And Christmas? ummmmm......I kinda lost the spirit when they started putting Xmas decorations in the shops in early October....now all they do is play carols.....can you imagine by the 25th how sick of it people are going to be—

Whatever happened to the real spirit rather than the commercial side?? argghhhhh....I look forward to it being over although I will enjoy the festivities regardless hehehehe

Yeah, Spain is different..they dont do the whole commercial thing in small cities where i am!! They have the 3 kings on January 6th instead..Christams #2 for me!!

I am looking forward to my little celebration with my mom and her friends/neighbours. I am hoping to grab some of them and have a little party complete with mulled wine and sing-a-longs.


I am also looking forward to my celebration with the Aries. We found this incredible, unbelievable sausage. We call it our special occassion sausage. It sounds crazy but it is UNBELIEVABLE how good it is. lol! I scoffed at first too.

Personally, I am tired of the commercial side of life. I am tired of the buy, buy, buy. We are destroying the planet for what? Another type of tuperware? Another t-shirt? Another hair gel? Another gadget?

It is crazy.

I really wish I could stop shopping myself. It is just so hard. Seems like the whole of our societies are set-up to consume.

Unfortunately consumerism and over-consumption is the American way (and the 51st state), it just goes into overdrive at x-mas. I only give a few small gifts to a couple of family members, something that I know they really need. And many large drinks to friends.

And an IOU to my Jewish friend...the gift that keeps giving, he gets to calculate the compound interest all year long...(I keed, I keed)
