Why are gemini's perceived as fake?

I'd say this perception holds because they have two perspectives, two answers for a lot of things. Example: X asks, Are you in love with me? Gem answers: It's a bit early to tell, I mean can you really say "I love you" without knowing each other well? X says: "But you said, 'I love your friend X' to Joe the other day." Then Gem's like: "Yeah, I did say that. And I meant it." So you can see the dilemma, is it love, is it not love? It's not really fake, but you can see how giving two contradictory answers would seem like being fake. Just my take.

Speaking for myself and every gemini I know personally, I feel like sometimes, if anything, Gemini's may be too honest? I know a lot of the time I will say something that others don't know how to react to or something that no one else would dare to say.



What you said is so accurate. At least for me. I am not shy about telling someone I care about how
I feel about them or something about them that I find endearing. Often I've been met with the "deer in the
Headlights look" or a complete look of being perplexed. It's conflicting at times because I dont know how
To take their reaction and respond.

I think many people don't know how to deal with up front honesty. Often it's seen as a threat rather than genuine communication.

We've become such a world of social media and electronic communication, that being honest and an open to someone you care about is real when social media quite often is more of a facade.

I've always just accepted that those who don't value honest communication but need something that's "the tweaked" version of reality, then I don't want them as a friend etc. I hate games and phony people. Give me real, honest, integrity. I can deal with honesty, even if it hurts over BS. In the end, you always know where you stand and what you stand for.

I always was perceived to be fake because I am extremely sociable . At school i never stayed with my group i always was social with people and love meeting new people. At parties as well i would stray away from my group just to socialize with people . I now go to events by myself and have no problem meeting new people and dont worry cause i'll always see people i know . That has been the reason people wont tell me things and if they do they be like don't tell nobody lol . I am very honest and i love that quality about us we are not gonna tell you whatchu wanna hear we will give it to you straight . In society their is no level of accountability anymore but i refuse to except mediocrity just to fit in with everybody else .

I think they are sincere and mean what they say at the time they say it. However, tomorrow they may have a different outlook and opinion. Not fake, just inconsistent, which could come across as fake to other people. I learned not to hold them to their statements and not to be surprised if things change. Just learn to expect it. I do respect the open mindedness and acceptance of new ideas and I wonder if that is the reason for conflicting opinions sometimes.

On another note, I always did admire how quickly and easily they make friends.

I can't speak to the Gems you know, but I am definitely not like what you said, "tomorrow they may have a different outlook and opinion." Absolutely NOT TRUE for me. I have deep feelings, well founded opinions, and stick to them like glue.

While I can change my behavior to deal with a problem or a person who has hurt me, I don't change my core belief system. As I told the last Virgo who gave me the silent treatment: I will never apologize for who I am, what I believe or who I care about.

I have 5 close friends. They would tell you how consistent I've been over the years with my words and actions. They compliment each other.

Perhaps the Gems you are dealing with have not matured enough to be consistent. When it comes to maturity levels, Gems don't have a monopoly on maturity.

I think depending on the situation, opinions SHOULD change if new information is introduced. To be rigid and stick to your guns just to do so is not necessarily mature. Letting your opinions shift and flow is not necessarily immature either. It all depends.

I really can't say anything in absolute terms. Because it all depends. I don't mind the gray areas. They confuse some, but it makes sense to me.

There are situations where I don't like to be in gray areas, like my relationship for example. So not even that statement is an absolute.

I like my flexibility 🙂

you might learn something in life that may change your previous opinion . Gemini's are explorers and we are out living and experimenting so when you gain experience we are adaptable to change views . For example i thought alcohol killed people but then i learned that people who don't exercise control with alcohol kill themselves . I think just being open makes others jealous because they cant easily adapt like we do .

Idk if it's jealousy, dual. I think some don't understand it all, like can't begin to understand it. Especially fixed signs. So they just write it off I think as being wishy washy, two faced whatever. It's just misunderstanding.

Some gems can't make up their mind to save their life. Maybe that experience some have had with that type of gem really started the whole thing. Who knows. My opinions for the most part remain the same. BUT I'm open to change, new information, a new take on things. As long as it makes sense to me.

That's me though, my two cents.

Thank you!! People i'm not close to may see me as being flighty, random, and superficial but that's just how I am with strangers because i'm scared to open up to people completely. With my friends and family my whole mentality is a different story.

Likewise. I rarely change my opinions but if I do it's usually because someone made a good point...but I do see where everyone is coming from...all the time lol.

I agree with some things as trying new foods, a new hobby or trying to change your perception about a culture etc., is natural. Those are not what I was talking about. I was referring to my core values. In today's society, too many people, especially young people, are influenced by bad influences. Instead of listening to their parents regarding good and bad influences, often younger people who haven't dealt with many adult mature issues, can't see past their need for instant gratification or feedback.

When I was tempted with bad influences in my youth, my firm foundation of core convictions kept me grounded. To this day, those fundamental beliefs have gotten me through many years and some very tough times.

Sure, not all things in life are black and white; there are certainly some gray areas. However, it seems as if we've become so PC that those of us who believe in absolutes of right and wrong are questioned while those who go with the flow and base their choices on what's popular are deemed as "cool" and "enlightened." I couldn't disagree more. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

No fake is when someone constantly projects a false perception or demeanor. MOST Gemini's do NOT do this. We are all about communication and understanding. If we desire those around us to "get us", the last thing we're going to do is project something that we're not.

I've known people who were "fake" and projected this, especially in the work place or on dates and they were other signs, not Gemini's.

If you, cancergoddess143, states Gems are fake, then I have to wonder if all Cancers are emotional crybabies? Because the TWO Cancers I've known and interacted with were total emotional crybabies. So then of course, ALL Cancers are emotional crybabies, right?

Some are manipulators also, but it depends on your chart. I've seen a gem playing puppet master with her friends. You do my dirty work and I'll stay behind the scenes, but another gem I know is cool as hell. So, I won't put all gems in one category.

With all due respect, there are MANY two faced people in the world. Perfect example, I had a 34 year long rapport with a male friend. We had a relationship built on trust and respect. We're both married and have remained in contact throughout the years. 4 months ago he invited me to one of his events (sporting event). The entire 40 minutes I was there, he didn't even acknowledge me but put me on ignore. I finally left conflicted as to what the hell was his problem. I emailed him two days later asking why he treated me this way. I have not heard from him.

Up until 4 months ago, I believed this guy was honest and had integrity. Now I have to wonder if he's pulled a facade with me all these years. He's a virgo btw.

I work with a young lady who when with me alone, is nice and gives me credit for what I contribute to our office. I am much more experienced in my field (healthcare) than she is and have helped her with her job. When I'm out of the office, she talks behind my back and tells the Dr. I work with stuff that isn't even close to reality. She also takes credit for "MY WORK"....She's a total flake and fake....btw., she's a Capricorn.

I know we all someone in our lives who is fake and two faced. Gemini's don't hold a monopoly on being two faced or fake in as much in my example above that all Cancer's are crybabies. People are more than there astrological sign.

Notice I said SOME not all. I even said that I'm not putting all gems in the same category. I stayed saying gem because gems being two faced is the topic. I even said I know nice(cool) gems. I will say that there is one that I don't get a long with who can't seem to get over it for some reason. I don't judge other people because of someone else's actions. Never.
