Pre-Natal Vitamins?

I keep hearing all these women telling me about how great pre-natal vitamins are as far as making your hair and nails grow. And these are not all pregnant women. I've done a little research, and they're damn expensive. I don't want to waste $ $ $ on something that may or may not work. So do any of you women have personal experience with this? Is this like, the best kept beauty secret ever?

This comes from military hospital experience.. Pre natal vit's are specifically to provide "everything" a growing embroyo needs.. so you can imagine it's the "Ragoo" of vitamins. It's all in there. (and probably why expensive... plus it's a medical market.. "the best for your child".. hype. They are.. it's just the manufacturers play on that as well.

Thanks you two...just a little "hmm, I wonder if that really works or if all these people are full of $ hit" kinda thing. My hair grows fast actually, also...so I'm not in dire need of the stuff. But I thought..."hmm.....Rapunzel hair sounds fun!" More for someone to grab on to..etc...lol

Alot of women used to buy gelatin capsules (I have sisters, remember..) but I believe this was later proved to be unsupported. (Like the big "Eat Bran/Fiber" biz of years back.)

my step mom was like to my sisters u are never cutting ur hair. my gemini sister has complained and argueded enough to be let everynow and then. by my older aries sister hasn't and apperently doesn't want to to bad for it's long. i just don't know how long uh, 1/2 down back. and she's just a litle shoter then me and i'm less then 5 9.
