NON GMO natural foods

GMO = Genetically Modified Organisms

is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques.

This thread is for those with information or would like to discuss your experiences with GMO's and natural food, and natural living.


I would also like to know who is conscious of the foods they eat and what is in them.

The FDA has approved GMO foods in the past and will continue to do so.
This food is not healthy. Our system cannot withstand fake foods.
I'm thinking much of the high cancer rates is due to the food we eat. What is your opinion on this?

Who grows or shops for natural foods?

I have a difficult time eating fruit from the grocery store.
My mouth and ears start to itch. I can only eat farmers market fruit.
So i pretty much go the entire winter eating very little fruit. As I like to eat it fresh.

Sams Club has a ton of things like Grapples (grapes and apples)and these tangerine and grapefruit mutant fruits. At least that's what I call them ...mutant fruit.

Did you know Activia was genetically altered? Yogurt does not naturally regulate anything. I wish I could remember everything from that class you would be surprised.

I am a huge conspiracy theorist so don't get me started.

I think flu shots are something other that what they claim to be. I'm not sure what they are but mark my words 30 years from now we are going to be saying...Hell Naw the government did that.

I try to only shop at Wholepaycheck but I am not sure I'm getting what I pay for.

There's a theory that the govt wanted to be able to track people by using some radio type transmitter that would be implanted/injected at birth. It never went through, obviously.

However, knowing that, I find it interesting that within the last 10 years that the flu vaccine has been pushed on us like whoa. Can't help but wonder...

Monsanto is a nasty company. They have soybeans locked up. Not just a variety, but the entire species. If you even consider growing your own and they find out, instant lawsuit.

Pfft, organic can be a waste of time.

One, some farmers fudge their way into becoming organic growers by following protocol, just for certification and then go back to whatever they want after certification. I'm not sure how often they're followed up on though.

Two, even if your food is strictly organic, guess what happens when you wash those organic fruits and veggies? Kinda reverses the whole idea of being grown organic.

Another great idea in theory, ruined by asshats. 😢

However, thanks to the FDA, the Federal Govt, and the courts... what happens now is Monsanto sues me for infringing on THEIR patents, because THEIR GMO corn polluted my crop! They almost invariably win as well. Many small farmers who farm traditionally have been literally ruined by these lawsuits by Monsanto, through no fault of their own. Google it and you'll find many examples.

Learned about it from watching Food Inc. I don't doubt they've done other farmers dirty as well. It's total bullshit.

Oh that didn't happen to me, I was just giving hypothetical example. It WOULD happen in a heartbeat though if I planted non-GMO corn, and saved my seeds from my crop to plant again next year, because there are thousands of acres of Monsanto-GMO corn planted all around me every year here 😢

I know it didn't happen to you. In Food Inc. they covered how monsanto was doing this to farmers. They told the story of what happened to one of them. They basically ran the guy bankrupt in legal fees from litigation.
