Posted by Wizardz Because your boyfriend is trying to stop the barrier from being put up it makes me think that you are worried a man will come in between you and your boyfriend somehow, whilst he is away in a different city. You're in bed so I'm wondering if it's a warning to yourself to make sure not to let anything happen with another man whilst your boyfriend is away.. not saying you would but perhaps your subconscious fears that for some reason

Oh the both of you- well that's different. I thought your man wasn't inside with you. So it's about not letting go and not wanting to. To be locked up together forever.
You didn't do it but someone else forced you two to be together, so it's not your fault for wanting it and it happening.

A recurring theme is vision

I asked my friend who is a goddamn super genius analyst 😂 Idk where she got the "elderly" bit from, as you never stated he was elderly
it was a short dream. it started with me just sitting up in bed which happened to directly face the open door leading to the balcony of my apartment. i was staring off into that space with the door obscuring part of the view. the bed is never placed in that area which is basically behind the door in this dream (coz who does that? lol). but the longer i stared off into that space (it was still light out), i increasingly felt a sense of foreboding like an approaching danger.
Fear of exposure, something being revealed, secrets being uncovered maybe. Bed speaks to intimacy, privacy, unburdening oneself lying down to rest so to awaken in direct line of sight of an open door can speak to something being unveiled. This person set up in bed staring into the open... this I would guess is them trying to make sense of what's happening and what they're seeing. This could also represent vision. Note: the door isn't fully opened so not all of the revelation or vision has come into focus just yet. Doors symbolically represent enlightenment so perhaps as I said above this person is in internal conflict with themselves over something they're not seeing clearly just yet.
then this tall, unknown man slowly comes into view and seems to have just finished smoking a cigarette. his eyes were obscured by a wide-brimmed hat. he's dressed up like he belongs in a farm somewhere.
Elderly could represent wisdom, wisdom slowly coming into view. Ahh but still the eyes (vision/sight) are hidden. Dressed like a farmer could represent humility, hard work, and being practical. Perhaps this person has to put in the work to figure out what the cause of the internal struggle is. Could also suggest the way this person shows (appearance) up is not in line with who they are/are becoming. As clothing is significant of the way we appear in/to the world.
there was some blinding white flash, i don't know if my dream skipped or i just can't remember some parts but next thing i know this man seems to have boarded up the door with wooden planks and nails (which is ridiculous coz he could've just closed the door?).
A blinding white light could mean loss of sight or not seeing what's just beyond the threshold (doors). Not fully seeing the next stage of growth and enlightenment this person is developing into. White also symbolically represents clarity, enlightenment so perhaps this person caught a glimpse of clarity before the door was literally shut on them. Maybe the elderly man (age + practical wisdom) can see what this person can't see coming just beyond the doors and knows that closing the doors alone won't keep it out or maybe this elderly person is a blockage to the insight this person is seeking. Elderly could speak to past experiences maybe their letting their past experiences shutter the door closed (planks) so as to not face what's coming or what they don't want to see/can't see.
anyway, suddenly i can see my boyfriend (who i didn't even know was there) and he was trying to stop the man while I'm just weirded out like just close the door dude but the dream ends with that coz i woke up weirded out.
Hmm, interesting... maybe this means there's something hidden that this person (I assume female because says "my boyfriend".but could also be male) isn't seeing about the boyfriend who suddenly appears unbeknownst to her ( is he who/what's coming in?) and the elderly man with his practical wisdom attempts block her in (away from the bf?). This could also represent old/new ways of thinking and/or seeing and she's at war with herself over whether to stick to tradition or move forward with something new but may be breaking tradition or long held (outdated) beliefs.
this dream was a just a few days when he left coz he suddenly got a new job like 3 cities away. which makes me wonder if this is an emotional signal from myself maybe"
*It sounds like someone on a journey, going through the "dark night of the soul" an internal struggle having to work hard and face some hards truths, armed with new wisdom will have to shed outdated beliefs and patterns no longer serving them and make clear decisions about the next stages of their life. Overall, this dream is about introspection and contemplation.
this sounds reasonable. it's true that I've been having serious internal conflicts. just yesterday, we had an explosive fight over the phone that made me want to re-think our relationship. but my attachment to him is so rigid that i don't see myself leaving ever really. i think it was the 2nd day when he left for the new job was when i dreamt about this. that's probably what sparked it. i've been conflicted for months now. even this dream was surrounded by a 'murky light'. you know how light's supposed to make things clear? this one felt like light it obscured things.
