Alter ego...?

Let me first start off by saying that I find you very mentally stimulating; I think it's great that you pose such profound questions/posts.
Here's my take on things... I feel that we're an extension of God and that he has placed us here to carry out a specific duty and has set us on a certain path to fulfill that duty, but along the way things begin to happen. Starting out on this journey we were pure and authentic, however as we began to come in contact with environmental influences they began to contaminate our thinking as well as our self-image. (Parents, teachers, neighbors, t.v.,drugs, etc.) So now, not only are we searching for our purpose in life, but we're also trying to get back on the right path to finding our authentic-self so that we can be received back unto God.
Now-a-days you really have to know who you are, and what you are because if you don't the world is going to define it for you.

I agree with you Rare-Gem...durrie is very mentally stimulating! I also agree with your post about life and us humans....what has happened to us is called, "domestication." We came into this world in the pure form of love. Could it be that all that has and is happening to us is meant to only for us to discover this? Maybe all of this domestication is a shell that has covered our true being and now we are to chisel that away to get us back to our true selves. Life is a process of discovery and we are here to LIVE....living is everything isn't it? The good, the bad the ugly or however one chooses to perceive the challenges that enter into his path.
I seem to find myself taking off the layers of the past to reveal the new me...sort of like going through a re-birth. This is fun and exciting and so full of surprises!

Those realities are known to us, ingrained in each living and transforming cell of our system but the functional part of our soul, that is mind gets into delusional modes, creates illusory realities and personal truths. These states of our mind, allow us create some truths that we start believing. Many of these illusions, delusions, and unreal truths are programmed by artificial educational systems, pseudo-religious & rigidly structured social political belief systems since thousands of lives that we have lived. Whether we change or keep the same vibratory frequency of our spirit energy, - which is our true essence, our true reality [the only real one indeed]; in this life, we are trained and programmed to believe things which are non-existing realities. In other words, they are mere fantasies and even though they are tangible thoughts they are not essentially real. These non-real entities and beliefs become our personal truths and we expect others to have the same truths. Each entity and frequency has its own personal truth. We not only believe in all these given personal truths we force them into our lives and try impose on others by expecting them to behave as per our truths.
These truths are never interpreted by us for lack of time to evaluate our life. We take them for granted. By the resistance to accept the real reality or what is out there, we create great misery for us. We suffer incessantly. We wail and grieve for being cheated, getting ripped off, used, wasted and we blame this, that and anyone who appears to be the cause. People appear horrible, rigid and seem to manipulate us and we want to change them. There are so many things we want to change. We are filled with almost all negative feelings and we enter into rage, hopelessness, despair and angst. Every person deals with hurt in a different manner by any available mean or channel to release. Many kill this internal pain and suffering by emotional cosmetics like alcohol, drinks, drugs, foods, poisons and other ways to self destruction. All this works temporarily but there is no solution. Others keep stuffing with non-releasing dead emotions believing that their anguish, misery or martyrdom may change something. But nothing ever changes and we continue with our perpetual intents of changing the world. Why?

There is much correlation between that and what I was trying to get across in my origional post, but something just as great has dawned on me from the above and the replies to this post on the misc board.
The reality is that you need to recognise and accept you are actually an unworldly being in essence. Once you do that it is as the above says...you become very happy healthy and wise through your association with that nature because that is the actual you...!!!
While it is true that my realisation of the "me" and "I" has undeniably proven to myself that I am actually a soul and not essentially a human I realise now that that was my realisation and it need not work for everyone else..."good things come to those who wait"...!!!

I posted this topic on the misc board and then after much consideraation, the Gem board because Gem's have that open mind and thirst for knowledge...a strong sense of free and open emotionless debate which I was hoping to tap into and with you and freebird I can see I have achieved that...!!!
Yes...you think like I do in that you believe in the "oneness" of all...that we are all connected...all part of God that is true and your thought that we have a duty on earth is also true...our duty is to serve God...pure and simple...anything else is serving ourselves...!!!
Now when you think about it...that doesn't mean you can't have what you want in life because by serving God you actually serve yourself...remember the connected "oneness"...!!!
You see, that contamination of our self image and thinking you speak of while on that path to our God given duty is very real and is only contamination through our very own choice...that is God's gift to us through physical life...freedom of choice...!!!
We have the choice to serve and satisfy ourselves or we have the choice to serve and gratify God and hence indirectly serve and gratify ourselves.
When we choose to serve ourselves it is because we are more interested in the physical state, gain and being than in Godly state and being. This binds us to the physical world through our own choice because we prefere that state...that is our choice and we are hence damned into the eternal but fair cycle of life and death of which physical life is a part of.
We serve ourselves by means of gratifying our senses as part of a false world made of physical mediums. Think of it like this...
You have many household things that bring you as Rare_Gem or Freebird much pleasure...your favorate TV show...your favorate arm chair to watch it in etc...
Those things please Rare_Gem and Freebird...they do nothing for your soul so they do nothing for God and hence you need to pay pennance for your sins...
The simple process I have outlined above is know as karma.
Realise what and who you actually are and live accordingly...that's all there is too it.

I am not sure if we are talking about the same person as your spelling of the name (Maitreay) is different than the spelling that I have (Maitreya). I do not know anything about this person yet. I just thought his/her message was very interesting. I am willing to learn though and I will do some exploring. I have found that we can never really know someone no matter how much exploring we do. So much is hearsay or gossip..only the specific person involved would be the one I would need to speak with. Healing...is merely a process...the reversal of the process of getting sick...so then why do you think healing is a miracle but not getting sick...—
In the same way I can make water from oxygen and hydrogen. I can also make oxygen and hydrogen from water...it's a process that I understand so it's a process I can do...
Show that process to an ignorant man who is bound by his mind and he will call it many things...a miracle is one of them.

A child is young as an adult is older but your soul...your soul has no age your soul is a constant...it always was and always will be...as is God.

God says he knew us before we were in our mother's womb. Which meant he knew exactly how we would handle things. He knows our mind and heart before we were a seed and picked us, as Freebird implied. There is nothing to get back to. Just keep on going forward. Enjoy life and let it unfold naturally and not try and force love. Your heart either loves and acts accordingly or it doesnt. Maitreya is not a person per se. Maitreya means "The World Teacher" in the Buddhist culture. The World Teacher for Christians is known as Christ. In all the different religious cultures they each have a name for their "World Teacher" who will once again come down to earth for the 2nd coming.

Yes, I think that is exactly what God wants us to do. To take ourselves to the limit mentally and to do things that are phenominal. Such as rockets to the moon, open heart surgery, organ transplantions, cars that go 200 miles an hour etc...power, energy, build. I think he is fascinated by what man can do and build, and sad at the same time at what he can destroy. I think he will let us go as far as we can. Like I said just watch. Jesus Christ came to a realisation...he realised his true self and that is that he is essentially a spirit a soul...NOT a human body!!!

For an entity to refer to itself as "me" and "I" suggests that there must be two differant entities in question...it's logical...think about it.
If "I" were to hate, love or not control itself it would surely refer to itself as "I" not as "me"...they are two differant things...!!!
So what now does this tell me...—
Well personally it does a lot to explain to me why I believe we live falsly within society because of our will to gratify our physical senses.
Our minds or the "me" watches tv, reads magazines and begins to think that the right clothes and makeup is what it takes to get the perfect husband...so the "me" lives in "society" a false world...a rude, heartless, money driven, pointless existance that is by it's nature in an ever downward spiral through desire...!!!
Now all we have left is the "I"...so how do we explain that...!!!

The "I" is the reason you know that no matter how much makeup she wears or which designer designed his clothes they should have no outcome at all in your choice to see that person as attractive for if it does then you are attracted to those clothes or that makeup not that person as they are...the way they were born!!!
