I will say that two of the three have since ended, but I want to learn more about composite charts so I want to hear inputs from others as to why/how, etc. What aspects or placements show certain traits? What WOULD be beneficial placements/aspects? They ALL have such interesting placements and differences. However, one thing thats interesting is all the moons end up in the 11th house! super weird. I have an 11th house moon, but not all of these people do... (actually two do and one doesnt).

Anyways, a little later I can disclose which relationships have already erupted and exploded, but I want to hear what others think. What "makes or breaks" these charts? What makes them work? What doesn't? I've done some reading on them but to me it is still slightly confusing since the representation is of two people, not just one. I don't know what would make a "decent" composite chart.

Enjoy 🙂

I don't have an answer, but I want to say thanks for posting this. 🙂 Very interesting. I haven't looked at composite charts much before.
I know neither have I! I'm very curious about them and want to understand which houses/placements/aspects are beneficial. as you can see in one there is a mega first house/second house cluster. another there's a third and fourth. and another is the ninth. I've heard Pluto is a major kind of negative catalyst. other than that I'm not too sure.

I wonder if the all-knowing @tiziani knows. hehe. I always harass him in my times of curiosity

Yes. I've found a lot more value in looking at two charts long after a relationship has been established, or is over, rather than when it's new to see if the theories seem to work or not. Looking at relationships with my parents, just at synastry not composite, is something that I've done for example. It seemed to fit quite well. So often people only look at romantic relationships with astrology.

There's some interesting info about composite charts here, but it doesn't go over placements and aspects much, just gives an idea of what a composite chart can or can't show:

Tiziani is a great resource here.

I'd guess the 3rd chart is the person you're still with?

I read that composite charts with stelliums do a world of good for a relationship, especially with the "love stellium" which consists of sun, mercury, and venus conjunct each other.

One of my most positive relationships had a 10th house composite in libra. We had mercury, sun, venus, mars, and north node all in the 10th. Mercury didn't conjunct the sun or venus. Whenever we were together in public, I felt like we worked really well as a unit and we were like 'the power couple'--we got along, worked well with the public, wanted to further each other career wise, and i felt like if we actually got into an actual relationship, we would be able to be all over each other in a lovey dovey way (mars and venus conjunct) that would not only show each other that we loved one another, but also show the world. Of course it would be in moderation though--maybe some hand holding, hugging, swinging each other around, sharing, or a light nuzzle on the neck--nothing overtly showy or that should be done in private like sitting in each others laps or a full on make out session.
Our moon was also in the 3rd house which meant we just enjoyed spending every day with each other and actually felt validated by seeing and interacting one another on a daily basis. 3 days away felt like a week.

Bad composite charts would be ones where your planets are all over the place. Like my ex and I..
Our chart is a complete mess. One planet in the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 2nd. 2 planets in the 1st and 6th. and 3 planets in the 4th.
Relationship was absolutely horrible. Lots of insecurities, fears, insensitivity, sensitivities, delusions, miscommunication, gossip, hurt feelings, reopened wounds.... Absolutely horrible. We were not meant to be with each other. The only reason why we got together, I think astrologically speaking, is because his eros opposed my psyche. We felt comfortable with each other on a deep level. We felt complete with each other.
But the relationship was horrible.
I think we both regret it.

Oh, and aspects! Sun conjunct venus is good, like you both kind of just like each other. Venus conjunct mars is great. Sun opposite mercury is interesting. Mars conjunct neptune makes the dream work! Lol.. I think the north node conjunct any planet is a good sign. And there's sun, mercury, and venus conjunct. Sun, mars, and venus is nice too.
Moon square pluto makes you two obsessive. It feels like the relationship would be taken to the grave.
Venus opposite saturn is bad. It feels like no matter how much you absolutely adore one another, a relationship just will not happen or work out the way you hope it would because there is something missing. Mercury opposite venus makes you two avoid discussions about the state of your relationship or deeper topics. You know theres tension in that area there, but your mind doesn't travel to that spot.
