Just random personal things that might out me as crazy....just wondering if other Libras do this or have done it.

-I sometimes will have a 'pretend conversation' with people, or carry on a conversation with that said person in my head after they are already gone..most of the time, to picture what i SHOULd have said, or just imagine how that person would react to waht I'm saying.

As far as I know, the said person, I'm talking to isn't an idealized version of them, as in the idea I 'imprint my thoughts in what they say' they are meant to be as close to the actual person or reactions I would get to them, given how i've talke dto them before.

I am deeply in fear that one day, I'll actually won't be able to tell the difference between when i've actually talked to them or if it was just in my head.

-I have people that use very contradictory words to describe me..I don't know if it's my rising...or my sun..but just today, one of my supervisors was commenting on how "VERY professional and quiet I am." and then commented that I give off this vibe that I'm a 'free spirit that's light-hearted and does things for herself.'.

So how can one be a 'stick up her ass-by the books person' and a 'happy-flower-child' at the EXACT same time?

Is this a libra thing?

-I also when I'm nervous, I tend to make really lame jokes..(like groaning lame) the idea behind it, is that I'm trying to connect with a person in the most easiest way that i can, by making them laugh. It's also useful in making a person that's notoriously shy, be able to open up to me more..because "who'd would be intimidated by the silly girl cracking lame jokes."

-I'm a selfish person, I can accept that it's something I have to work on for myself..i used to have a phrase I use..."I will ALWAYS get my way, even if I don't get my way, I'll always get my way." The idea is a way of making lemons into lemonade...so, I don't get the job I want, well then I'll get a job similar to it, and work it so damn good that the supervisors will feel bad for not hiring me for the other job. If I don't get to pick the movie, I'll pick the seating arrangements...one, time I auditioned for a lead part, didn't get it, they gave me a couple of bit-characters...so, instead of bitching about not getting the lead part, I helped with making a prop, I wrote in a few jokes in the play, and when a secondary lead character dropped out, I learned that chicks lines, and in audtioned to doing my parts, I did HER part as well. It has always worked otu for me in the past, I've fallen out of practice because well I'm trying to learn to not be as selfish.

yep all the time when i came back from an upsetting situation and im alone home and sometimes i replay the conversation ( this usually ahppens while im doing something random to keep me busy like cleaning my room) and then i would suddenly speak the words/ thoughts that was inside my head when all the drama happened. it was like the person was there and then i was like walking and passed by the mirror that i realized i was really having a conversation with myself complete with animated expressions on my face haha.

I tend to like things, furniture, electronics, clothing that has or can have dual functions....ottoman storage unit that can be a coffee table...game system that can play dvd's(and go online), army jackets, swiss army knives, wrap dresses, wraps....if it can do more than one thing relatively well and looks good(clean presentation) at the same time i'm all in.

hey beautifulstruggle have you read the book --the secret language of birthdays? its pretty good.

anyways back on topic.

my phone is an n8 when everyone pushes me to buy an iphone. n8 can let you download music without restrictions it can be plugged into a tv to watch a movie with just one cable blah blah . haha i know i have a weird answer but i tend to buy something that may not be the "in" thing sometimes it can be considered geeky but in my heart i know someday someone will ask to borrow my geeky stuff because when it comes to functionality it trumps the popular choice.

oh and with clothes i mix a classic piece with a updated accessory or cheap stuff and one expensive item vice versa. My friends say when its me mixing pieces/ outfits it makes sense ( maybe because im weird) but if someone else would wear it its like a fashion crime.

Oh and yeah I Love Weird Men.

Yah I've read it...it's interesting enough..there's a site that the book is based on, can't think of the name offhand.

But hell yes!!! I am the EXACT same way...Hell yah, i bought an ipodshuffle becasue i loved the design, after everyone was wondering why i didn't get just a large ipod...i love how small it was and the fact that i can clip it on my clothing..(would love to get some in multiple colors) or at leaset another one that has more memory.

I hadn't mastered mixing pieces yet..at least not artfully done....I've recently stepped back on my style when i had children and got married (because my husband HATES most of my clothes) I used to own like ten polyester shirts now I own like maybe three at most. but I'm trying to figure ways to get back in that groove...I'm thinking linen shirts, batik fabric and african dutch prints or mudcloth..and then go crazy with the accessories..emphasis on earrings and bags.

I hear you on the weird men tip, eccentric is sexy..but I actually like shy guys the most, the whole clark kent vibe..where the guy has this appearance that he isn't all that's about him..I live for that shit...makes me want to be his lana lang.

I do this as well occasionally and I have no Libra what so ever in my chart 😆!

Internally relaying conversations you once had/possibly will share with others isn't crazy, if that's what you're referring to.

Is that wishful thinking? or do you have something to back that up, I'm not trying to 'get at it with you'...just that I never really knew someone that's done this besides me..MOST people who've actually witness me doing this while i'm by myself, say I look crazy when I'm sitting by and I start smiling or making reactions as though I'm listening to someone that isn't there...but yhah sure, since the advent of blackberry headsets..everyone seems to look like me..so it isn't as bad. Just something on my mind lately...

To the other libra..exactly, exactly.

I was going to make another thread, but I think this is as good as any, and still on topic.

When I discuss anything especially if it's a debate..I never argue to change the person's mind, that goal is about as far away from my comprehension.

I argue to be understood. Does that make sense? I don't think i'm absolutely without a doubt right on all accounts, that is why I have more respect for a well-constructed arguement that I disagree with than a poor dribble of one that's along with what I believe in.

So the idea that people think I'm self-righteous, or that I'm talking down to them, or that I'm trying to change their mind or that I'm even trying to force someone to follow whatever 'advice' I give them is very puzzling...because that's not my point, I don't care if you change your mind, I don't think I'm better than you, and I don't care if you don't follow my advice.

I want to be understood. I want you to understand where I'm coming from...and if you want to agree to disagree, that's perfectly fine with me.

Which is why I appreciate small quips some posters make like...

"I see what you mean, but...."

"I got that..."

"Okay so you mean this....but this is what i'm trying to say."

Is that a Libra thing?
