Something very odd occurred to me yesterday afternoon, as I was working on my new career path. In the past year, I have dated two Leos, however briefly, and both times I was propelled forward in my life. I was forced to face an underlying want and come to terms with a inner desire I was neglecting. They forced me to be honest with myself. Both times changed my life.
Although I have read Scorp is the catalyst for change, could Leo be one as well?
My life is completely over-run with Scorps but, in my life, they have never been a catalyst for change. But the Leo male, is something very different. For one thing, Scorps lack the intensity of the Leo male. In the presence of Leo males, I often feel completely naked and bare, like they can see through me to my core. And although Leo is suppose to be a playful sign, I find them solemn, serious, and heavy in my presence. They root around in my undergrowth and force me to be honest with myself by being an example. They don't even have to say anything.
I find it very odd that my two encounters with Leo males have changed my perspectives on who I am and what I want so much.
Is this a fire/air thing? A Libra/Leo thing? or Just a little_sparrow thing?
Did the Leos have other placements that made them solemn and serious? I tend to be this way but I always assumed it was my Scorp rising. I need to know that a person has honorable intentions before I open up.
The Leo's greatest fear/weakness is a Trojan horse of friendship. A Leo will always blame themselves if they ever get burned by someone because, in their mind, they should have known better. Leos tend to be very trusting and vulnerable once they open up the gates, so they need a very rigorous and thorough screening process at the door. When in doubt, the process includes an emotional slash-and-burn, making sure that everyone starts at the same level. That way there are no pretensions, and no ulterior motives.
For me, air signs, especially Gemini and Libra, bring out the best (and occasionally the worst). Their attention gives inspiration to put our hare-brained schemes into action.
Did the Leos have other placements that made them solemn and serious?
No. One has a very similar chart to yours. I thought the Gemini would have made him carefree. The other did have a Scorp moon. Even my Scorp best friend's husband, is very solemn and serious around me. We always have uneasy conversations. (Although, he is a bit of a hot head and I am convinced he willfully misunderstands my good intentions.) He also has a Scorp moon. My cousin is the only Leo male who is carefree around me. (We are related by marriage not blood.) Perhaps, there is no sexual tension and this is why?

Can you expand on this for me Cookie? As a Libra, I rather keep things light, playful, and *airy* until I can trust the other. I prefer hanging out in the light as oppose to the dark. It seems opposite with Leos. They need to get to the bottom and with all things Leo ... now.
With the last Leo, there were no pretensions. He dealt with me at my base. It was unnerving. He stirred things up.
I think Leo men are much more serious and conservative as they get older, usually because they've failed once or twice in some spectacular way and don't want to travel that path again. For that reason, they are initially suspicious of new people and new ideas. They might be tempted to throw caution to the wind yet again, but they want it to be a calculated risk instead of the blind faith they had before.
Your best friend's husband more than likely became much more serious after they married. He probably sees it as the end of his maturity process, his duty to become the stoic man of the house. There may be some sexual tension between you two, but he doesn't see the need for superfluous flirtation anymore.
I am uncertain chocolate. I am still processing. I think their very presence in my life changed it.
The Little Leo was the one who reminded me of a truth I had forgotten. Had I not met him, I would probably still be very much in love with Virgo-Virgo ex. He was the one that reminded me what a great partnership could be. I am no longer in love with Virgo-Virgo ex. This is HUGE.
The latest Leo ... he propelled me down my new career path by example. He is following his passion and I though ... if this yahoo can do it ... why can't I? Ever since doors of opportunity are just flying open. I don't even know what to make of it.
It is really hard to describe. One has propelled me forward on my love life, the other on my career. That is pretty remarkable as I have been stuck in both for some time.
Here's another possible explanation...Saturn in Leo. I don't remember, LS, but was it you whom I had this conversation with? You were going through some issues with your ex, and didn't know what to do. You felt trap, and finally decided to end things? That's you, right? Crush on your Leo Boss? I just wanna make sure you're the same person. If it is you, the reason why leo's are having such an influence on your life is because you are going through your Saturn Return.
Remember, I told you that the day you were born, Saturn was in the sign of Leo. When Saturn returns to leo (28-30 years later), you go through your Rite of Passage into Adulthood which is called a Saturn Return...Now, here's where it gets interesting...
Saturn governs restrictions and limitations. Everything that Leo represents (Strength, Vitality, Energy, Boldness, Magnetism) Saturn restricts in you. The reason why you seem to be so attracted to and influenced by members of Leo is because they exhibit and show off all that is restricted within yourself. Sounds weird, eh?
As far as your relationship(s) go w/ Leo, the reason why it's so tough is because they are forcing you to shed that old skin...to change...that's why those relationships can be hard, and I guarantee that those two men will continue to play a significant role in your life while Saturn remains in Leo(until 2007). You will also always be attracted to other Leo's while Saturn remains. When the Saturn of one chart (your Saturn in Leo) conjuncts the Sun of another's chart(his Sun in Leo)...it spells fated/karmic events. Whether short-lived or long term, the relationshiop was meant to be for a reason...that reason being your own growth & maturity.
I'm going through this right now. My boyfriend is enduring his Saturn Return in Leo, and I am a leo...we were off and on for about a Year b/4 we fine tuned our relationship...and it was definitely TOUGH! Things are going great, now, but there's sometimes some kind of tension. Nevertheless, we're together for some reason (not sure why, yet), and it's apparent that we both have lessons to learn. BTW, my Saturn oposes his Sun, which can have the same influences as the conjunction (My Saturn is Libra, his Sun is Aries)
Hope this helps, and good luck w/ the rest of your journey!
Much of what you are saying, however, rings very true for me. Leos are showing me the restrictions in my life. This is VERY true. This is exactly what I am trying, however ineloquently, to explain. But and this is a big but, my saturn was in cancer. I have already gone through Saturn returns.
"ooops" The lion says to herself as she puts her foot in her mouth, "I think i'll go hide in my cave now!"
Sorry to have made my error, LS...I feel really stupid LOL! But your moon in Leo does serve as an explanation. Having your moon in your partners' sign means that you know them very well. Your emotional self exhibits their outer personalities. That's a pretty strong aspect to be made to another's chart. But nevertheless, their inspiration is worthwhile and should still be embraced. good luck!
I miss my libra.... She hurt me so much. I haven't talked to her for months... It is her birthday on the 5th... I miss her a lot, but I hate her so much.
Hate is a strong word, but that shouldn't stop you from doing what you feel in your heart. Maybe you could send her a sweet birthday card, or a happy birthday text message. Acknowledge her birthday, if you'd like. I'm sure she'll appreciate it. First and foremost, do what feels right for you.
No, I havent. I have been living with this shit on my back for a long time. She changed how I see everyone, I see everyone as a potential enemy, even the ones I love. I dont trust or care for others.
When I was with her, I was a one woman kind of guy; I loved. Since the day she walked away, I have been fucking girls and dropping them. It has been so long... I just wish she said goodbye...
Well, one thing that's for sure is you need to talk to her to get closure. You seem to have a lot of built up anger right now because of her. She is the one that can help you on your way. I understand you are hurt but you got to not look at everyone as a potential enemy. It's not easy when you are hurt as it's normal to want to lash out at others. Please don't let this girl change your morals and values. You should continue to be a one woman man as it should be. It's not the other girls' fault that this Libra girl hurt you. One day one of these girls you're bedding might get very mad at you for dumping/dropping her. Love is a scary and wonderful thing. Right now you are in pain. What you can do is have "me" time. Me time is that you concentrate on yourself and cleanse out all the anger you have right now. It's no good for you.
This is only advice and not a lecture whatsoever. I wish you all the best.
Leos are natural kings, and good leaders will ALWAYS advise you look into yourself and wonder how you can best take control of your own life. Leos are fire signs, but are less "spazzy" and young-at-heart than their fellow Aries and Saggitarians. A man who is good and dependable will make you question whether or not you yourself are.
I disagree. Don't call. Depending on how long ago the relationship ended, she won't understand why you are calling. It isn't worth your dignity.
I think the end of a love affair with a Libra is usually a shock. People just don't see it coming. I am not sure how to compensate for it because we are on, on, on and then seemingly out of nowhere we turn off. Even I have shocked myself by turning off. Even I may not have known I was unhappy. At times we have been struggling with the decision for sometime, and although we have tried to communicate our displeasure, we just aren't heard. We have a way of putting our partners first so they are the only one in the room. They are the only thing that matters. We are completely devoted and how could someone so devoted leave you and be unhappy with you? And that is the question of Libra.
It is all complicated by the fact we are so removed from our emotions. We would rather change ourselves to fit your idea, so you are happy, than ever voice our displeasure. We become slaves to your happiness. It is very unsettling to disapprove or be angry with our lovers so we rather change ourselves than allow you a moment of discontent.
But at some point, it becomes too much. It is one little push that sends us crashing down into the reality of who we have become and suddenly, that one little thing topples the whole mountain and we simply can't. It usually sends us into a panic searching for self.
She betrayed you and for that I am truly sorry. She only did so because she betrayed herself. If she loved you, she loved you completely until she realized she was gone and it was only a shell of self, a self created for your pleasure that was left. And if she went to all this trouble, she loved you completely. If she didn't say goodbye, it was because she couldn't. And that is truth.
LS...even though I'm not involved, your last post was touching. I want to ask you a question about Libras trying to change themselves to please their partner..this is a subconscious thing?
I am a Leo...naturally strong, and sometimes overbearing, although it isn't intentional...I would like to hear from you, if you can verbalize it, what someone like me would have to do to prevent you from feeling you had to change. I hate imposing...but with some more sensitive people, I seem to do it automatically because I am vocal with my displeasure, and they take it to heart. This is something I would like to prevent but I find it is impossible to change some things in my nature...so, my question, is there a way, from your perspective, that I could prevent this from occurring with Libras?
As for your experience with Leos...I have also found it to be true...all Leos I know seem serious. And I am a Leo; I act the same way. It takes certain circumstances and moods to bring out my playful side. As for the catalyst thing, you are definitely on to something.
Gooood question. I am not sure I have the answer but I will try. The truth is you can't stop me from changing because I am change. I reinvent. I don't do it because I want to, I do it because it is my nature. It has to do with bring various parts of self into balance. It is something that I can't define. An inner compulsion.
Astrologically speaking, Libra is defined through the eyes of their lover. But really, we are defined through everyone just our lover has the most power over us. We need other people as a definition of self. Libra is considered the most empathic sign and we just get the inner workings of others and change. We are often considered the chameleon of the zodiac. Perhaps this is the disadvantage of being the first sign to deal with people as oppose to self.
This doesn't seem right. There is much more to it. I just need to think on it more.
aha, LS, now I have an answer for that. I need to think about it a bit, but that question prompted me to explain some ways in which Libra and Leo are definitely different in that respect.
"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love."
don't most people go insane when left too long without others? could this be because we need the limits of others to define us whether we accept those limits or reject them?
(notice me completely avoiding wheel's question. lol)
Little Sparrrowm Interesting you say this as I am going throught he same thing (I am Scorp) and "kinf of" dating my ex who os a Leo.
I had a converstaion about this very thing with him last weekend. He helped me evolve 18 years ago. Made me WANT to become stronger/wiser/heal;thier/sucessful.
Although we went through a rough divorce 15 yrs. ago, he is now back in life and perhaps its for the same reason...being the catalyst for change at once again?
nice subject. Leo might be a catalyst for Libran girls but not for libran men. Its more of a slight pain and frustration wat leo females bring to libran men from my experience. Scorpion women acts as a better catalyst for libran men. Aries also acts as a catalyst but on a higer degree since they are not slow to changes like scorpion women.

Hello. I just began researching a new zodiac; it is called the vedic, or sidreal zodiac; logistically, it states, when in fact you are born what sign the sun was really in; it is based on the prescision of the sun traveling through the signs. for example;
