Libra man coming on strong. Typical?
Hey babes.. yes, in my observations and experience (even before my current Libra) they tend to come on VERY strong... just over-the-top romantic and sweet and pursuing you hardcore.. saying and doing all the right things.. "future talking"... sweep you right off your feet stuff! LOL But you can already see that, eh?
Why do they do this, when it's SO obvious to anyone who knows Libras (or reads up enough on them) that they're SO hard to "catch" and they seem to fall out of love as easily as they seemed to fall INTO it?! Well, it's almost like they're.. hmm.. "trying you on for size"... I've seen so many Libras (males, at least) behave like it's the PERFECT relationship, serious right off the bat, almost like they could pop the question any time or something. He's behaving and talking like you're the love of his life, but here's the rub.. he's actually still deciding even though it might SEEM like he's already decided you're The One! He treats the relationship as serious right away, seeing how it fits, seeing if it works. Usually for a Libra, it doesn't fit, or they take an interminably long time to make up their mind for real! (Typical of many Libras!) And the thing is, if they DO decide you really ARE The One... they won't really be behaving notably different than they always were!! So where was the line? When did we cross it?? Who knows? lol And a lot of times, they never reach that line, but by then the girl is hopelessly, helplessly in love with Mr. Wonderful... and gets terribly hurt. (That gives Libra men (esp young ones) more of a 'womanizer' reputation than he probably deserves, tbh.)
All I can tell you, love.. is pace yourself. He may try to push it full speed ahead, but YOU need to resist his (considerable) charms and stay at a comfortable, steady pace to prevent you from losing your marbles before he's even really decided! He may try to become the center of your world, and sew you up tight way too soon, but if your head is spinning and it seems too fast, listen to your instincts... and slow him down.
Also, Libra-Pisces isn't a traditionally ideal match... but some sites do admit that after about age 30 or so, it can work out rather nicely. Age and maturity and wanting the same things.. peace, harmony, connection.. lack of drama and insecurity. The biggest struggle is communication (unless you have the same Mercury lol), so you'll BOTH need to do your part to communicate openly and honestly, and compromise!

My mercury is Aries and his is Libra. Thanks for the advice Nefer and I will definitely follow it. I told him that I have to meet in person before I can be too serious or talk really serious. I will be meeting him in the next two weeks when he has some business to do here. Luckily I am very good at compromise and most of the time I don't care if something is done "my way". I am a very adaptable person and I really tend to understand where others are coming from so I don't get judgmental or mad at things easily. I will keep ya'll updated on the new developments with the hottie...lol.

I am finding out so many things about myself are common for Libras... I always though I was just weird. I do this too. I have never "casually dated", it is more like a test drive for long term. If I was into someone it always moved very quickly. Even when I was much younger I always seemed to be looking for "the one". When all my guy friends were doing the casual hook-ups, I was trying to find something deeper. People always told me I was too young to be so serious about it but its just how I am. If I don't see it being able to work long term, why bother?
His words are probably sincere but he is still testing the waters. Everyone saying to take it slow is correct. Follow what you feel but make sure you don't get too caught up in it too quick.

some time ago, when i fell for the pisces who broke my heart, my feelings could have gone either way. he was so sweet, but i was afraid i'd lose interest and hurt him. and that's what did it to me. that's why i ended up caring too much and letting MYSELF get hurt...he seemed so vulnerable, so easy to hurt, and i didn't want to hurt him. the dedication to being good to him ended up getting me hurt.
the pisceans i've known, in hindsight, have all been all seemed so sweet and delicate, but deep down they were some of the most obstinate and strong-willed people i've ever known (only this wasn't often apparent to people because it was sort of presented itself differently than other signs might present it).

Thank you so much for that Curious visitor. I am a chameleon so I tend to go at the same speed and adapt to how the other person is being but I am a very strong person b/c of all that I have had to go through and endure in my life. My heart is indeed still soft enough to get broken "if" I let it but it is very resilient and strong. I now know that there are other fish in the sea if one doesn't work out but the most important thing I know now is that I don't have to have a man to be happy! I love my friends and just being single actually so if something with a man (even one I really like) doesn't work out then I just pick up and move on. He called me twice yesterday and an email and he called me this morning. He is very sweet and I am looking forward to meeting him but with all of the advice I have received on Libras I am going to be a little slower and I am also going to show my strong heart so that he won't be afraid that he will hurt me. He already knows a bit of my story so I think from that he knows that I am a strong woman and he knows that I have options and that it what he jokingly said I could get rid of now that we have met one another...lol.

Oh yay! 😉 I just checked out compatibility chart and did what tubbyscubby said to do to find percentage of compatibility and we only had 40.7% .....hhhhmmmm. That was done without birth times though.
We shall see b/c I am definitely going to see what happens with this Libra b/c I like who he is so far. 🙂

If you saw how hot and heard how sweet he was you would know why I have to at least give it a try! I am not putting all my eggs in one basket especially after what I have found out about Libra's though...lol. I have been attracted to Capricorns lately and the compatibility percentage with the one I have been talking to is like 94% ! StPat... don't you know that women tend to CREATE their attraction for a man? Usually that "initial rush" that "instant spark" is more like your intuition trying to warn you to be careful, esp if you have a history of being drawn to these "sparking" guys and getting burned!
But women CREATE attraction. Think carefully... think about a guy you were with for awhile and soooo into, and he eventually hurt you, even though you were SO head over heels for him and he was awesome and amazing... and think further back.. to when you met him... when you met him and he first pursued you.. he was.. "Eh" or "Okay".. he wasn't some Brad Pitt heart throb, didn't knock you off your feet, didn't burn you up with instant lust... and he WASN'T the be-all and end-all that he eventually became to you... as you got closer to him, got to know him more.. he seemed more and more attractive.. funnier.. sweeter... the deeper you fell in love, the greater he became in your mind... You CREATED deep attraction for a guy that when you first met him, he was merely "Okay" or "Fine" or a "Nice Guy".. there was no spark, but you built your fire over time anyway!
Moral: Don't think a guy with no "initial chemistry" can't become the love of your life. Give men a chance to show you who and what they are... your deep attraction will build!
And: "Instant Spark" isn't all it's cracked up to be, and probably way overrated.

every time i've tried to date somebody i didn't have an instant spark for, it ended up being a mistake. i ended up being hurt...and by someone i hadn't even wanted in the first place. the pisces who broke my heart...just an enjoyable conversation until he started acting like i was the best thing ever, then i gave him a chance because i thought he liked me so much, then he broke my heart. the cancer who stalked me...wasn't my type, but he seemed so sweet, then he wouldn't take no. ugh.
i don't have much experience with the guys i have felt that spark for, though, because i usually just run away and hide from them. but the few i have, even though it didn't work out, i didn't get hurt, and i didn't have regrets. it just fizzled. but then, in those cases things started well after the spark, so it had probably already fizzled by the time we went out.
i'd rather risk the instant spark over working on it.
i don't like anything i have to work for anyways. the easier it is, the more i like it.
whether a libra moves on quickly is usually dictated by how much attention and adoration they're getting from the one they're with. libra comes on strong, and a lot of people are content to just kick back and let libra keep doing all the work, then libra starts to get pissed off that the other person isn't doing more. libra starts to wonder if the other person even likes them...if they me, why aren't they showing it, why am i doing all the work? so libra writes them off and moves on.
to others, it can look like libra is just chasing the next shiny toy. libra never SAID they needed more from the other. they just expected the other to read their mind. how fair is that? not at all. but libras are contradiction on legs, so deal with it. if libra kisses your ass, and you don't kiss libras ass, expect libra to move on. you clearly don't care that much anyways.

I tend to trust the spark too b/c of past experiences and getting and staying involved with men that I didn't really click with. I know that it can grow with getting to know someone but I just feel friendship feelings for the Virgo and the other thing is that I know he really wants a wife/mother and to get married again and I am sooo not there! I hope we can be friends though b/c he is a great guy! Libra has been messaging me when he can with the time difference between here and Hong Kong and he even called me today....aaaawwww! Well, newest man is a Libra and very handsome indeed! (At least in the pics but we shall see in person b/c I have experienced a couple of men who didn't really look like their photos...lol) We chatted a bit first through email then yahoo but right away he wanted to talk by phone so I agreed. He was very intuitive just by reading my profile and looking at my pics on myspace (I added him on there). He said I could stop dating now that we have found one another. He is full of flattery and romanticism so far to the point that he even posted a song on myspace for me by Jeff Buckley called "Everybody Here Wants You" and he has said that he wants me to go house hunting with him b/c he is possibly moving to my city (he lives three hours away right now) because I will be there so much...lol. He is just "too good to be true" which isn't a bad thing but I just don't trust men so easily. I know that it can be a bit difficult in a romantic Pisces/Libra pairing but I know there are peeps our there who are successful (Nefer and her man).
