably easily impressed, but I really love Lindsey Buckingham. His solo acoustic performances of Big Love in particular always blow my mind.

Warlock here too, so I'm kinda glad you didn't say mage! Damn pesky mages with their ice blocks and face rolls! 🙂 I love warlocks, through and through. Destro is my heart (despite it being the mage-y spec), but I was rarely allowed to play it by my guild. My primary alt was a hunter (mostly marks, sometimes surv) and secondary was a DPS DK as well ('though I only got her to 82 after Cata. She was unholy mainly; never really got into her post-Wrath, so don't know how she'd have turned out in Cata 😢). I have every class as other alts, but could never get a mage above 60 or so (Zangarmarsh was the furthest I took one, so I'm guessing 60). Always wanted to raid on my SPriest though. 🙂
I'm a lore junkie, so if they've added more lore into the game since Firelands hit (I quit a little before), I'll be sad about missing that. I was a bit disappointed with how I saw the lore being sacrificed for game mechanics though, eg, undead hunters, NElf mages, warlock and DK battle rezzes etc (I know how each was rationalized, but it still doesn't sit right for me), but I understand that Warcraft is a game first and foremost, so I guess mechanics trump that.
I only watched vids of SW:TOR, the majority being sith inquisitor game play during beta (I'm a Horde 'lock, so it was an automatic choice! 🙂), but the reviews are definitely sketchy. I have friends playing, but they're still hardcore/semi-hardcore, and I'm not in a place to do that again any more. I think maybe in a few months Bioware might go "oh shit, the WoW-factor" (WoW will still have the market share for a long time, I reckon) and post up free 10 day trials or something, and I think that'll be the time to sample.

BTW: Hi, I'm a nerd. *blush*

My heart goes out to the Affliction spec, I quest on that spec a lot but can't raid with it because dps wise, it is not competent enough. Destruction was fun but the rotation was rather clunky. Demonology has been a lot of fun so far for me. Yes there is even more need for pet management but that's ok. Frost spec DKs now eat mages lunch if played well. Last night I saw a DK hit 70k dps whilst the fire mage was on 45k, it was just crazy. What's even more interesting is that for frosk DK spec, you play on Unholy stance.
As for lore being sacrificed for mechanics, it didn't bother me too bad but I'll blame my Sagittarius moon for making me a little mutatable at times. But yes, DKs and warlocks now have battle rezzes (the warlock battle rez is now the soulstone). The w
