i can agree with these whole-heartedly. i may love new gadgets, electronics, and anything around gaming but my favorite gifts are the sentimental ones. they don't have to cost a lotta money. they can even be free but the memories are priceless.
my favorite gift was a mere text msg from someone i love deeply that i had to let go. he and i hadn't spoken in months but he remembered my birthday. he took a risk and texted me to wish me well and tell me that he missed me. it made my day! my birthday was in august. i still have that msg and i don't plan on deleting it either.

We did not have a lot of money so one year, my hubby contacted a friend that owned a cabinet shop and he spent a couple of weeks at night and on weekends building me a dining room table to fit into a small dining area that we had. I had no idea what he was up to. He made it from maple and cut out patterns in the shape of hearts into the framework. We are now divorced and I REFUSE to let go of this table. It is currently in my garage and will go with me until the end of time.
