our dreams are 'forbidden thoughts...unconscious desires" with two layers of meaning
Freud says

The man did love his morphia and cocaine.

so your saying Freud was a freud?

LOL No, I'm saying Freud was chasing the dragon and making his nasal passages a nightmare. Ohhhh yes, id, dreams, penis envy, wheeeeee!
Similar to Dr. Spock. How many children did that buffoon screw up with his 'end all, be all' book on rearing.

Don't know. He wasn't big here spock that is, not until he got the job on star trek.

LOL!!! Witty, witty.

Freud was an idiot, just my opinion. Wouldn't put any trust into his weird Science.
Let me guess, you've just passed your introduction to psychology in collage and now you feel you have knowledge enough to call someone bigger than you a bullshitter? What do you think about astrology then, the mother of bullshit science! Are you even familiar with Freuds body of work?
I guess it makes people feel big to call Freud or any other genius a bullshitter because basically you can't meet them to say it to their face. Who's next, Einstein? Bullshitter.....

Einstein a great mind but could not come up with a theory of everythi9ng great standard theory but could not master the very small. But no one has so far.
PART 1:
PART 2:
PART 2:

Ccdar what do you think about Einstein's theory of time that all time exsist all the time that the past the future and now is ongoing at all times? I my self think that space/time is the forth demintion. any thoughts?
I don't know anything about this but I do know that a person doesn't figure out who they are, they create who they are. You're not born a certain person right? You make it up as you go along, and only your past can define you, and your future depends what you do in the present... ? lol If the words I put it in make sence to anyone... 😄

I think there may be 11 dimensions. i am not sure as many are not sure about time/space is it one or two or more. If there are 11 then the possibilty of time before the singularty is very possible. anyway I will send you a book title to read that has some interesting facts. deals a great deal with quantum physics and theory. I need to get the right name and authors name right next week.

Actually I have passed several with an A I might add and I have a Bachelor in Bio. I like Einstein he makes sense and proves his theories (energy never ceases to exist can be proven, black holes are proven, the list goes on and on), but Frued's views are almost as strange as the students I encountered in the psychology classes. Most of them are there because they need help and are trying to figure themselves out. Sorry just my opinion you are entitled to your own.
I'm sorry I have a hard time believing that you've passed anything. If we take the very foundation of Freud's psychoanalasys, that the childhood years are crucial for the development of our persona and that our fears and desires are basically a product of that early experience of life.... now really, you think that all that is bullshit? I mean this even applies to cats, dogs and monkeys for Gods sake!

Freud, like everyone else at the time, was working with what information he had available to him... his was the first major paradigm of psychology and is still popular among psychologists today. Science is continually advancing and without theories of the past we could not have theories of the present.... Cognitive psychology is actually a mixture of psychoanalysis and behaviorism [and neurology] and is the most prevalant paradigm today. So Freud's contributions were pretty significant.
Hairitic, western marketing is based on the theories of Watson - he took up advertising after he left Johns Hopkins in shame and revolutionized how advertising was done. Behaviorism is too austere for my taste, but his contributions to marketing were impressive.
