anyone ever had a close family member receive a hefty inheritance?

or even a very close friend? I've had several family members receive a hefty sized inheritance, and even family that married those who even won the lottery.

there's someone we know who received a big sum, quite a few people recevied alot of money that we know, and one of these individuals, had been mugged recently in the last month. The muggers were apparantly drug addicts, because one of the female drug addicts went to the attorney's office (where they took the inheritance papers, stolen it, or had it copied) The details are a bit not detailed to me....

but from what my understanding is, the woman who turned in the inheritance papers looked drugged out and homeless, and told the attorney that she stole the papers from the muggers, and was hoping for some reward money.

the address was on the papers (if lost send it to the attorney's office)

when i mentioned it to someone outside of the family, they had a feeling it was not drug addicts but a criminal ring that actually knew of the inheritance,

and devised a plan to forge the papers and hopefully get the money for themselves.

I didnt think about that, and no one else thought about that either, everyone -- the few who know of the inheritance, thought it was just a bunch of drug addicts.

anyone with really good analyzation skills, figure out, this kind of scenerio?

would it be a criminal ring that actually did this?

thinking that they can forge signatures and papers and photos /identification to get inheritance?

bump.

hmm i guess no one has ever known anyone who inherited (not that theyd say they inherited anything lol)

or rather just figure out if there was actually a criminal ring that could possibly stalk the individual hoping to forge the inheritance papers and identification with their forged signature?

which is weird cause the attorneys know what the inherited person looks like and all the ID...

maybe it's the attorneys that did it? lol j/k.
