I am guilty of gluttony and spending money also...

I have decided to really take my dieting more seriously! I mean, I usually work out, but, I always let myself eat what I want...I finally decided it is time to cut out the fat and get off this crazy "pizza diet"!! LOL!

Unfortunately for me, my income is adequate to the point that I rarely have to tell myself 'no'...but, this is not good...

I have also decided that being a 'spoiled brat' as I am in unattractive and I must work harder to 'give back to the universe'!! This is my current quest! I think I am better for it!!!

How about we look at the Seven Wonders of The World—?

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following got the most votes:

1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one quiet student hadn't turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were
so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."

The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:

1. to touch
2. to taste
3. to see
4. to hear
She hesitated a little, and then added
5. to feel
6. to laugh
7. and to love

The room was so full of silence you could have heard a pin drop. Those things we overlook as simple and "ordinary" are truly wondrous. A gentle reminder that the
most precious things in life cannot be bought.

Man is some wonder... For all that he creates, he destroys just as much. LOL... I think I'd put man under the "freak wonders of the world" list, because I'm pretty sure that we're the only species on the face of the earth that goes to war with one another. Hhhmmm... It's probably because only humans have the minds to come up with the coolest way to kill masses of people and destroy cities. Although, I guess it helps that only humans really build cities. I guess maybe it's because humans actually have something worth keeping that they figure out ways to destroy it.

Yep, we sure are quite a species aren't we? I must say that we make life a very interesting process. As I was out today I saw the headlines of a newspaper that read, "Understanding War" Hmmmmm....I thought...understanding war? how does one understand the reason behind killing? I came to the conclusion that (for me) understanding war is the Absence of Love. That's it, plain and simple. I am only hoping that good will come out of this experience.

I think it's not necessarly an absence of love but a love in maybe the wrong thing, or at least put to the wrong means. For example, a person's love for their country can be twisted into a need for war. Love in and of itself is a wonderful thing, but when you but theories and priciples behind it, it ceases to be that pure feeling of good will towards all, and becomes selective, even perhaps turning to hate, as those two emotions are not so far off as they might seem.

sorry freebird but only the pyramids and the wall of china on your list are actually two of the "wonders of the world" I know-I know-I'm out of context-don't be so critical-no one cares, etc. etc....but I know too much about it not to let it bug me. The Collasus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria were my favorite.

As for the seven sins, currently it is gluttony because boy-oh-boy do I love the taste of food. Give me a few years and it will be lust i'll need forgiveness for.

lol... The Prince is a master peice!!! I took this quiz once and I came out 85% Machiavellian... Which is I think the highest score out of the people who took it, and enough to rank me as an extremely sadistic opertunist... But hey, I think I'd make a very good evil world dictator, although personally I'd have much more fun being the rebel leader who over throughs the world dictator (my need for drama would be far more satisfied)...
